About the Property

Comfortable, cozy, historic inn in the middle of downtown Asheville

For budget travelers who want to be in the middle of Asheville's vibrant downtown! No frills and not a fancy B&B: it's a clean, quiet, convenient location. Asheville is outside your door at this historic 105-year-old historic inn. A place with charm, character and friendly residents. This is a private, first-floor room with queen bed, desk and chair, fridge, wifi, high ceilings, south facing window. The room has a fridge, microwave, ceiling fan, air conditioning, wood floors. Bathrooms are SHARED, and are cleaned daily.

Next to the private room, you have two baths on the floor, and three more on the other floors. The kitchen and laundry are available all day. There is a front porch and a balcony for nice weather days.

Kathleen (manager) is available days. We'll check you in after 3pm (by appointment) and leave you alone the rest of the time. If you will be arriving late, let us know so we can make sure to be there. We are not on-site full time, so good timing and communication are essential. Please try to be on time, and let us know if there are delays.

Asheville is a fun place. There is something here for everyone. We are on the southern edge of the downtown district. Walk up the street for great restaurants, music, breweries, or history. Get out into the countryside for hiking, skiing, ziplining, rafting, or just touring the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Walk to downtown shops and entertainment spots. Public transit bus stops are nearby, going north and south. Asheville's main bus depot is 4 city blocks to the west. Parking is difficult, but there is pay parking next door and free parking on the street after 6:00 pm. There are two public parking garages close by on Biltmore Ave.
