Lazy Bear Lodge is a beautiful hand-built log cabin with heart pine floors and exposed beams. The year-round long range view is fantastic as the cabin sits at an elevation of nearly 3,300 feet. In addition, the cabin is located on nearly 5 acres adjacent to Pinnacle Park with easy access to great hiking trails.
The secluded outdoor area complete with a hot tub, fire pit, grill and picnic table is one of the highlights of our cabin. Many of our guests tell us they start the day with coffee on the porch rockers and end the day with s'mores at the fire pit. Some even tell us they never leave the property!
Lazy Bear Lodge is located just minutes from downtown Sylva, about 20 minutes from the Cherokee Casino and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and about 30 minutes from Ghost Town in the Sky, Cataloochee Ski Resort, and Maggie Valley.
The home has everything you need for a great holiday weekend or multi-week vacation including a well stocked kitchen (see our reviews!) and a huge farm table with seating for 12.
This cabin will consider 1 dog on a case to case basis. Pets must be pre-approved and tenant is required to sign the Pet Policies Addendum of our Vacation Rental Agreement. Additional $125, non refundable pet fee will apply.

My husband and I spent our honeymoon in Lazy Bear years ago and got to revisit the cabin for our anniversary in 2018. The place is very comfortable and feels just like home. It was a very nice place to start our lives together as husband and wife. Can't wait to come again!!
Loved this property!
We had a group of 4 and stayed in this cabin for 4 nights. It was perfect! It had everything we needed and was just as described. It was so pleasant to spend the mornings drinking coffee on the back porch watching the hummingbirds, then the day out hiking and exploring the area, only to return to cook dinner and relax our aching muscles in the hot tub. Our only wish was that we could have turned off the light above the hot tub to be able to enjoy the lightning bugs and stars more easily while sitting out there.
The beds were comfortable. It did get a little warm sleeping upstairs, but box fans were available and helped with that. The kitchen was well stocked with all the items necessary for cooking and basic spices. The house was well maintained. Be sure to grab your own laundry detergent if you want to do laundry. It was requested that we start the sheets in the washing machine before we departed, but we did find any detergent downstairs.
I would definitely stay here again!
Cabin had everything you could possibly want in a vacation rental!
What can I say- the view was beautiful from the deck, beds were comfortable, the shower was great and plenty of hot water, kitchen very well stocked and plenty of room to spread out relax. The driveway is a little hairy but they let you know that before you stay. We loved the fact that it is gated and not just anyone can venture up the mountain to reach you. Pinnacle Park is right in your backyard and Sylva has everything you need from groceries, shopping and gas and also easy to get to many tourist attractions. Loved this cabin and like the others have said- it is a hard place to share with others because you'd like to keep it your own little secret!
Thank you so much for the 5 Star Review! We are glad to hear that you had a great stay and hope you will return!

Gorgeous cabin with everything I wanted and expected. The hot tub was perfect and the views incredible! Will certainly consider staying here again!
