Hear the waves crash!!!
The property was nice, overall. Comfortable. A bit misleading, though. We needed and paid for a 2bdrm place. It was that but the 2nd room was not adjoining. There’s no access from the inside. We had to walk outside across the porch and gain access through the sliding glass door. It was a super tiny studio apartment. Though, it did have a decent a/c window unit. The beds were very comfy. The kitchen was well stocked with proper utensils, equipment & dinnerware. Nice gas stove & oven. Nice working toaster, coffeemaker and big cold refrigerator..The ocean is just across the highway and at night it is so serene to hear the waves crashing against the huge lava rock wall. I suggest earplugs though, for the light sleeper because the highway is just in front of the property and with the windows open it can be a bit too noisy. It can get a bit too warm for me so I often shut the windows and turned on the a/c unit. THAT is a Godsend. I so appreciated the garage full of beach equipment at our disposal. Chairs, snorkeling gear, umbrellas, beach towels. It was also so convenient to have access to a proper washer/dryer. Most of the activities we booked were quite a ways away from this property. We did a lot of driving to Lihue, Po’iipu beach, Hanalei and a few other beaches. Also, I strongly suggest checking in before it gets dark. It does get very dark there. At night it’s hard to drive slow enough on the highway to look for street addresses & visual aids the directions we’d printed
