This beautiful log home is nothing short of FABULOUS! Sit on the expansive wraparound deck and enjoy the views from this Colorado Mountain log home. Located just outside Gypsum only minutes from the Vail airport, this home has it all.

This is hundreds of dollars a night less than similar Vail homes. If you don't mind a 20-30 minute drive, you can save lots of money and create wonderful memories with your family and friends.

Gypsum is about 120 miles west of Denver in the Colorado Mountains. Even though this location is quite private, it is within a five minute drive of a new state-of-the-art recreation center and a semi-private golf course. You are only a 20-30 minute drive to world class skiing at Beaver Creek or Vail. The world famous hot Spring pools in Glenwood Springs are also only a 30 minute drive. Aspen is just over an hour's drive away.

The great room dominates this home and allows for the entire group to gather together in one room. This home also contains three master suites (one on each level), a theatre room and a game room. We have a nice stock of family games to entertain you. Additionally there are two more bedrooms for a total of five bedrooms and a total of 5 1/2 baths. There is enough bedding to accommodate 16 people.

This home contains 4445 square feet of living space, an oversized garage and 1200 square feet of redwood deck. There is an additional porch on the lower level of 500 square feet.

Radiant in-floor heat (even in the garage) keeps the house warm in winter but you can also snuggle by the fireplace. A swamp cooler keeps it cool in the Summer.

Situated on 2 acres, you will feel completely relaxed on this property. Bring your ATV's as there is plenty of parking for your trailer and you can ride your four wheelers from this home up Cottonwood Pass for many days of exploring what this area has to offer.

  • Your property was perfect for our large family. There was plenty of room and privacy for everyone. We instantly felt at home. The kids loved the game room and we all enjoyed watching the deer from the deck. The hot tub was the perfect remedy for our sore muscles after long days of hiking. Thank you to Gerry and Krista for sharing your home with us and for being so accomodating. We would definitely recommend your property and hope to visit again in the future!

  • Great experience...Super Value!!! We felt so recharged after staying at the Teddy Bear Lodge. We enjoyed being nestled in the mountains surrounded by wildlife, and the breath taking views while enjoying all the conveniences of home. We have a large family and this was a perfect place for us to stay. The large Lodge had a master suite on each of the three levels plus the extra bedrooms and baths that allowed all to sleep comfortably and get ready with ease in the morning for the next days’ adventures. The Teddy Bear Lodge is a great location and a perfect place to stay no matter the season. We will definitely come again! We have found there are several activities close by from the famous Glenwood Springs swimming pool (open all year round), the Fairy Caves, to the Red Stone Castle in Marble, to even visiting the Vilar Center in Beaver Creek for a concert to River rafting and so much more. The large deck, (that included a BBQ and hot tub) that wraps around the home was also a hit. There was more than enough room, with the open kitchen and great room to the game room and media room that kept the children entertained when we were at the lodge. A complete laundry room was also a nice feature with active children. Each room was so nice and cozy we wished that we could have stayed longer and would definitely recommend it to anyone that would like to put the icing on their Colorado cake.
