Week of the 4th, 2025

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. This was our 3rd time at Sterling Reef. We did have a few issues: pans in unusable conditions, no oven mitts, 1 cereal bowl in a condo that can sleep up to 6, coffee grounds in the water reservoir, no scissors. All of this was resolved within 24 hours of our arrival so we greatly appreciate the prompt response. Our greatest complaint has to do with the master bedroom. There are no blackout curtains…or any curtains to even somewhat block out the early morning sunlight. But there are blackout curtains in the living room. In the end, that was the most difficult part of the trip. Our toddler was in the master with us and was up at 6am and couldn’t go to sleep until 8:30pm/9pm when the sun finally set. Luckily, we hung a blanket over the window in the second bedroom (where our older 2 slept) which made a nap possible. It was not the most restful vacation. We love the location and love Sterling Reef. However, given our specific circumstances, we likely would not book this specific unit again.

Overview

I've stayed at Sterling Reef many times before and it was great. It has now been several years since I have been there so I went on the internet to do it again. I always go there to Thunder Beach. Very good central location. Going with a different group now so needed different accommodations. The internet said this room had a King a Queen and a twin and a fold out couch. We are four old guys. It did not say or maybe I missed something that the queen and twin are bunkbeds. We are too old for a bunk. We worked it out but wish we had known before we got there. Also I did not get told of parking fees and wrist bands and limited parking for motorcycles until after I paid to secure the room with an email later. Never had those restrictions before. Thankfully Rachel found out about parking fees for motorcycles before we came. Did not have sheets for the fold out couch and Rachel took care of that problem quickly. We did enjoy our stay. Will probably do it again.

Great condo!

Room was clean and beds comfortable. We have stayed at Sterling Reef the past three summers - different condos but each time we have been very happy!

Great place. Those with disabilities beware

Great condo! Great views! Great accommodations! There looked as though some repairs had been started but not finished. There was some drywall patching in both bathrooms that still needed to be sanded down and painted. A lot of issues for those with disable people in their group. There are only 2 elevators. At certain time you could have to wait 30 minutes or more. Before I even booked I informed them about my daughter's service dog. When I got a call from their staff the day before our check in they seemed unaware of it. I was then emailed a paper to have my daughter's doctor fill out for the service dog asking for medical information which is illegal. Not only that but the email was sent at 2pm on Friday (the day before we were to check in). Not to mention the fact we were already in Tennessee. How the heck was I supposed to get the paper filled out? The last person I talked to stepped up and got things straighted out. According to the Americans with Disabilities Act, I don't even have to let them know I have a service dog ahead of time. But besides that the trip was great.

Family vacation

The Sterling Reef was a great place to stay. I enjoyed the pool and beach were not crowded. Our room was very nice, comfortable beds, and very quiet place to relax.

The condo was perfect size for us and three kids. Great balcony view, pleasant staff, and unit had everything you would need. We loved our stay and the price was perfect for our budget. The kids didn't want to leave, we will def book here again!

Comfortable with a view.

We have stayed in this room for 10+ years and other than a few maintenance issues, this room hasn't changed much over this time frame. The bed was very comfortable and had ample room for the two of us. We hope to be able to stay again next year.

not very happy with that it could’ve been cleaner.

The dishwasher ran water all over the floor and was broken we called to report it and no one came out. The toilet and the half bath did not work it would not fill out with water caught and reported it and no one came out to fix it so I rented a two bedroom two bath and did not have two bathrooms and cannot wash dishes except by hand not very happy with that it could’ve been cleaner.

Great View

The view was perfect. The condo was good, just needs some upgrades. The furniture inside looks good until you sit on it. Patio furniture is rusted. About busted my butt when I sat in one of the lounge chairs because it was completely rusted. But everything else was wonderful. I would stay again. I would defiantly recommend this condo. It's not like you are inside a lot. Everyone was pleasant. The location is perfect.

Wonderful Vacation!

We were very pleased with this property and definitely plan to rent it again! The unit was very clean and well organized. Check in and check out were a breeze! We checked out on a Sunday and the elevators were pretty slow that day, but every other day we had very little wait time. We ran into a slight issue when the handle on the toilet in one of the bathrooms broke, but I called the customer service number and someone from maintenance came up to fix it right away. I was very impressed with the lever of customer service we experienced. The pool was great and access to the beach was very easy. I would highly recommend this property to any family looking for a fun and relaxing beach vacation!

Objects falling from the Building.

While at the pool, I have witnessed objects being dropped from the upper floors. Is there some sort of notification to the tenants of the dangers or cameras to identify what room these objects are coming from? A water bottle fell from what appeared to be the 10 floor just less than two feet from striking the security on duty. A penny fell nearly striking me while at the pool. My son says a water gun was dropped while he was in the pool.

Photo’s do not do justice to the room. Outdated but very comfortable and clean. Wonderful A/C and microwave. We cooked in everyday and Publix delivers. Beds were very comfortable! It was great having a Representative on-site. Of all the places I have stayed in PCB this has been the most family friendly.
