Why the Owner Chose Belltown

We live about 30 minutes South of Seattle, and much of Sally's work is in the city. So when we are able to/want to we get to stay in the heart of downtown Seattle, near all the wonderful restaurants (we're big foodie's). When we aren't using it, we make it availble to you, our guests so you can enjoy all that Seattle has to offer, with rarely needing a car!

The Unique Benefits at this Condo

The best part about our condo is the location, and the awesome view. Take a walk to the elevator, go downstairs and have breakfast at world class Macrina Bakery. It's been voted the Best Bakery in all of Seattle by King 5's Best of Western Washington multiple years. Then take a walk just 10 minutes south and you are at Pike Place Market. Buy some flowers, watch the fish merchants, and buy a cup of coffee from the first Starbucks location. After a day of sight seeing relax in the hot tub or pool, or sit and watch the Large LCD TV and enjoy the view from the big bay window.

Owner's Map of Belltown

Sally and I love to stay in Downtown Seattle at our condo. One of our favorite things to do is walk to the Pike Place Market, enjoy the local artisans, and have the World Famous Donuts right around the corner from the Flying Fish! Sally's work is mostly in the city, where as mine is near our house in Kent. We purchased the condo so we can enjoy all the sights and sounds of Seattle, without having the commute. The building is great, with amazing amenities and is within walking distance to almost everything in Downtown Seattle. We hope you enjoy your stay as much as we do!

Beautiful condo, great location. Clean and well-maintained. Views of the sound out the front window. Within walking distance of ferrys, Pikes Place and downtown Seattle. Wonderful restaurants on first level. Start your day at Macrina Bakery and end it at La Vita e Bella. We would definitely stay here again.

Great Place

Spent a week in October and felt right at home. Owner met us our first day and had many good recommendations, especially Obelisco winery. Macrina Bakery right downstairs could prove fatal over a long time frame. Great location, Nice view of Puget Sound. Had issue with the cable box that was resolved right away. All in all a great place and nice hosts. Can't wait to return.

Staying here is so cool! My wife and I recently stayed at this condo, it has everything; great bed, great location, great kitchen. The gym and pool area are seldom used so it is like having your own pool, sauna and gym. We make a yearly trip to Seatlle and most certainly will be staying here again.

Birthday Weekend in the City

Guest: Celeste K-Meurlott (CDA, Idaho)
Date of Stay: 10/08/10 Review Submitted: 10/18/10

Spending time in the city was a great way to spend my birthday. Shopping, fine dining, sight seeing, and people watching were on my list of activities. The Urban Oasis condo was ideal for all the things I wanted to do to celebrate. It was the perfect location to easily walk to everything and had all the comforts of home. I especially appreciated the personal greeter that pointed us to convenient parking and gave us tour of the property when we arrived. Communication with host gave us all the information we needed to fully enjoy our stay. I would suggest these accommodations over a hotel any day.

Baseball stay

Guest: Red Sox Fans (Medcine Hat Alberta Canada)
Date of Stay: 09/11/10 Review Submitted: 09/22/10

My wife and I just stayed this property to see teh Boston Red Sox when they were in town. From the greeting to the end of the stay the owners and the property were above our expectations. The location had great access to the water front, along with the shopping district, eateries and the sports facilities. We have never tried this type of stay before, this property was above our expectations and would recommend this property to anyone looking to stay in this area. The owners were very helpfull and made us feel like we were staying in our own home. Look forwrad to staying again in the future, thanks again.

Owner response:Thanks for staying with us and taking advantage of our great location. Many guest use our great location to go to Soccer, Baseball and Football games as we are just over a mile from the Stadiums. Please do come back, but next time can the Mariners win at least one game in the Series? Until next time... Darik and Sally

We had a GREAT Time!

