About this property

The Beckford House in Historic Woodstock

Welcome to the Beckford House! This charming house is nestled in Woodstock's historic district packed with character in every room. The view of the Blue Ridge Mountains over cow pastures from the back deck is quintessential Shenandoah Valley. The house is just a few minutes walk to a brewery, a bakery, an ice cream shop, the Woodstock Cafe, and scores of antique stores-- with award-winning wineries and breweries dotting the valley on both sides of the Shenandoah River.

Beckford House's kitchen is fully updated and well apportioned for cooking meals together with local farmers market ingredients, or grilling on the back deck--then relax around the fire pit with some local wine as stars shoot overhead. Take your pick of three bedrooms--ranging from the magnificent master bedroom, to the cozy second bedroom, and finally the pint-sized 'bunk room'--accessed via the Master bedroom--complete with a twin and a full -- perfect for kids of all ages! There is enough space for the whole family or a group of friends to spread out and enjoy--plus the recently renovated bathrooms are on point!

Cleverly placed reading nooks are sprinkled throughout the house so you can unplug and relax--or gather around the dining room table to work on some puzzles or play a game. And if you must work, there is high-speed WiFi coverage throughout the house and also on the front porch where you can surf lazily on a rocking chair or porch swing. Off-street parking is available in the driveway and a shed is available for guests to store their bikes or kayaks overnight.

No visit to the Shenandoah Valley is complete without some hiking, fishing, tubing, or kayaking in Seven Bends State Park--just a five minute drive from the house! Come see why Woodstock is considered the Capital of the Shenandoah--we look forward to welcoming you soon!

Relaxing little retreat
We met up with our two adult children and their spouses for a holiday weekend. Great space for hanging out, catching up, and playing lots of games. Enjoyed several easy walks through town. Accommodations were great.

Cute and cozy
We had a lovely time in this adorable home. This place is perfect for those looking to cook a meal at home as it’s fully furnished with everything you need to do so. It’s equally perfectly located to walking distance into town that has a few restaurants and cafes. Next time we look forward to using the fire pit outside. We very much enjoyed not having a TV in the house as we enjoyed the coziness of the home to socialize with eachother. I slept so well, the beds are comfy! The owner was very pleasant and quick to respond to questions. Highly recommend this quant home!
