I'm not in the rental business. You get all my stuff when I travel 40% of the year. It helps pay the $900 monthly association dues that provide all the facilities at no extra fees. I usually can adjust my schedule to accommodate most requests. I am one of the few private owners at the resort & have owned for 16 years, its my home to always return to. Chris my 20 year friend, housekeeper & manager keeps it perfect.

Your second floor partial ocean view 800 SF Unit # C 4 is not just a rental It is your home away from home & will provide you with a relaxing, comfortable, wonderful stay for your vacation, honeymoon or anniversary. The same as it does for me when I return to my very upgraded & exceptionally well equipped home.

My home is a nicely decorated (at least I think so) & highly upgraded for myself & my guests. It has imported Italian Tile, Berber Carpeting, Solid Hand Varnished Mahogany Doors, Hunter Douglas Blinds, real wood cabinets, gourmet kitchen, granite counters & a 1 foot raised professional Speakman shower head for tall people.

You vacation with what I provide myself & get to use all my stuff. 2 Flat Screen TV's, 2 Stereos, 2 DVD's, 2 Air Conditioners, 2 Air Purifiers & 2 ceiling fans. My home is treated for tropical mold & mildew every other month. I own the treatment unit. There are 2 Internets. My private secured 50 MB service & the resorts upgraded WIFI. It works away from the condo & makes a great backup if Time Warner goes down.

I leave my full kitchen & condiments & seasonings, all paper products (not starters), foil, baggies, soaps, shampoos, conditioner, laundry supplies you do not have to buy. There is a dozen bath towels, 600 thread count sheets. beach towels, beach chairs, coolers & there is a play pen & high chair available. All the closets & dresser drawers are empty. I leave no clothes there. (This question comes up). I leave my first aid & sewing kit. The living room, kitchen, king bedroom, full bath & the seperate double mirrored 3 light makeup vanity area are described further down.

You have my washer & dryer & all the soap & dryer sheets & the iron & ironing board.

THIS IS NOT A CONVERTED 300 SF HOTEL ROOM TO A STUDIO with a small refrigerator & microwave & a bunch hotel fee's.

Please read the MEDICAL WARNINGS, NO SMOKING POLICY, RACE TRACK & CHICKEN NOISE INFORMATION 1,2 3 & 4 at the end of this description.

The rate of $149 a night is for 2 people. Additional people regardless of age are $15 a night per person. 2 to 4 nights are OK when they are at the end or before another rental or my stays. There is a $50 management fee per stay 2 days or a month. A refundable $150 security deposit or buy VRBO's insurance coverage. Checkout cleaning fee is $110. Longer stays (over 10 days) have interim inspection & cleaning fees of $70.

Kauai Beach Villas is one of the most exclusive, well maintained & secluded Oceanfront Resorts on the island. it is a half mile off the main road & located on a 3 mile long secluded beach that runs from the condo by the adjacent famous Wailua Golf Course to Lydgate Park.

All facilities & parking are free & included in my HOA dues. Parking is in front of my condo.There's a newly re-decked Pool & Jacuzzi. Newly resurfaced Tennis Courts, many BBQ's & great Beach Access. All within a 1 to 2 minute walk.

The Hotel is separate. They give a 10% discount on food at their facilities to my guests. They charge resort fees to their Hotel and all Condo guests to use their facilities. $20 a day for their pools, $10 a day for the gym or $42 a week. All Spa treatments are extra.

The resort is the most centrally located & convenient to everything on the island. Only 5 minutes from the airport, 5 - 10 minutes from either end of Lihue or Kapaa & half way either direction (30 - 45 minutes) to the North or South shores of Poipu & Princeville.

The $110 checkout cleaning fee is for up to 9 days. Over 9 days there are interim cleaning fees of $70. 10 days - 5th day, 11/12 - 5th/6th, 13/14 - 7th day. Longer stays repeat. This protects my home & ensures cleanliness for the next guest.

VRBO has rental guarantees and takes credit cards & has a booking fee.

Your full living room has a remote ceiling fan, air conditioning, air purifier, queen sofa bed comfortable cushioned chair & ottoman, 32' Flat Screen LED HD TV & 74 channels, stereo, DVD, books & a few games with a small but nice distant partial ocean view.

Your lanai has the same view, a cushioned 2 seat bistro set & cushioned chaise lounge.

Your bedroom has a remote ceiling fan, air conditioner, air purifier, king firm bed with a 3' memory foam topper that can be removed for those who prefer to make it firmer. You sleep in 600 thread count sheets. There are 4 pillows 2 firm & 2 medium. You have a 24' Flat Screen LED HD TV with the 74 channels, DVD, stereo.

