Third time staying at this awesome property, was just a wonderful setting for a family reunion, with comfortable beds for the 10 of us. House is very well cared for, immaculate, and very welcoming, and the kitchen had everything you could think of! Wonderful walks down to the shoreline, our dogs thought they were in heaven. First snow of the season, and the house was toasty warm and the fireplace was lovely! Thanks to the owners and property manager who keep this slice of history maintained and looking so good!
Thank you, Diane, for your lovely note and so glad that your family enjoyed your time at the Farmhouse. How fortunate to be there for the first snowfall! Bill & I love the quiet, just standing in the field and listening to those sounds that we often can't hear...bird calls, lobster boats on the coast...it is so peaceful. Hope you have you visit again next year.
We had such a nice time at this place! Such a beautiful sunrise from the back porch and the house was clean and well stocked with everything we needed! The barn was great for our yoga retreat’s needs. Would definitely recommend !
Thank you, Sydney, for your kind words and delighted that you and your group had a good visit. We also find it a wonderful balance of quiet and relaxing, as well as a starting point for many wonderful activities. Hope to have you as guests again.

Old Maine Charm
This house is veryy comfortable with Old Maine charm., nice porches, a deck with a beautiful view of the ocean across a Andrew Wyeth looking field with wild turkeys, Osprey, butterflies, and flowers. The bedrooms are small but the living areas downstairs are wonderful and spacious. The barn is HUGE, and is a great hangout space for teenagers.
Just what we hoped for,
Six outdoor painting friends, a few spouses and other family matters making a total of 10 had a most wonderful time staying at this roomy and comfortable old farmhouse for a week in July, painting or biking during the day then gathering around the table for dinner every evening . Everything about the place pleased me, from the great supply of dishes in the beautiful old pantry to the vast meadow through which a path in mown down to the rocks and water. The barn was the perfect place for us painters to be able to spread out our gear at the end of every day. The area abounds with places to paint from the village of Port Clyde, to the lighthouse, to Monhegan Island, to the property ‘s grounds and the farmhouse itself ! If I can get my painting gang to come again from Minnesota and elsewhere I would love to come again next summer.
Thank you so much for your review. You captured the feel of the house and property beautifully. I love the image of you all set up with your easels. Hope it works out for you to visit again.
We had a large family gathering here and it was the perfect size. The caretaker left us several cute flower arrangements in vintage farmhouse containers all around the house and even fresh strawberries from a local farm.
Thank you for your review and we're happy that you had an enjoyable time at the Farmhouse. There have been many family gatherings there over the years and we hope that you and your family will return again.

Tenant Harbor and Pt. Clyde areas are beautiful in scenic views and ocean/fishing activities. Ferry trips to the islands offer a different landscape and glimpse into island life. We love the quiet peaceful times on the farm , reading by the fire, playing games or sorting out puzzles, walks to the ocean and cookouts on the rocks.

About Maggie & Bill Lang
Bill's family purchased this home in 1959 with many summers spent enjoying the Maine coast, big family dinners, playing on the rocks and antiquing, all contributing to family memories. Our children have grown up spending parts of every summer here and we continue to enjoy coming in early summer for family reunions. Sitting on the back deck at the beginning & end of each day and long walks have become some of our favorite activities.
