About Amy Greener

Hi, my name is Amy Greener and I am helping my neighbors, Kurt and Lore, to rent their 3 cabins. We've rented our own cabins for years and now I'm happy to be able to offer the Ullrich's beautifully maintained cabins as well. Kurt and Lore are always doing something to make their rental cabins nicer--painting, staining, roofing, hot tub maintenance, new linens--you name it and they take care of it. I've been inside dozens and dozens of rental cabins, and their cabins are among the nicest and cleanest I've seen.

Amy Greener purchased this cabin in 2003

Why Amy Greener chose Pigeon Forge

Kurt and Lore are natives of Germany and emigrated to Canada and then the United States. They operated a business and raised two sons in Florida, and after 40 years in the Sunshine State decided to retire to the beautiful Smoky Mountains. A few years later, Kurt and Lore custom built 3 cabins on the top of the mountain where they now live. Lore says they wanted to offer their guests cabins that feel comfortable and more like home. Walk inside any of their cabins and I think you'll agree...it's like having your very own mountain top retreat!

What makes this cabin unique

Alpine Belle is a romantic retreat at the top of the mountain. You'll enjoy views and a peaceful setting that will make you never want to leave. The Belle is comfortable, clean and very well maintained--just what you want in a vacation home. The electric fireplace is available year-round at the flip of a switch. The jetted tub in the bedroom lets you soak away the day's cares. Or it you'd like to be in the great outdoors, turn on the hot tub on the private rear deck for the ultimate Smoky Mountain experience. From the king bed with a cushy 2' foam mattress topper to the leather recliner, the Alpine Belle offers all the comforts of home while you're on vacation!

Lovely, well kept

  • 4 of 5

There's a reason the deck overlooks that beautiful view - it is necessary to go up some VERY steep roads to get to the cabin! I wouldn't recommend trying it for the first time at night - there are no guard rails and the roads are poorly lit. Other than that, the accommodations are wonderful - very comfortable and pleasant. Indoor hot tub is barely big enough for two but the outdoor one is quite spacious. Bed is comfortable and kitchen adequate. All in all, we enjoyed the cabin very much!

Owner's Response: Hi Sarah, thanks the review. Yes, the half mile drive to the cabin is best done the first time in daylight. We encourage our guests to arrive early if possible and offer earlier check in times whenever possible. The jacuzzi tub is actually an oversized bath tub—more for one person than two. The hot tub on the deck is considered a 4 person model and definitely affords plenty of room for two people :) I’m glad you enjoyed your stay and hope we can host you again sometime!

Beautiful Week of Foliage in the Smokey Mountains

  • 5 of 5

This was our second time staying at this cabin and we enjoyed it as much this time as we did the first time. It has beautiful views from the front deck, especially this time of year with the fall foliage. The cabin is very neat, clean and up to date and has everything you need to have an enjoyable stay. Although it was heartbreaking to see the damage from the fires in 2016, it was great to see that both Gatlinburg and pigeon Forge are thriving. We plan to be back again in the near future. Thanks for sharing a little corner of paradise with us.

Owner's Response: Lynn, thank you for coming back to Alpine Belle! We truly appreciate each and every one of our "regulars." Your compliments mean so much. I'm glad you were able to see that the area is doing well despite the fires from almost a year ago. So many people cancelled their vacations after the fires and tourism has been down, but I think we are in the middle of a comeback and will be even better in the coming year or two. Many things are happening here as you probably noticed. Please come back and explore the next round of improvements!

Cabin = clean, well maintained; View = adequate. Trees in front have grown & block much of view

  • 4 of 5

Hi Amy:

As we mentioned in the note we left for you, we were well pleased with the cabin. It was exceptionally clean and well maintained. Instructions left in the unit were appropriate and clear. Location is a good central jumping off place for Sevierville, Gatlinburg, and the Smokie Mountain National Park All in all, we enjoyed our visit very much. Next time, we plan to take the unit next door. It has a much better view!! :-)

Owner's Response: Hi Tom and Susan! It was a pleasure to host your stay at Alpine Belle. I'm pleased you enjoyed it and thank you for the note after your stay. I will be there in a couple of days and I'll take a look at the view again. I was there a few weeks ago and I didn't notice it appearing overgrown, but sitting in a rocker could be a different view experience than standing on the deck. Thanks and please come again anytime!

Cozy cabin

  • 4 of 5

It was a great location. Nice size cabin just for 2 and a dog. Needed a little more cleaning between the fridge and the wall and ceiling fans. We really enjoyed our stay

Owner's Response: Hi Rodney, I'm glad you enjoyed Alpine Belle. We will definitely get the those items attended to. Sometimes ceiling fans and tucked-away areas get missed on regular housekeeping days. Please come again anytime!

Peaceful escape in the mountains!

  • 5 of 5

Hurricane Irma chased us away from enjoying our annual Hilton Head, SC vacation; so we booked this cozy cabin. Peaceful and quiet with treetop views. Easy distance between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. However, finding the cabin on the mountain roads was a bit of an adventure for two mid-westerners.

Our favorite aspects of the cabin:

The hot tub

Gas fireplace

Deck & views!

Cozy wood interior with skylight windows!

Cleanliness--it smelled clean walking in the door

Being able to bring our Havanese, Freddie!

The kitchen is small---we like to cook but made due and adequate for a vacation trip. We even utilized the charcoal grill.

Nothing negative about our experience here! It wasn't our annual beach vacation but enjoyed our times in the Smokies and exploring the area!

We enjoyed the visitors center, the aquarium in Gatlinburg and making mugs at Fowler's Clay works.