My large gourmet kitchen is better equipped than most homes. I like to cook & bake. There is filtered water at the sink & in the refrigerator & ice maker. Lots of pots & pans, baking pans, corning ware, fine china, glasses, wine glasses, silverware a Martha Stewart knife set & lots of utensils. Appliances include a full stove & oven, 1100 watt above oven microwave, dishwasher, garbage disposal, blender, hand mixer, coffee maker, toaster, George Foreman Grill, waffle maker, popcorn maker, small food processor, rice cooker, steamer & blender. There's lots of other little stuff like a wine opener, mixing spoons and spatulas, full stove utensils, bowls, Tupperware & more.

There is a 4 cushioned chair separate dining area as well as a granite counter bar & 2 bar stools.

Your nicely decorated bath has brass fixtures, a bath tub & a raised Speakman shower for taller people. It's enclosed by floral brass trimmed sliding doors. There are a dozen great bath towels, hand towels, wash clothes, hair dryer, shampoo, body wash & an electric vent fan.

Between the bath & bedroom is a separate very well lit vanity / desk area with 3 lights, a full make up mirror & a full length wall mirror. A Armoire with 2 drawers & large closet provides extra storage. This area makes it nice to sit & do your hair or makeup or whatever while others are in the bath or bedroom.

For your trips to the beaches you have use of my rolling cooler that fits in a trunk or back seat, a cooler jug, 4 beach towels & one is extra large & 2 beach chairs.

There is NO regular telephone in the condo since 99% of people have cell phones & that added $15 a week to rentals & almost no one used it.

You get to use all my stuff, condiments, seasonings, foil, wraps, zip locks, laundry, dishwasher, hand, shampoo & body soaps, paper towels, toilet paper, tissue, small first aid kit, sewing kit & whatever else. Not starters & you have to go & buy stuff. You get to use everything I have & that saves you money. If you run out my housekeeper will quickly get you more, but that rarely happens as we keep my home well stocked.

The beach, swimming pool, Jacuzzi (whirlpool) & BBQ's are a 1 minute or less walk.

The beach has magnificent morning sunrises, the picture you see on my listing is one of hundreds I have taken. The colors are as lovely as they can get & change everyday.

The resort landscaping is beautiful. There are ponds, waterfalls, fountains, geese, ducks, flowers & foliage to enjoy everywhere.

You are 7 minutes from the airport on the only two lane island highway. This makes it a fast arrival & departure & adds time to your trip. No long drives to the North or South shores after a long tiring trip. For your departure you do not have to leave 4 or 5 hours before your flight to make sure there are no traffic jams or accidents on the one lane roads that cause you to miss your flight.

You are 5 minutes from Walmart in Lihue & 10 minutes from Costco & Macy's & 12 minutes from Kapaa' the best grocery shopping on the island.

I am honest, a Motocross race track is at the end of the golf course & makes noise (like chainsaws) on weekends & holidays. Hours are Saturday, Sunday & Holidays 10am to 6pm. The schedule link VRBO removed not allowing links. You can Google it at Kauai Motocross. Guests have gone to watch. It can be noisy & it is only fair you know. Labor day weekend are 2 days of racing & a banquet.

PLEASE read this location information:

1. Medical warnings for Microbials. Tropical islands worldwide have mold & mildew. If you are sensitive or have allergies you may be bothered. Often people do not think about this when planning a vacation & dreaming of the islands. I remind people just to jog memories so no one gets sick. My condo is fog treated for these every 2 months & is as fresh & as mold free as possible.

2 West Nile Virus & Dengue Fever are present on the island. Use mosquito repellent cases have been reported.

3: Chicken Noise. May wake you up. They are all over the island & scattered during the last hurricane many years ago. Chickens are protected by law birds & aren't eliminated or sent to Foster Farms LOL!

4. SMOKERS of anything, even if you plan to smoke outside or on the Lanai PLEASE DO NOT INQUIRE, the answer is NO! That includes cigarettes, cigars & marijuana. A medical card does not count to negate this. It's smoking! Yes, I know that it is idiotic that I even have to mention this. But LOL it has come up & joints have been left in the safe!. I do not want any smoke odor in my home. If you violate this & special cleaning is needed you will loose your deposit, be liable for any additional fees to eliminate the odor, court costs & legal fees. Yes, I'm serious about this. It is my home & I want it as perfect for my non smoking guests as for myself.

Aloha! I'm 68 years young (Photo is older). I still work & play hard. I am an inventor. My machines & tools for Geosynthetic's are used world wide. My small manufacturing company is 38 years old. I travel for consulting on construction projects, sailing & softball. My small shop is in Northern CA & most of my employees have worked for me between 20 & 35 years. I do not even think of moving my manufacturing to where it would cost less. My staff deserves to keep their jobs in the US. I use all US suppliers.

