About Kitty Travnikoff

Lloyd is a retired General Contractor. I am a retired teacher. We have 3 adult children and 3 grandchildren.

Kitty Travnikoff purchased this cabin in 1989

Why Kitty Travnikoff chose Tahoma

I'm from Wisconsin and like to see snow a few times a year. We used to visit Tahoe before we built our cabin. Lloyd was working on a Safeway when I found our lots. We liked the area because it offered summer and winter sports that we liked. Tahoe is 2 hours away for us so a quick weekend getaway is possible. We like to go sledding, skiing, snowboarding, hiking, bike riding and gambling. Tahoe fits the bill. family likes hiking, bike riding, going to the beach, and eating at buffets in Reno & South Shore in the summer. In the winter, our kids enjoy sledding, snowboarding and skiing. I enjoy staying at home and reading.

What makes this cabin unique

I love the peace and quiet. No immediate neighbors. We own our side of the block and the neighbor across from us owns the whole block and his house faces the other street. Our cabin is at the end of our street and backs up to a greenbelt. This gives easy access to hiking and sledding. More hiking & biking trails start at the end of Gray Ave.I love the peace and quiet. No immediate neighbors. We own our side of the block and the neighbor across from us owns the whole block and his house faces the other street.

Awesome cabin for two

  • 5 of 5

This little cabin is perfect for two people (or even a small family). We loved the location and the amenities; the owners have provided everything you might need for a relaxing weekend. The bed is very comfortable; the kitchen well-stocked and the bathroom is modern and spacious.

Thank you Kitty!

Our second time staying here, we hope to come back again and again. Perfect size for us. Good quiet location at the end of a street. Close to plenty of Tahoe activities we enjoy.

Great cabin and location

  • 5 of 5

This was our third time renting this cabin. The unit is super clean. The bed and furniture is comfortable. The cabin was stocked with condiments, coffee, paper products and laundry detergent. Located close to beaches, hiking trails and resturants. Thank you Kitty for making our stay so enjoyable. We will be back next year!

Comfortable, attractive, clean, well-equipped, convenient home for a vacation cabin for 2

  • 5 of 5

Cabin is very comfortable for 2 people, clean, well-furnished with stylish pieces and good linens, including well-equipped and modern kitchen and bathroom. Location is perfect on a quiet street with privacy, but at the same time, convenient to the lake, Tahoe City, and hiking trails. The two TVs are great with access to many channels (including Tennis Channel during the French Open). We have stayed in this cabin a few times (only in summer). Kitty and Lloyd have always been helpful and considerate. This visit, we didn't have any occasion to call them. Since our last review, the WiFi was upgraded and worked perfectly at 51 mbps. For us, the only weakness of this cabin is that we would prefer a king-size and firmer bed, but the queen is attractive and in good condition. Otherwise, it is a perfect vacation home for us.
