About Tom Albert

My wife Karen and I just celebrated 28 years of marriage. We live in Cashiers North Carolina on Lake Glenville. I am a chimney sweep and own Cashiers Chimney Professionals. We have been in business here for 30 years.

Tom Albert purchased this house in 2004

Why Tom Albert chose Twinbrook

We were not looking for a rentail property, but our friend Paul Heathman with Dream Reality show us the property and we saw the potentail and feel in love with it. Ofcourse we did a lot of work to the house, new kitchen, added the deck and hot tub, removed the carpit and finnished the hardwood floors. Painted inside and out. This year we totally renovated the 2 downstairs bathrooms and added a 1/2 bath to the upstairs loft. FUN!

What makes this house unique

A couple of unique benefits that stand out. The rushing creek is awesome. It is a stocked creek with trout. The large deck overlooking the creek with the hot tub. Being able to walk to the town of Maggie is nice. Being close to Cattaloochee is a bonus, and the easy drive in and out is also nice.

Girl's Trip 2017

  • 5 of 5

Absolutely LOVED our stay at Nature's Bounty in Maggie Valley! This makes our ninth (or maybe tenth?) girl's trip to this cabin. It's in a great location with a beautiful creek running behind it. Great yard for playing cornhole!! The cabin is very comfortable and the owners, Tom and Karen, are great people. It is located between Cherokee and Waynesville, and close enough to Asheville to go to the Biltmore or shopping for the day. We opted to canoe the French Broad River and hike the Graveyard Fields trail...perfect opportunity to do some driving on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Although we just wrapped our annual trip, we can't wait for our next trip!

Loved our stay

  • 5 of 5

Set on a rushing creek you can listen to rushing water from the large screened porch, which is fully furnished for a family to relax on.

Positives: Very clean.

Off the beaten track -- at the back of the property a few hundred feed from the highway.

If you are looking for relaxation this is the spot.

Pet friendly, but you'd never know any pets have been there.

Large yard for walking pets.

The directions were clear, and easy to find.

We would return.

Negatives: After a long drive, and ready to go to bed all of us found the beds weren't made -- could be unfair for mom with rooms of children who is ready for her own R&R.

Upon checkout you are expected to take to trash out to curb sided, and strip all the beds, and gather towels and place in the kitchen.

We found the spa to be unusable do to the extremely high chlorine content -- we could smell the chlorine from the edge of the property.

Romantic Beautiful Hideaway

  • 5 of 5

Nature's Bounty is a beautiful scenic getaway with all the amenities of home. It was so cozy, on a quiet little street, and the creek that ran along the property was just an added bonus! We would definitely be open to renting it again.

Nature's Bounty never disappoints.

  • 5 of 5

From the time we arrived at this quiet, peaceful retreat, we felt at home. It has been updated since our last visit, granite counter tops, large dropped sink, all new furniture. Two and half modern full baths with stone walk in showers, with bowl sinks on beautiful wood consoles.Beds are so comfortable. My 17 year old granddaughter especially enjoyed the loft, all to herself. It is actually a suite, with queen bed, glider and half bath on one side of stairwell and comfy sofa, loveseat and bookcase stocked with books and a TV and stereo. If you need it, there is also wifi. I can't imagine why anyone would prefer staying inside when you can enjoy the well maintained yard and Jonathan Creek. Our 16 year old grandson caught a 10" trout on our third day there, but we took pictures and released back to the creek. This rental is the best deal in Maggie Valley! The tiny one bedroom cabins across the road are $114. You will be so disappointed if you don't rent Nature's Bounty. We cooked breakfast and grilled on the gas grill, but also enjoyed Pop's Diner for breakfast on our last day. It was beyond good food,, small, seats 40, Pops does the cooking and sings while he does it, then comes out to ask if we enjoyed it. Antique shops within a mile drive. Gift shops, great burgers and hand made malts and fudge within walking distance. Only regret we had was having to leave. :) Karen and Tom provided everything you could possible need. High quality pots and pans and kitchen utensils and softest bed linens. Our grandson enjoyed the hot tub. The fire pit is amazing, cooked hotdogs and toasted marshmallow and took long walks in this friendly community.. This was an amazing week enjoying our grands. They were outside enjoying the creek and yard 85% of the time. And an added blessing mas Nelly. A sweet, beautiful border collie who belongs to permanent residents across the creek. Nelly joined us as we fished from the covered bridge, then trotted right back home. Thanks Tom and Karen for allowing us to enjoy your wonderful retreat. God bless. See you in December. Relaxing by the creek

  • 5 of 5

My daughter and I spent our vacation in this lovely cabin by the sounds of the creek. The cabin was spacious and furnished with all we needed. Our dogs enjoyed playing in the cool creek water. Nice big yard and very private but close to all the stores and restaurants we needed. Hope to go back again.

Beautiful peaceful Getaway

  • 4 of 5

We had a fabulous time at Nature's Bounty. The Cabin was even more beautiful than the pictures online showed. We especially loved The creek that runs right through the property and the fabulous screened patio. The beds were extremely comfortable and the kitchen was very well equipped. It was easy to find and conveniently located. The Cabin was spotlessly clean and well decorated.

I only gave a four star rating because the hot tub was broken for the entire time we were there. Tom was great though and made every effort to have it repaired.