I am still an avid sailor & softball player. I have been on professional sailing teams & softball teams. I was a support staff member of 'Team Dennis Conner, Stars and Stripes Americas Cup Teams in the 1992 &1995. Yes that was me 20 years ago. I have less hair now!

I still sail & play softball in events worldwide when someone wants to bring in the old 'ringer'!. I played semi pro softball for 13 years in the 1970's & 80's. I have never lost my batting eye, just the legs do not work like they used to, but I am still pretty fast ! The photo is of a recent walk off tournament winning hit on a team with mostly 20 and 30 year olds!

For 30 years I was a well know sports trainer & therapist. I did this during Americas Cups & for other professional teams. I retired after a bad car accident in 2005 & some back & other surgeries over a couple years. I worked hard at my recovery designing my rehab. The doctors say I can do things that I should not be able to do! I regained my less than a body of a GOD & have returned to my active work life, sailing & softball. Many ball players call me the white haired old guy (ringer) you do not pitch to with men on base.

Winning is in the mind! I believe that if I climb a tree, my natural instincts will take me out on the limb, I just know that if the limb breaks the tree will fall and the limb stay in the air!

Why Mounque Barazone chose Hawaii

Simply it is the best resort and location on the island. I have been coming to Kauai since the 70's. This resort was built in 1980 and the hotel in 1984. They choose the best central location on the island. It is convenient to everything. 30 minutes to North and Princeville and South and Poipu. it is 5 to 10 minutes either way between the 2 biggest cities Lihue and Kapaa. Yet is very secluded and off the highway a half mile. It is on a 3 mile long secluded beach that runs along the golf course and ends at Lydgate Park. it's is close to the airport for arriving and leaving on a two lane highway. The best shopping for groceries and restaurants are in Lihue and Kapaa. The resort grounds are beautiful and well maintained, the hotel has excellent food and you get a 10% discount, it has famous weekend buffets, good bar and good pool bar and restaurant. You have the condo nice pool and Jacuzzi 1 minute away. The hotels many pools, Jacuzzis, sand bottom pool and water slide cost $20 a day. There are tennis courts and many BBQ's. Nothing on the island matches it. It is 3 minutes to the famous public golf course. 5 minutes by car and 45 minutes walk to famous Lydgate Park. It is best on the island and with a safe rock walled in swimming and snorkeling lagoon. The sunrises are unparalleled. Arriving and departing at the airport is 6 minutes away on a two lane highway. No driving 30 minutes on a one lane road to get to your a north or south condo. You do not have to leave 4 hours a head of departure to make sure your not caught in a car accident traffic jam on the one lane road or a storm tree fallen and miss your flight. I have stayed North and South and in between and there is no place like this on the island. I finally was able to buy one in 2001 after owning others North and South. I could have bought anywhere, but why settle for something less than this for my home.

What makes this condo unique

This is my private home & not just a rental. You get to use all my stuff. I keep no clothes there so all space, closets, drawers are for your use. Please read the over 123 + (last update) average 4.9 star ratings they say it all. Great well stocked kitchen (I cook), all my condiments & other kitchen items. it is a 1 bedroom with 2 air conditioners & two ceiling fans & may be the only one on the island with 2 of each. I use & you use my 600 thread count sheets, lots of towels, my rolling cooler, beach towels & beach chairs. My household items are yours to use & fully stocked, laundry soap, dish soap, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body gel, first aid kit, sewing kit, hair dryer, washer & dryer, paper towels, toilet paper & much more. I leave all of it for your use. That saves you money. I even have a play pen & a high chair for those with a toddler. I live here & work from here so there is Super High Speed 50 MB private secured internet with WIFI or with 25 foot ethernet cable. Regular cable TV has over 70 channels. 2 flat screen TV's in the living room & bedroom & also 2 stereos. The sofa bed will sleep 2 & has a comfortable 6" Sealy mattress.The king bed has a removable 3 inch memory foam mattress topper that can be removed for those who want a firmer bed. Mirrors Galore. In front of the bedroom closet & washer/dryer are bi-folding mirrored doors.The bedroom has a desk, chair & mirror, between the bedroom & bathroom is a separated work & vanity area with a desk, chair three vanity lights, a long wall mirror above the desk & a large full length wall mirror. The vanity area has a large armoire with closet & 3 drawers. My old & wise experience has taught me when there are multiple women (teens included) going out they all need to do get ready at the same time. This way their makeup, hair, nails & so on can be done sitting down while someone else is in the bathroom (GUYS FINALLY). What an amazing island. So much to do and see. Your condo is in a perfect location to explore North, South, East and West. The helicopter ride with no doors off was absoutely amazing. I was looking forward to the Na Pali Coast but it was Mt Wei that blew us away, fantastic. Your ice making fridge is terrific we filled the big esky with ice, put food in the little esky, put the little esky in the big esky and took water bottles and we were ways all day, everyday exploring. We really enjoyed our stay at this location , Unit was very clean and well equipped, close walk to pool and hot tub , All grounds where very well kept .

