The kitchen and bathrooms were recently remodeled with updated cabinets, tile floors and new appliances. There are new carpets throughout the house and new furniture in the family room. Two bedrooms have private baths and two bedrooms share one bath.
The house is situated on a lot with large trees, a great sled run in the backyard and access to a trail leading to the Paige Meadows trail complex for summer hiking, winter Nordic skiing, and snowshoeing just three blocks away. It is within twenty minutes of three major downhill ski resorts(Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows and Homewood) and two groomed Nordic ski areas. It is also located less than three blocks from an entrance to a very extensive wilderness Nordic ski area. The walk to Tahoe City is along a paved bike path that circles much of Lake Tahoe. We are one mile from Kilner Park which has tennis courts and children's play equipment. When you walk into this cabin first thing you notice is how well maintained this cabin is. And its big !!! The view is filtered but still beautiful. What do you expect it the forest. I have stayed here in the summer and the winter. Both seasons are fantastic. For the size, comfort, and easy walk to Tahoe city you cant beat this place. Also when its snowing they have a nice hill for playing on snow toys. Weeeee !!!!!

Just returned from a wonderful summer week in this great Tahoe home! It was very comfortable with a updated, well-stocked kitchen and great table for large family meals. There were 6 of us from 3 families, so having 3 bathrooms was a plus. The location is ideal, nestled in the woods with a view of the lake, plus it is nearby to great hiking, biking, and boating. The owners were very thoughtful in terms of leaving the home well stocked with basics, and they were very helpful in terms of answering any questions beforehand. I would be very happy to return to this lovely home. I recommend it highly!!

Our family loves this house in Lake Tahoe. We have stayed here several times, both in the winter (it's close to several ski areas) and summer (when we enjoy biking and boating). The house has an updated kitchen, plus outdoor gas grill, for making meals. And there are plenty of nearby restaurants, when you don't feel like cooking. There is cable TV and a high-speed internet connection. There are plenty of bedrooms for extended-family gatherings. Whatever the season, you will have a great time at this Tahoe house!

We've being staying at this beautiful and bright home at least 4-5 weekends a year for many years, easily accommodating groups of friends and their children travelling with us. This is by far our most favorite place to stay in Tahoe. It is very comfortable, child friendly, with a great large kitchen and dining area, roomy bathrooms, very cozy fire place for the winter and large deck and BBQ with views of the lake in the summer. The tasteful decoration makes this house feel like a home rather than a rental place. The location is great as it's a short hop to Tahoe City, Lake Tahoe, and a short drive to Squaw Valley and many other ski areas. We highly recommend this beautiful home. If you stay there make sure you visit the Dam Café located within minutes for their great coffee and breakfast sandwiches.
