We really enjoyed staying at this property. The shower was exceptional. Everything we needed was there. A gas station was fairly close and offered fresh bakery items for breakfast. This was the quiet part of the park which we appreciated. It was a fairly easy walk to downtown. Would rent here again.
The Farm House was very quaint and perfect place to relax after a long day of hiking.
The house was very clean and had all the amenities you would need. Had a great shower and the washer/dryer was a great plus.
Exactly what we wanted!!
The property was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed!
a quaint little place
A 2 room former barnlike structure with a spacious bath and full kitchen. Nice sitting area with tv. Not much privacy for groups greater than 2. No door between bedroom and other areas. Very nice! Clean.
Quaint cottage close to town
Farmhouse was very clean! Washer and dryer a nice bonus! Full cable package with excellent wifi. Walk to town, easy access to Acadia. Convenient to gas station and supermarket. Excellent water pressure in shower. Overall, very happy with our stay!
Great location, close to downtown
Second year in a row that we have stayed here. It is perfect for walking to downtown Southwest harbor and is close to many trails in Acadia. It is comfortable for two, with just about everything you could need. Nice to have a washer and dryer in the unit and wifi. There is not much of a view and the business out front blocks the drive a little but not really a problem. A female deer and her fawn came by every evening.
Southwest Harbor is located on the affectionately labeled 'Quietside' of Mount Desert Island. A quaint village surrounded by Acadia National Park and some of the most beautiful hiking trails, coves, and valleys for exploring. There is a little something for everyone: tennis, golf, boating, ferries to the outer islands, varied summer camps for children, museums, and antique shops for exploring. A variety of restaurants suited for your taste whether you are looking for a fine dining experience or a family night out - all within walking distance.
