Weekend Escape to Cielo

My partner and I escaped our busy city life and stayed the weekend at Cielo the Cottage. Our stay was peaceful and we were able to enjoy the town of Julian, as well as the surrounding area. We highly recommend this cottage for stargazing, quiet, and great quality time together.

Not what we expected

When arriving to the cottage parking is horrible , but that’s minor compare to the other things. We weren’t aware there was no TV , we plugged the heaters in and it blew a fuse so we were without power the first day/night. 2nd day when going to bbq there was NO propane which was a pain in the ass. The bed was literally horrible and so uncomfortable. The morning of leaving my girlfriend and I were actually talking about the negative things that happened while staying here and then as we’re talking the shower turns on. So I had to turn it off. How the heck did the shower turn on by itself. But maybe that’s the reason why there is a dream catcher and pink Himalayan salt lights in the house. (To catch the bad spirits ) on top of all that all the hook to hang things on the wall fell off the wall every time you hang something up. Why get paid a cleaning fee if we have to make sure the dishwasher is loaded.

Peaceful Stay

The home was peaceful and you cant beat morning coffee and the birds off the balcony! Kitchen and bathroom clean and work very efficiently! The couch was comfy and it was a great space to disconnect I am I am grateful there was no TV. Grateful to spend quality time here with my family! Thank you!

Lovely little cottage home

I enjoyed a 2 week stay here with my parents and 2 young children. It suited all our needs. The kitchen was perfect for preparing and cooking family meals. The kids especially enjoyed playing on the outside deck/balcony during the day - plenty of space for my 4 yr old to build epic train tracks with his wooden train set while my 2 yr old rode around on a tricycle. And my parents loved the quiet peaceful evenings and starlit night sky views.