This unit was under sold , King size bed was comfortable, You can walk for ever on the beach here , barbecues where great !

It is my home I rent when I travel so it is not an ordinary rental but a home with all the comforts you mention. I leave everything for my guests to use. I keep it neat and clean for myself and thus for the guests, I have the carpets cleaned regularly, I own a fogging machine and treat it for mold and mildew every three months. It may be the only tropical condo anywhere that is 95% mold free. My long time friend, housekeeper and manager maintains it perfectly when I am gone and I rent it. Awesome Kauai Condo!

This was our 4th reservation that we've made for Monk's condo. It's always been great in every respect, and we've come to love the place. What I'd like to talk about in this review is the location on the island. Monk's condo is on the north edge of Lihue. If you imagine the island like a horse-shoe, with the open end on the west side, that's what the roads around Kauai are like. It's one main highway that covers everything but the far west side. Monk's place is in the middle of that horse-shoe, making it ideal to get to any part of the island. You're an hour from the end of the road on the north shore, and a little over an hour from the end of the road on the south shore. Everything you want to do is close enough to let you make great choices. Raining in the north? Head south for the day. Want to get a parking spot at Tunnels? Leave in the morning, and you'll get there with plenty of time.

It's also close to great places to eat. Besides all of the restaurants around Kapaa'a and Lihue, there are some great take out places. Mark's Place is an absolute delight, and it's 10 minutes from Monk's condo. We even bought burritos at Da Crack and took them back to the condo, and they were still hot (about a 25 minute drive). It's close to Costco, the airport, and the grocery stores.

By comparison, we've also stayed at the end of the road on the north shore. That requires a lot of planning (no food, either prepared or grocery, nearby). Getting to the south shore from the north is a haul. The weather is so variable that it's really nice to be able to plan a day based on the surf report and a quick look at the radar. Staying at Monk's condo gave us the best of all worlds.

We enjoyed our 4 day in early November, 2016 stay at unit C4, 4330 Kauai Beach Drive, Lihie. it is ideally located midway between north and south of the island. It is also close to the airport and helicopter rides. As for the internet, use the private use ID and PW info by the router and not the instructions in Mr. Mounque's rental agreement details. The place is clean and comfortable.

Owner's Response: Thanks for the 4 stars and the excellent. The instruction for the internet in my condo users manual I send all my guests are actually very clear. Over 100 pre3vious have never had a problem or needed help. But it requires reading the simple instructions. There are two sets. One for my private 50 MB high spped internet and one for using Wyndham's. I responded to his call in 5 minutes and all was well and he was hooked up in 6 minutes. I have my own private 50 MB secured high speed internet I let my guests use and I do not use the homeowners and Wyndham internet. It is also available to my guest as a back up or if they wonder away from the condo or mine goes down which has never happened.. There are instructions for using both. But if you just turn on your computer and go on line Wyndham's pops up in your browser like any hotel. All he needed to do was follow the manuals instructions and either plug in the supplied Ethernet cable or open his WiFi connections and select my unit and the use wap code provided in the manual and also on my router. Over 100 guests have done this and never once was I called or they needed help. But one has to read the manual and instructions and not just do the same as you would at a hotel and open the browser and try to hook up to what pops up. The old adage still applies when all else fails READ THE MANUAL. The same was true for directions to my unit which are easy and crystal clear and no one has ever contacted me about them or got lost. But he did and called and I responded in a couple minutes and talked him through them. Seems like a nice older wife and guy around my age. I am glad all else was good and he enjoyed his stay. As so many guests state I respond to any needs rapidly. I am glad to take time to discuss your trip and ideas. I provide my Semi World Famous Island Write Pp which so many guests state how much help it was. My intentions are to make sure that if someone comes and stays in my home they have more than expected and all the assistance possible to make their trip excellent

Don't miss this opportunity

Monk was great to work with from the very beginning of our plans right on to the end of our stay. He is very timely in responding too answering any questions and as helpful during the stay. The information he's personally put together should not be missed.

