Nestled right on an ocean cliff just off California's beautiful Highway 1 Stand on the deck as low tide reveals the rocks where abalone abound. Crashing of the surf is always on hand and steps down to the ocean are located just across the driveway. Whales may be seen during their annual migrations, and sea lions reside on two small islands just up the coast. Cabin 5 is rustic and cozy. All rooms but one are built from redwood, and the home is completely furnished with bedding and linens, and including fireplace, forced air heating, free internet access, and DirectTV . Both bedrooms have wonderful white water views. The kitchen is small but functional with coffee maker, coffee grinder, stove, oven, toaster, refrigerator and microwave. The home is located two miles north of the small town of Gualala which has galleries, restaurants, gym, bookstore, and several spas. Five miles to the south is the eighteen hole Sea Ranch Golf Course. Other activities include kayaking on the Gualala River estuary or visiting the historic Point Arena Lighthouse located just ten miles to the north. Cap off your day by sitting on the deck with a glass of wine while watching the sun go down.

An amazing place to relax and enjoy the beautiful views!
It is really impossible to describe how beautiful and peaceful this cabin is. We stayed over the Thanksgiving weekend and pulled of a full turkey Thanksgiving dinner for four in the well stocked kitchen. Richard & Shelly could not have been nicer or more accommodating. We had two days of pouring rain but with the spectacular view we hardly noticed.
Warm and cozy with character. The ocean sounds and scent right outside. White water views from every room. Amazing!
Everything it was advertised to be!!
We had a great weekend at Cabin 5. The view from the back deck was amazing. We loved the cozy cabin and should have stayed a few days longer!
What A View!
Fantastic location perched above Pacific. Deck great for whale watching and wine drinking!
Interior lighting could be improved, especially in Living Room area.
Stunning location, cozy cabin
My husband and I rented this cabin for a long weekend to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. Honestly, the photos don't do it justice. Due to its location on the bluff it has 270 degree ocean views. Reading outside on the deck, listening to the ocean, setting up a bonfire at night, steaming in the sauna... everything was perfect. The cabin was well decorated, clean, and with a well-stocked kitchen (though maybe bring your own knives if you're planning on doing serious cooking). We had no reason to leave the entire time we were there, and we'll definitely be back again.
