About Chuck Rusch
We have been in the rental business for five years and enjoy sharing this beautiful area with others.
Chuck Rusch purchased this Cottage in 1989
Why Chuck Rusch chose Florence Township
Both my wife and I grew up in south eastern Minnesota and where very familiar with the area. When the time was right to purchase a vacation property we only looked in one area. The cottage is located in the Historic District of Old Frontenac. Nestled amongst the river bluffs you can’t help but relax as you enter this historic village that remains as cozy and quaint today as it was 150 years ago. Walk or bike through this beautiful setting and you will enjoy scenic views of Lake Pepin, historic homes and park like yards.

COZY COTTAGE - PERFECT FOR GIRLS WEEKEND
My girlfriends and I stayed here for 2 nights. The cottage was perfect for the 3 of us. We really enjoyed the cozy room leading out to the patio and the deck for sipping wine, catching up and listening to all the birds. The kitchen is very well stocked for cooking and had everything we needed for making meals. The cottage is in a very peaceful area and only a short distance between Lake City and Red Wing, where there are cute shops and great places to eat. We loved walking around the neighborhood and down to the Mississippi with the beautiful views. We would definitely stay here again.
We have rented this cottage for many years for our girls weekends! We love it!
Charming home in Old Frotenac
The home was charming and cozy, and the location was perfect! Having a well stocked kitchen and fireplace to come home to after exploring the area was a real plus. We loved being able to explore the town of Old Frontenac just by walking out the front door. Frontenac State Park right outside of Old Frontenac is a gem with great hiking and beautiful vistas. (Our only - minor -complaint was that the second floor Queen bed was not as comfortable as the one on the first floor.)
Quiet and relaxing
Quiet and clean, fall proved to be a beautiful time of year to stay. We didn't get to enjoy as much of the surrounding wilderness in our short stay as we would have liked, but we did have a relaxing getaway! A small note if it's important to your stay though, AT&T cell/internet service was unavailable in the immediate area for us.
Comfortable, homey and clean cabin in a great quiet location!
Chuck was awesome! He let us check in early so we could arrive in time to get our son a nap. The house is right between Red Wing and Lake City and is in an adorable and quiet neighborhood. The park across the street was great for playing and we spent a lot of time in both towns. The house is cute, clean and homey. A great place for a family to enjoy a few nights away, together!
