Kauai is a paradise filled with tropical colors, smells, and foods, combined with a temperate climate that enfolds you, invigorates you, and refreshes your senses as you wake each morning to an astounding variety of things to see, do, taste, and experience! Imagine yourself a part of this tropical fantasy world.

Welcome to Wailua Bay View, #208!

This condo is the realization of our dream to own property on the beautiful island of Kauai, and to be able to share this with others who share a desire for living life simply, and in an idyllic environment!

Our unit is located on the 2nd floor, and in the center of the complex, with an astounding beach & ocean view. This is not simply a hotel room, it is a apartment-sized condo, equipped with a king-sized bed, (a queen-sized inflatable bed is also available), cable television, WiFi router, a washer/dryer, and bedroom A/C.

There is no daily maid service, however, the unit furnished with everything needed to make your stay carefree and enjoyable; a comfortable and completely outfitted condo. The condo is non-smoking, and no pets are allowed in the unit.

The pool has been remodeled with a beautiful tile mosaic bottom (turtles!), all new furniture, and two poolside gas barbecues. There is plenty of free parking in a well-lit parking lot.

We purchased this property in 2013 and refurbished the unit from top to bottom, adding new flat screen TVs, flooring, draperies, new lanai furniture, linens, kitchen amenities, cooler, pool toys, beach shelter, and more! Every room is carefully cleaned and refreshed after each guest, and we continually make improvements as we visit this paradise every year from the mainland.

During our November 2016 visit we thoroughly cleaned and "spruced up" the condo with some touch up painting. We also re-faced the kitchen and bathroom cabinets, which really brightened up both rooms! Linens are replaced yearly and all amenities are serviced each time we visit. We love this little condo, and hope that it shows!

The dining table & chairs are very comfortable for those (few) times you want to eat inside, (we prefer the lanai). The Visio sound bar is a "must have", because of the nearness to the ocean. It dramatically improves the sound quality of the flat screen TV in the living room, and provides a great way to listen to your favorite tunes via bluetooth. Instructions for doing this are included in our Guest Guide Book.

Road noise is no problem in this unit, due to the double-paned SOUNDPROOF inner window we installed in the bedroom. It slides opens for breezes, or closes tightly for a quiet night's sleep. The only sounds you'll hear are the ocean waves from the lanai!

The FABULOUS view and closeness to the ocean, as well as the lovely grounds and intimate feel of Wailua Bay View, combine to make this property a haven for visitors to Kauai - especially after a long day of exploring all the island has to offer!

This beautiful property is the realization of our lifelong dream to own a piece of paradise and, with our family now raised, we spend as much time here as possible.

What an incomparably lush, verdant island! Kauai is the perfect vacation spot. . . especially at Wailua Bay View. We love this place, and we want to share it with you!

Our central location on the island is perfect for travel destinations North or South, or simply exploring many attractions the East side has to offer. This facility is literally feet away from the beach, with an unobstructed view of the ocean and mountains to the south from our lanai.

Many shops and restaurants are easily within walking distance, including a farmers market (for local produce), and local entertainment (hula & music performances).

The location cannot be beat -- midway between the North (Hanalei) and South (Polihale) shores of Kauai makes our location the perfect stepping-off point for tourist attractions ranging from hiking, to romantic dinner cruises along the Napali Coast.

This is a oceanfront Kauai condo with a gorgeous panoramic view - paradise found, on a budget! Few properties on Kauai provide the unobstructed, and private ocean view that Wailua Bay View Apartments provide. Within the Wailua Bay View community there are very few units that can claim a full and panoramic view of the ocean, and unit #208 is one of those.

What makes this condo unique

Our unit is well-stocked with all the items needed to ensure a comfortable, rejuvenating stay. The furnishings are clean, simple, and lovely; (and did we mention the view?). The ocean view is incomparable and speaks for itself.

Restaurants, shops, and services are within walking distance; this is an excellent location from which to embark upon your adventures anywhere on the island!

Unbeatable Location

The condo is centrally located on the island, which allowed us easy access to everything. We definitely used the beach chairs and coolers quite a bit. The kitchen has everything you need, so I'd recommend stopping off at Costco/Safeway to gather any groceries you may need for your trip. We also rented a couple sets of snorkel equipment for the week in downtown Kapaa, which was very inexpensive. Since the condo gets very hot during the day, the linens and towels get a little musty. We bought some laundry detergent and ran everything through the wash once before use. It's perfect for a couple who is more interested in spending money on activities versus lodging. Great bang for your buck!

Relaxing getaway with a view

We loved this beach front condo. Drinking coffee or eating a pastry from the bakery across the street out on the porch every morning was wonderful.

The owners left us a great guide book for the best shops and food nearby which was extremely helpful. We never had to travel very far to get an authentic Hawaiian experience.

I cannot stress the blessing of having a washing machine in the unit! The air conditioning in the bedroom was also a big plus.

The only concern I would warm future travelers about is that it can get very muggy and warm in the living room since there is no air conditioning. We didn't mind it much, but if you are someone who needs constant air conditioning in doors, this might not be the best place for you.

Clean, comfortable and a convenient home base while vacationing on Kauai!!

We enjoyed our stay and found everything to be as advertised about the condo, including the view. Hearing the sound of the ocean waves throughout the condo made for some great sleeping. Having a pastry from across the street with some coffee and fresh pineapple on the lanai, while enjoying our view each morning was awesome.

We also appreciated the initial contact we received from the local on-island contact to confirm that we were settled and to see if we needed anything. We rested a bit, saw a lot and enjoyed our stay. Thank you David & Rita for such a well kept affordable place!!

Beachfront property, yet so private! Watch the gorgeous sunrise while sipping a hot cup, and enjoying one of many delectable pastries available from the Passion Bakery just across the street!

Strategically located midway on the island, and on the 'ke ala hele makable' (walking & bicycle) trail along the Kauai East coast makes this property walking distance to lifeguarded beaches, shopping centers, restaurants, pharmacy, water features, hiking, and a short drive to all of the wonderful adventures Kauai has to offer.

Many of the attractions tourists enjoy visiting are on the North and South/West shores of Kauai, while all of the conveniences required make each evening a delight are located near this East side oasis. This is the ideal location to rest between adventures and to start each exciting day from! It's also a perfect spot to 'come home' to after a fun-filled day and simply unwind with a favorite drink on the lanai, or next to the pool.

The coconut market place is a short walk away with shops, restaurants, bars and free hula dancing shows. Breakfast at the Hula Girl on wonderful omelets and specialty pancakes. A farmer's market is available in the parking lot as well, selling local produce, (check for dates and times).

While a car is recommended to see all of the sights on the island, it's easy to spend your entire visit without taking the car out of the parking lot. It's easy taking advantage of all the local offerings, including the sandy beach out front, snorkeling at Lydgate Park, or enjoying paddling adventures on the Wailua River. The Wailua River Park is located nearby, offering a great starting point for hiking, kayak and guided boat tours of the famous fern grotto and hidden falls. Smith's tropical paradise luau is also located here, and offers, in our opinion the most authentic Hawaiian luau experience!
