About Tony and Birgit DiBartolo

Our family moved to Asheville a year ago full time when Tony retired from the restaurant business. Four years ago, we purchased a cabin in NE Asheville so that we could have a place to visit and bring our dogs. We knew that we would have to rent it as a short term rental to be able to afford to have it. It's has been so successful that since then, we have purchased 4 more vacation rental properties and now devote our time to renting and maintaining those properties. We enjoy the communication with travelers and being able to provide a great place to stay in Asheville that's pet friendly, convenient and reasonably priced. It's important to us that our guests know that we do everything we can to make their vacation memorable. After all, we want you to keep coming back!

Why Tony and Birgit DiBartolo chose Leicester

We fell in love with the property before we even entered the house. We think the grounds are amazing and peaceful. That the house was so rustic and charming was a bonus.

What makes this cabin unique

The previous owner recognized the uniqueness of the property and went to lengths to maximize the appeal of the grounds with a waterwheel and small waterfall. We built a firepit/gathering area near the water features and have created an outdoor space that is beautiful and peaceful. The custom built log cabin (built in the 70's) feels like it was built in the early 1900's and has so much rustic charm.

PERFECT for Family and/or Friend Getaways

  • 5 of 5

We had such a great time staying at this charming cabin! We, along with two other adult couples, spent 4 nights here and it exceeded all of our expectations. There was plenty of room for all of us to spread out throughout the house, but also be together when we wanted to be. My husband and I stayed in the Master Bedroom, but each couple said the beds were comfortable. It was also nice having 2 full bathrooms, which made getting ready in the mornings much easier for all of us. One area where we spent a lot of time was the game room and playing ping pong and shuffleboard. We loved that Downtown Asheville was only 10-15 minutes away and getting to and from was easy as a couple of turns. We also loved meeting the neighbor, Wayne, who had a 7 week old fawn following him around in the yard one day (we actually got to pet her) and a raccoon following him the next. Because it rained every day we were there, we were unable to take advantage of the fire pit area (which was a disappointment because that area was gorgeous and we looked forward to spending an evening out there). Before we all left, we all said that this cabin is perfect for families or friends because there is something for all ages to do at all times. Overall, Tony and Birgit have an amazing property and we would absolutely stay here again the next time we travel to Asheville.

Great property, owners easy to work with!

  • 5 of 5

Property is in a convenient location to downtown Asheville but offers a rustic and private feel. It came stocked with the simpler necessities like paper towels, soap, toilet paper and trash bags which were much appreciated. The game room and fire pit (stocked with firewood) were a great hit with everyone. We would rent again! The owners checked in with us after our arrival to make sure we were happy and were very responsive to our communications.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed it The grandkids especially loved seeing Wayne with his three week old baby deer and raccoon, all named ”Judy”! We were close to everything in Asheville for our very first visit there. Wished we could have stay longer ! ❤️🇺?🇸?🗽?

Delightful cabin.

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time at Dix Creek Cabin. It is well appointed and comfortable. Exactly as described. Take a sweater (even in summer) as the game room i.e. basement is cold. Definitely took advantage of its proximity to Asheville. Went downtown every day. We invited the neighbor to have coffee on the porch with us several days while we were there and he brought with him a fawn and baby raccoon. We were enchanted. Definitely a memorable trip.

Rustic retreat

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time here. The stream with the waterwheel was lovely. We had bonfires and the setting is great. just bring bug spray as you are in the woods. The house is comfortable and had everything you could need. We had a ball in the game room!! We played everything. Was nice to have the run for the dog. We could let them out at night without having to go for a walk, and they had bags right there for you, so clean up is easy. It is not to far into town and the Biltmore. We went to 6 breweries!! Fun. Love Ashville and it is priced for any budget. You will enjoy if you stay here.
