The resort has 333 units, free in-room safe, air conditioning in bedroom only, please close the bedroom door, when using it, maid service, BBQ areas, restaurant/Bar, free hi-speed Internet and WI-FI access, coin-op laundry at the east end location. Kiahuna is popular with repeat visitors to the Island. They were grandfathered into being allowed to build right up to the ocean front. This resort has a 'Real Gem' rating
Kiahuna exudes a relaxed, old world, plantation feel.
The grounds are lush, well-groomed and mature. You’ll see ancient monkey-pod trees with huge bromeliads as well as lots of orchids. (Not to mention Kahuna trademark cactus and orchid garden.) Kiahuna is also blessed with being on a world-class beach, Kiahuna Beach. It’s backed by a huge lawn. In fact, the entire resort is paved with bountiful grass.

The Newly opened Poipu Beach Athletic Club is just across the road from Kiahuna Plantation. We are happy to say we have joined, allowing our guests full access to the pool, Hot Tub, tennis courts and Fitness Center.

Historic Koloa Town is just a few minutes away. Explore more of Kauai with a scenic drive West to Waimea, or East to Lihue, the Wailua River, Kapaa Town, and Hanalei on the North shore.

First time on Kaua’i

Have been to other islands and Kauai is now our favorite! The condo was great! Had everything we needed and was in a great location. When you book a place with a “garden view” you usually get a shrub and a parking lot view. Not this place! Gorgeous cactus garden and even a bit of ocean! The grounds are huge and beautiful. Easy walk to the beach and to shopping across the street. Bed and pillows were comfy. Will definitely be back and hope to book the same condo!

Great Kauai Property

This was a great place to stay. Literally a 2 minute drive to Poipu beach. You can also walk there if you wanted. 3 minute walk to Kiahuna beach. The area is great. The unit was very clean. Had everything we needed. Had A/C in the bedroom, which was nice. Even had beach chairs and umbrella to use. Those small things made it even better. Perfect for our stay. Would stay there again.

Can’t wait to come back

The location of this property is perfect! Close to lots of restaurants and shops-within walking distance or very short drive. Just a five minute walk to the beach where you can rent snorkel gear/beach gear. The condo comes with two chairs, an umbrella, small cooler, and some boogie boards. The pool was nice, with poolside service. There was a nice AC unit in the bedroom that kept it cool at night. The view of the cactus garden is beautiful. I will definitely be staying here again in the future!

First trip to Kauai

A friend and I spent nine nights at the condo and certainly enjoyed it. The property is lovely and well situated. Shops, restaurants and the beach are just a stroll away. A couple of days were a little chilly but that’s the way it goes! The entire island is easily traveled from the Poipu area. I highly recommend!

Great spot in Poipu

This was a great spot to stay while in Poipu. The condo has a nice view of a garden and is a couple of minutes walk to the beach. The closest beach is a semi-private beach on the property, with plenty of beach chairs, space, and towels available. Looks like daily surf lessons are right there, so a really convenient way to learn to catch some Hawaiian waves. So easy and a beautiful area!

Great location. Short walk to nice beach. Nice condo complex. Beach chairs at beach hut and umbrellas in the condo. Also boogie boards and swim fins. No ocean views from this unit but short walk to beach -- sunsets every night with rum drinks (we brought our own to the beach). Walkable to restaurants at Sheraton.

Moir Cactus Garden View Condo

The view of the Moir Cactus Garden was lovely and listening to all the birds in the surrounding trees was tranquil. The lanai was so private and peaceful. The king size bed was very comfortable. The condo location is excellent for walk ability to many restaurants, shops and the beach. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Best host ever

We loved this property and found Charles to be the best super host we’ve ever dealt with very courteous, kind and helpful throughout our visit. We loved the unit which has a beautiful peaceful view of a garden area, very private, quiet, and serene. The only thing we didn’t like was leaving!

