  • Had a great time.

"The question is would I stay there again and the answer is resoundingly yes. The location for the peak 8 lifts is one bus stop away, which is about 100 feet from the apartment, and there is a regular bus service that will also take you into town. For us sea level folk the walk up to the lift was a bit challenging (hence why we took the bus) but the walk back (downhill) took about 10 minutes. There is one note of caution for light sleepers, the pipes for the baseboard heating do make a lot of noise as they heat up (easy solution, turn the heat down at night) and you can hear people walking in the apartment above, again did not bother me. As a note to Steve, the first night we arrived the upstairs tenant (Jason) decided to sand his floors at 3:30 am, I had a word with him and he was most apologetic, he did not realize that we were staying in your apartment for the week so I would suggest that there be some kind of notice to the tenants that it is not vacant. Again thanks for making your home available to myself and my son."

  • We loved your home

"This home came equipped with everything you could possibly need to host a party or rest and relax. The indoor hot tub was wonderful, the second fridge and microwave down stairs were both handy, and the proximity to the shuttle bus to town were just perfect. The layout of the house with all the bedrooms was well planned - no one was tripping over each other and the house was surprisingly quiet. We enjoyed watching for the fox, who obliged on 3 days. We used two of the bikes in the garage and had a nice ride around town. Most impressive was the flexibility of our hostess who changed our reservation for us not once, but twice. Thank you so very much. YOur kindness has been much appreciated."

  • Perfect for Large Families!

"We really enjoyed our stay at Alpenhaus! There was plenty of room for our big extended family to relax after a day of skiing. The house was very clean and very well stocked. My bed was really comfortable. Maggie greeted us and gave us a few hints to make our stay even better. I would definitely recommend this house to my family and friends. Thanks for everything Maggie and Bob!"

  • Very comfortable condo within walking distance of the lifts

"We have stayed here for three years during the ski season and thoroughly enjoyed the condo and the location. The condo is well appointed with a nice gas fireplace which makes evening's watching TV or reading very enjoyable. The condo is warm and has all the ammenities you would want. The kitchen has all the necessary pots, pans, and utensils if you wish to prepare your meals, If you choose to go out all of the Breckenridge restaurants in the town are within a very enjoyable walk. The views of Peak 9 and 8 are great to have in the morning as the sun hits the peaks or at night watching the lights of the groomers moving down the mountain. The base of Peak 9 and the Quicksilver lift is a short walk from the condo, or if you wish the free bus stop is across the street and will take you to the base of Peak 9 or the Gondola. The master bedroom is very spacious with a king size bed and a Murphy bed. Both bedrooms are downstairs and makes it nice as the beds are away from the living area. There is an indoor heated garage as well as ski and equipment locked closet in the garage to keep the skis and equipment from getting in the way. Also nice to not have to scrape the windshield and get into a car that isn't freezing cold. Working with Marcy (owner) was also one of the highlights, she was alway prompted in getting back to us as we scheduled our time and made sure our stay was enjoyable. We loved our stay and have many fond memories of our time in the condo. We highly recommend this for a couple or family to enjoy Breckenridge ...."
