About Owner, Falling Waters
We are Bob and Lorna, and Brett's Falling Waters Cabin is family owned and managed. We live in Northern Virginia where Bob works for a government contractor and Lorna recently retired from a career in Information Technology. We love to visit Black Mountain and our little haven in the woods. Our staff, Lee and Holly, have cared for the cabin for more than 13 years and take great pride on making your stay enjoyable.
Owner, Falling Waters purchased this Cabin in 1990
Why Owner, Falling Waters chose Swannanoa
The cabin and surrounding property was purchased for our family vacations. The neighborhood includes a working sawmill and horse farm in the Bee Tree Valley, and you will also enjoy the waterfall and small mountain stream at the edge of the property. First offered for vacation rental by Brett (Lorna's father) in 2006, the property and amenities of the cabin are updated on an ongoing basis to ensure the comfort and enjoyment of our guests. Brett's Falling Waters Cabin is a perfect place for a weekend getaway. The waterfall can be viewed from the deck and hot tub, and the general tone of the property is quiet, relaxing comfort. The Cabin is just a quick drive from downtown Black Mountain and Asheville. Uber is also available. Enjoy the serenity of the mountains at this quaint little cabin.

Had a blast at this property. Easy to get to. Clean. Close to hiking and more. Secluded but not too secluded. Also, wow the sound of the waterfall was so calming. All in all. AMAZING
Rustic cabin. Loved hearing the waterfall as we slept. Thanks for letting us stay in your home!
Never wanted to leave!!
Beautiful property with everything you need for a relaxing getaway!!
Great anniversary trip!
We rented this property as a gift for our daughter and her husband, so that they could have a private anniversary getaway. When they arrived, my daughter texted, and I quote, "This place is just to die for. A perfect little patch of earth. Beautifully maintained and has everything you could want." Later she told me they had a wonderful time, very relaxing and restorative. Definitely one of the nicest places they have ever stayed. And the location is ideal. Only 20 minutes to Asheville and 5 minutes to Warren Wilson College, where they went hiking one day. I am so pleased with my choice. Sight unseen, I took a chance and our anniversary gift was a great hit! Thank you! My husband and I hope to stay there ourselves soon!
Event though it rained during our entire stay, we had a wonderful time. We spent a majority of our time camped out on the front porch with a book. The sound of the waterfall was so soothing. The location feels very remote but is actually pretty close to various stores and restaurants. We would definitely book again.
Sweet cabin surrounded by the sound of falling water! It feels remote but is not too far from town. The cabin itself has the charm of antique pine floors and walls but is equipped with washer, dryer, dishwasher, etc. The furnishings are simple, but we had everything we needed. I particularly appreciated the quality of the mattress and pillows. Between that and the water, we slept great!