A wonderful basecamp for enjoying & exploring Kauai

A quick walk to beaches, snorkeling, restaurants, bars. A slightly longer walk to lovely shops and more restaurants, and galleries A short drive to to more of the above And a perfect basecamp for exploring the island with awesome hikes in the Wimea canyon, the Kanapali coast, visit to the Kauai coffee plantation, a lovely Luau at the Sheraton next door...absolutely beautiful dinners at Merriman's near by and at Sam's ocean view in Kapaa, to name a few

Great family vacation spot

The condo was clean and comfortable and we appreciated the air conditioning. It was nice to make breakfast and to cook meals with the fish we caught! Loved the location and you can't beat the stretch of beach. The towel and chair checkout process was easy and the availability of renting additional equipment was helpful, along with the condo-provided umbrellas and snorkel gear, which was great.

Poipu Spring Break

This Condo was perfect for our little family!!! Short walk to the beach and short walk to the pool. The pool was perfect for kids and the beach was amazing. From the start to the finish everything went as smooth as possible. I was super impressed with the entire staff at the facilities, both the pool and the resort where the condo is located. Everyone down to the guys that cut the lawn were so warm and friendly. The Resort where it is located was beautiful and lush. And there is so much to do all within walking distance. Thank you Charles for sharing your amazing condo with us!!

Great place close to the beach

This place was perfect for my 14 year old son and myself. Easy and short walk to the beach and with great waves to learn to surf on. Friendly and helpful staff. Across the main road was a shopping center with juice bar, coffee, and simple easy breakfast.

Great location and spot

It was lovely staying here. The property was a nice size for my husband and 2yo toddler. It is missing simple condiments like oil/spices/etc, so be sure to bring some. The location is a 5 minute walk to the beach and a 10 minute walk to the pool. The owner was quick to respond when we messaged them. We will for sure stay here again in the future.

Great location & condo

We really enjoyed our time in Poipu. It was a really perfect start to our 2 week Hawaiian vacation. Charles was great as well as the management staff. We did experience an issue with A/C unit which Charles and the management staff fixed promptly. The unit is very nice, contains all the basics needed for a great stay. Chairs and towels offered at the beach was wonderful. The ground around the property are beautiful. Very short wall to the beach. Overall a great experience and would definitely return.

No frills condo close to the beach, restaurants and shopping

We stayed as a family of 4 in the condo for a week. The place is nice, clean and a short walk from great beaches in Poipu. There was a gentle breeze through the rooms the entire time which was very pleasant. Room service changed our sheets on request. The front desk person was also super nice to replace our towel cards for free. There are many restaurants and shops nearby that you can easily walk to. There is a pool but it takes about 10 mins to get to it and it was an all day/half-day activity for us.

Kiahuna Plantation/Outrigger

Everything was as advertised. This was our third trip to Kiahuna Plantation. For the price and having such a nice beach area you cannot beat it. You can either lay out on the sand or stay up on the grass, above the sand, which we like. Chairs and towels are available at no cost. You can swim, learn to surf board, or do some snorkeling (somewhat limited). The fans have always been all we have needed but we do travel in Feb. when things are a little cooler. The walk to the beach area takes 3 to 4 mins., I walk slow. Improvements have been made to the restaurant which were needed. Food was good and drinks were better and of course bring your wallet. The TV had cable with many, many channels. I did notice the channels duplicated themselves with different numbers but still more channels than you will ever need. Smaller flat screen. Had a very good wifi connection for us, we do not game. Also, as most do, the cable channel had many music channels which we really enjoyed. The view of the MOIR garden is right off the patio and it is great. You can see the ocean if you really look hard through the vegetation. We did not use the pool or gym this trip (should have). When we were there several years ago it was very nice. With it being across the road from the main complex does take away from using the complex but then again there is value to keeping the grounds nice and no noise from a pool area. For individuals going on your first trip to Hawaii there are two things you need to keep in mind. First, the price of food is very high. This includes the grocery store. They do have a Walmart, Costco, and Safeway as well as smaller stores but things do cost a lot more here. Second, is the day/night you leave. It makes a long day if you do not plan out your last day. As a sidebar traffic is an issue around Lihue, Wailua, and Kapaa. We are seniors, from a colder state and we do love Hawaii.