The condo is well kept and stocked with all of your daily needs. The location of the condo could not be better as it's in a central location to all of the great things to do on the island.

I would highly recommend Monks condo and we would return to his home on our next visit.

Kauai Beach Villas, Wyndham Resort and the Kauai Beach Hotel (formerly Hilton) are one of the most exclusive and secluded Oceanfront resorts on the island. The hotel charges to use their facilities.

There is a small beach and ocean view when Wyndham trims the trees and bushes properly. They were trimmed on 2/27/14 and it is there as of this date.

A COUPLE MEDICAL WARNINGS and Noise from Chickens and Dirt Bikes at the beach:

1. TROPICAL ISLAND Microbial's including MOLD and MILDEW exists for all property within 2000 feet of the ocean. It is nature. My condo is one of the very few that is treated for this monthly. I bought the machine to do it for my own health. It likely has least possible. t. But for Scammer's who rent for a week or two and then after a day complain and take 2 - 3 days to go to a different property where they do the same and demand a full refund to get few 3 - 4 free days at different properties do not bother here, your warned. I have been through it and learned about the scam. But AS A HEALTH WARNING to ANYONE WHO IS SENSITIVE OR HAS ALLERGIES TO MICROBIAL'S they SHOULD NOT RENT AT OCEANFRONT PROPERTIES and likely not vacation in tropical climates, Hawaii, Caribbean or others where it is everywhere in the rental cars, restaurants, properties and more.

2. WEST NILE VIRUS and DENGUE FEVER that causes an infection that is spread by certain kinds of mosquitoes exists on the islands. I recommended always going out with repellent on.

3. CHICKENS: For those who do not know this!!!! Kauai has tens of thousands of chickens and roosters all over the island,!!! This happened from the last hurricane years ago that scattered them everywhere. They make noise, often in the morning & are a great alarm clock so you do not miss the fantastic sunrises. There is nothing that can be done to reduce or eliminate them, it is part of the island experience. The chickens are birds and protected by law & are all over the island. So if you do not like that noise choose a different island. On the other hand every store has great Kauai chicken souvenirs.

4. I like to be honest with every one and there is the Motocross race track at the end of the golf course than can make noise on weekends. The race track rack hours are Saturday, Sunday, and Holidays from 10am to 6pm and the race schedule can be seen. Many guests have wondered over there and watched racing. But it can be noisy and it is only fair you know about it. Labor day weekend they hold two days of racing and a banquet.

The resort is a half mile of the main road and 5 minutes from the airport and directly on a 3 mile long secluded beach that runs along the golf course.

Yet it is the most centrally located resort on the island 5 - 10 minutes to either end of Lihue or Kapaa and half way either direction North or South to Poipu and Princeville.

The resort landscaping is beautiful and there are ponds, waterfalls, fountains, geese, ducks and foliage to enjoy.

My condo is only 5 minutes from the airport on the two lane highway making for a very easy, fast arrival and departure. No long drives to the North or South after a long tiring trip. For your departing flight you do not have to leave the North or South side 4 or 5 hours before your flight to make sure there are no traffic jams or accidents that cause you to miss your flight.

This is Kauai's best major resort and they located it at the best central location to see all of the island easily. It is in the middle of the east side and halfway between Princeville and Poipu. It is 5 minutes from Walmart at the beginning of Lihue and 10 minutes from the other end with Costco and Macy's and 10 minutes from Kapaa' the best grocery shopping on the island.

You are a 3 minute drive to the golf course entrance, 5 minutes to Lydgate Park and 5 minutes to the Wailua river.

Cinemas are in Lihue and Kapaa 10 minutes away in either direction.

Late Check out: Because many flights leave at night this comes up all the time. it is a full 1 nights rent the same as if you checked out the next morning. Holiday Rate for December 15 to January 10 is $30 a night higher.
Cancellation and Date Changes: No charge before 90 days or 12.85 weeks, $145 per change after. Cancellation 12.85 weeks: 10 -12 1 night, 8-10 2 nights, 6 -8 3 nights, 5 weeks 4 nights, 4 weeks 5 nights or 50% of the rental which ever is higher. Less than 4 weeks no cancellations. I try to be fair and if I am able to fill the cancelled space than the charge is $290 and the balance is refunded.

There is a mirrored medicine cabinet. A hair dryer. First aid kit. Sewing kit. Shampoos, conditioner, body gel, anti bacterial hand soap and lots of toilet paper and facial tissue.

The property is secluded and beautifully landscaped. The condo pool, jacuzzi and tennis courts are free. The Hotel has amenities can be paid for, $20 for pools a day, $10 for Gym a day and restaurant and bar. The famous Wailua public golf course is next door.