Guest: Susie (Eagle Mountain Utah)
Date of Stay: 05/31/10 Review Submitted: 08/10/10

We loved the condo and the location! Very clean and updated with a TV for the kids and a TV for us :) We loved the main bedroom and the decor! We walked to Pike Market and bought a ton of fresh seafood and cooked it in the kitchen! We loved the pizza place just below us. Bell Town has fantastic places to dine and we stayed around the area to eat every night of our stay! Cyclopes was a hoot and the kids had amazing appetizers and bought a cute T-shirt while we sampled the local beers. We would recommend this condo over any other hotel in the city! We loved the pool and hot tub and the complex was very quiet. Cant miss a deal like this one!! Darik and Sally communicated with us gave us great directions and we had some of the staff there to met and greet us and help take up our luggage. We would stay in this place again!!

Owner response:Susie -- I'm glad you had a great time. We are lucky with all the fantastic restaurants in the area. Let us know next time you are in town, we'd love to have you again! Darik & Sally The Urban Oasis "Redefining Accommodations"

Urban Oasis Utopia

Guest: T (Wyomissing, PA USA)
Date of Stay: 06/26/10 Review Submitted: 08/04/10

If you're looking for a great location to explore Seattle and the surrounding area, have the comforts of home, and be able to relax and enjoy time away, then Urban Oasis (in Bell Court Condos) is the perfect place for you. You can walk to nearly all the area attractions; Pike Place Market (which we frequented often to buy fresh foods, then came back to the condo to cook, where we had everything we needed, even a grill on the rooftop patio overlooking Elliot Bay), Seattle Center, the Space Needle, Experience Music Project, the Aquarium, etc. There are tons of wonderful restuarants and eateries close by (I would recommend Marcina Bakery to anyone). One of the best features, is that you wouldn't even need a car. You can take the Light Rail directly from the airport and arrive at Westlake Center which is only a few short blocks from the condo. Bus stops are close and it's in the free zone. Derek and Sally ensured that we gained access to the condo upon our arrival, which was in the evening. If you do have a car, there is a secure lot to park below the building. People were friendly, weather was great, and we thoroughly enjoyed our weeklong stay. Thanks for a terrific place to spend our vacation!

Owner response:Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm glad you had a great stay. Please let us know next time you or any of your friends or family come to Seattle! Darik & Sally The Urban Oasis "Redefining Accommodations"

Guest: Norm and Linda Miller (Peoria, AZ)
Date of Stay: 08/16/09 Review Submitted: 08/16/09

We had a great seven day stay in Seattle - our first time there. The Urban Oasis is a nice first place to stay in Seattle as your are downtown close to everything and you have nice views of all of the passing boats (and parasailors) in Elliott Bay. Sally and Darik have appointed the condo very nicely - kitchen is well stocked (martini glasses ,wine glasses and martini shaker were perfect), plenty of hangars in the closet, linens, etc. It is also nice to have a secure Internet connection. Parking spaces in secure underground parking are narrow, so do not bring a large car. We enjoyed the convenience and quality of Macrina's bakery and Belltown Pizza right outside the front door, plus a small corner market. After a long day of sightsseing it was nice to not dress up for dinner but to get a pizza (quite good)have our drinks and watch the sights on the water from the bay windows in the living room. We also recommend the 2.5 hour sunset sailboat cruise from Emerald Charters - it was our excursion highlight. If you are a light sleeper, you may find the lights and noise of being on a main downtown street to be problematic. We hope to get back to Seattle again in the future. Norm and Linda, Peoria, AZ

What a beautiful city! We couldn't have asked or planned a more comfortable, scenic & convenient location. As our 1st time using VRBO we were very impressed with the service and will use it again. We parked our car and didn't use it again until we left. The bus & ferry system was so easy to use. There is so much to see just in the free bus area zone alone. With a transfer ticket you can go the Chittenden Locks, the U. of Wash., Woodland Park, etc. We were especially pleased with the bakery below our condo. The calories were well worth it. We've never enjoyed breakfast so much! Darik & Sally were great hosts and made our 5 day stay very memorable & special. Thanks for everything. Len & Gail Millville, CA
