'Owners editorial' When traveling to the ocean, my family always wanted to stay at a Beach Front unit. We always felt that if we're spending a lot of money to travel, why compromise and stay at a ocean view or garden view unit. Many advertise their units as Beach Front or Gulf Front. When investigating, you find that they are a garden view unit in a beach front complex or they have a partial beach view from one room or from the deck. This is a true Beach Front/ Gulf Front unit in every way.
We bought this unit because it is like the condos that we'd typically look for when shopping for a vacation rental. It has breath-taking views from the bedroom, living room and the deck (A stones throw to the gulf - I actually threw a stone from our deck to the water last trip - It's as close to the water and beach as you can get!!!).
Being a family with a limited budget, we understand trying to get the best value. We have decided to offer our unit for rent at prices similar to garden view units. Maybe my favorite place to be!!! New bar height chairs with back in 2014. Bar height chairs chosen so the view to the gulf is not hampered by the deck railing. New vinyl wicker bar height table with shelves to enjoy your favorite beverage from.
Wireless Internet Service is available at no charge. The modem is located in our unit for trouble free use.
All the Island activities and attractions are a walk, drive or shuttle away. The Island shuttle stops in front of the complex and can take you anywhere on the island for free.
This condo complex is located towards the north end of all the island development. There is a vacant lot directly north of our condo complex, Clayton's beach bar/restaurant north of that, then the LaQuinta/Hilton and then miles and miles of beach after that. Our condo is located in the North East corner adding to the privacy.

About the owner: We have been married for 30+ years and are blessed to have two wonderful healthy children. We worked together in a family owned business in Wisconsin until recently.
Why the Owner Chose The Tiki: We have friends who bought a condo at the Tiki in Spring of 2010. We went to visit in the Fall and purchased our condo in February 2011. We loved the location of this facility and condo. Being at the north end of the island, it offers privacy and less congestion on the beach. We love long walks on the beach and this location is perfect for that. The large deck, proximity to the beach and Gulf, and views from every room in the condo made it a perfect fit.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo: The view. The view and the view. You can't beat it anywhere. We have had people who have stayed on every floor of the Tiki say, 'We will not stay anywhere else, other than the 3rd floor/beachfront unit We just love it!' The cathedral ceilings also add to the openness which are only available on the 3rd floor units. The large deck with bar height chairs is a great place to be. Views from every room in the condo are breathtaking. Also, the condo has been totally remodeled with all new matching porcelain floor tile throughout, new cabinets and vanity with granite counters, most of the furniture and decorations are new, new appliances and all the items you'd want in the kitchen are new and supplied.
Do your homework. Make sure that the beach front listing is truly a beach front unit. Check into the size of the unit as well as the proximity to the Gulf. Our condo is 750 SF, a whooping 170 SF larger than other popular one bedroom units on SPI and is as close to the Gulf as you can get. The degree of the remodel is also a difference you will see. Not all condos are equal and this one has been said to be one of the best at the Tiki.
