About the property

Cabin, 1/1, Sleeps 2 adults & 2 children under 12

Just steps from Tahoe National Forest, this cozy cabin offers a spectacular view of nature. The peaceful ambiance at this cabin offers guests a reason to do absolutely nothing, completely without guilt! Slow down, take a break, unwind, loosen up, chill out, and put your feet up. And when you are as relaxed as you can be, West Shore is a terrific place from which to do just about everything at Lake Tahoe.

We are two miles from West Shore Café and Inn. We are happy to have guests of the wedding party book with us. We are not licensed for events - parties, bridal showers, weddings, etc.

Enjoy the beauty of North Lake Tahoe’s sunny West Shore in our guest cabin. Our cabin is two blocks off of Highway 89 and backs up to open space. It is four hours to San Francisco and two hours to Sacramento. There’s off street parking for one vehicle in the winter. We own the lot next to us and it can be used for parking additional cars and/or a boat in the summer.

The guest cabin was built in 1989 and has just been updated. It is ideal for a couple with small children. The fully-equipped kitchen has a coffee maker, microwave, plus all other eating, serving, and preparation items. The living room has a queen sleeper sofa, recliner, and a Flat Screen Cable HDTV with a DVD player. There is another Flat Screen TV with DVD player in the bedroom. The bedroom has a queen bed. The hall closet has a washer/dryer. There’s a Weber grill and chairs on the deck.

This is a guest house on a property that has a larger cabin that is also available for rent (see ad 31691). The main cabin may be rented by other guests during your stay.

Bring your laptop, we have WIFI. We just installed a landline phone for your convenience. We have provided 2 sleds and portable chairs that you may borrow.

The cabin is a great option for an affordable getaway for a small family or a couple. Great location if you love the west side of Tahoe! Will hopefully stay here again!

Peaceful stay

  • 4 of 5

What a cute little place! My husband and I stayed here for a weekend while participating in the Tahoe triathlon. The house is located at the end of the road, so it was super quiet and very relaxing. Due to my sister getting married all in the same weekend and unforeseen timing issues we ended up getting there a day later than planned. And while I was ready to call it a wash, Kitty offered us an additional night at the end of our stay. (Thats a big plus in my books) Just what we needed after the race! We already have plans to come back next year.

West shore is the best

  • 4 of 5

Neat and clean property. Minutes from the best beach on the lake, Meeks Bay.

The only negative is the child-size toilet. An adult-size toilet would have an elongated bowl.

Everything else was perfect.
