Aran Heritage Centre vacation rentals

Our stay was lovely, and our accommodations were wonderful. This home is truly a magical place to unwind. And so much to explore and visit nearby. We chartered a private boat trip of the Cliffs and Moher and a visit to Inisheer, one of our favorite experiences while in Doolin. I cannot say enough good things about our host family. Sally was welcoming and quite helpful with many items and information. We could have stayed many more days.

Our adult children joined us in a tour of Ireland and this site is the best place we stayed! Very comfortable and roomy with very helpful hosts, knowledgeable about the area and full of good tips about the best way to see local attractions. They were very responsive to anything we needed- highly recommended!!

Everything was as advertised. Very responsive and communicative host. Everything is walkable in this quiet little resort town. Word to wise, most of the places less the pubs are mostly “guests only” including the adjacent hotel where we checked in. Also there is no grocery or convenience store so come prepared. The house was great and had easy hook up to Netflix for the ladies to watch their chick flicks while we walked to the pubs.

We had the BEST stay at Clare Rose Cottage! After multiple 2-night stays all over Ireland we were so excited to settle in for this 4-night stay, to wrap up our trip. And it didn’t disappoint! This cottage has every amenity, not to mention lovely flower gardens in front / back yards. And off in the distance (the HUGE pic window in sunroom addition is amazing) there are views of the ocean / Cliffs of Moher. And I know I should NOT say this … we came to a foreign country to experience new things (!) … but the comforts of home that our other 4 vrbo’s didn’t have on this trip were a delight. Top sheets, wash cloths, a drip coffee maker, giant fridge & showers, smart TV’s, and (my fave) a SEPARATE washer & dryer … Clare Rose cottage had it all. (Kitchen and baths all recently renovated.) Cottage is close to Doolin & Lisdoonvarna both, for pubs, music, groceries etc … and we did easy day trips to Galway, the Cliffs of Moher, and the Burren. Also I can’t stress enough … check out Ballinalacken Castle too if you stay here. It wasn’t even noted in my guidebook, but it’s literally 5 min away. Next to the teeny 15-room 1930’s-built hotel is a very cool ruin / watch-tower from the 1600s that you can tour w/ the owners … not to mention the Michelin-starred meal we enjoyed in the tiny restaurant, post tour. Very cool, esp after we’d been turned off by the HORDES at Cliffs of Moher that morning 🙁 Mary was amazing to work with too - very responsive. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed our stay at this cute cottage with an amazing view of The Twelve Pins. A great location to explore the beauty of Connemara.

We enjoyed our stay and loved the location. Exacty as it looks and is described in the listing. We just wish we had a little bit better wearher while there but what can you do about that :-).
