About this property

Treehouse Log Cabin *Outdoor Tubs*Waterfall*Pets

Welcome to Treehouse Dreams - our ultra-chic, newly-built, Scandi-modern log cabin nestled in the breathtaking Asheville mountains, just minutes from downtown! Sleep under the stars, slip into double outdoor tubs with views, relax on the loggia, hike our 4 acres of peaceful forest with creek & baby waterfall, and be spoiled by a gourmet coffee bar, plush bedding, spa bath, & more! This idyllic retreat offers an unforgettable getaway.

Wind up the mountain to 3500 feet, passing grazing cows, bubbling creeks, towering trees, spiraling hawks, and lumbering bears. As you park and step out of your vehicle, you'll notice the call of songbirds, and know that your vacation has officially begun! Cross the rope bridge to enter Treehouse Dreams cabin, and sink into luxury. Newly built, natural wood living, vaulted ceilings, soaring ceilings, gorgeous natural light. Cuddle up around a fire on our enclosed loggia deck. Enjoy romance under the stars. End the day with a sunset soak in twin outdoor bathtubs with views.

ESCAPE is what it's all about! Ascend the custom ladder to a cozy sleeping loft with premium, king-sized Brooklyn Bedding Aurora Luxe mattress sunken right into the hardwood floor. Right above you is a panoramic skylight, allowing you to sleep under the stars while wrapped up in 600 thread-count, ultra long-staple, 100% cotton sateen sheets.

Open a sliding door to the upper loggia, and slip into private double bathtubs facing gorgeous views of land and forest. Need privacy? No problem - just draw the outdoor curtains closed. *Please note - this is a pair of freestanding bathtubs, not hot tubs.* For a change of scenery, descend to the lower deck for lounging on Adirondack chairs around a cozy, propane-fueled fire circle. Keep an eye out for bear sightings as you lounge, surrounded by rustling old growth trees and chattering squirrels.

NEED MORE SLEEPING SPACE? No problem! The living room sofa is a West Elm queen sleeper with a premium 5” gel-infused memory foam mattress.

THE BATHROOM is on the main floor, and equipped with luxurious rainfall shower head, custom live edge wood vanity, designer mirror, custom tile work, and the cabin’s commode.

KITCHENETTE AMENITIES include two-burner electric mini-stove, retro-style mini refrigerator, gourmet coffee bar, stainless steel pots and pans, quality knives, toaster, small crock pot, and all the little things that make cooking fun: wine opener, mixing bowls, grater, can opener, colander, peeler, measuring cups/spoons, olive oil, spices, etc.

GOURMET COFFEE BAR includes dark French roast, medium breakfast roast, and decaf whole beans, Cuisinart drip coffee maker and bean grinder, french press, gooseneck hot water kettle, creamer, sugar, Torani syrups, and hot chocolate.

WE LOVE FURRY FRIENDS! This cabin is open to doggies (no cats due to very intense allergies), but please note the following house rules:
- Bears are very active in this area, so dogs must be on leash at all times when outdoors
- The sleeping loft can only be accessed by ladder. Pets are not allowed to climb the ladder due to safety, but may be carried if they are small enough
- Pets may not be left alone in the house
- Pets are not allowed on the sofa

ON THE TECH FRONT, we hope that you can unplug and enjoy the outdoors in earnest while visiting, but also provide a smart-TV with Roku system that allows you to log into your own Netflix and other streaming accounts. Our internet connectivity is strong for a rural community, with connection provided by T-Mobile broadband.

Guests have full access to the treehouse (minus small locked owner's closet), wraparound decks, private loggias, and our private 2 acres of land and forest. Downtown Asheville is just minutes away, down the mountain!

Asheville is our vacation home-away-from-home, so we are not local but readily available by message and phone

-Please review the lease agreement which becomes binding at booking under “House Rules”.

-Due to insurance liability, we are unable to rent to anyone under 25 years old. There must be someone at least 25 years old present in order to rent our home, and photo ID will be required prior to check-in. New users to the Airbnb platform will be greeted in person at check-in to verify identity and IDs.

-Bears live on the land and are frequent visitors. They are awfully cute, but please don't approach. They will leave you alone if you leave them alone, and never get between a mama bear and her cubs. They are clever and know how to open house and car doors, even the hot tub cover. Lock all doors/covers, and don't leave any food in your car, or you may encounter a furry surprise!

-Nature abounds in the forest! Wooded areas are home to critters such as but not limited to bears, deer, squirrels, rodents, spiders, ants, and insects. We are contracted with a pest control company with regularly scheduled treatments... but alas, Mother Nature reigns, and bugs and critters thrive out here. Please understand the possibility of seeing critters in and around the home, and that their presence does not entitle the guest to a refund.

-The driveway is flat, packed gravel. Please drive slowly and carefully, taking care not to spin wheels in the gravel.

-Please note that the loft ladder is positioned in front of the sofa and must be moved to accommodate opening the sleeper. It is solid wood and heavy - users must be strong and able-bodied enough to move the ladder and unfold the sofa.

-Maximum capacity is strictly limited to 4 folks, including children, at all times. The cabin is on a septic system (like much of the local area), so exceeding capacity would mean an overloaded septic system, which means open sewage issues which... ew. Nobody wants that.

-No smoking in the house. If you need to smoke, please do so outside and properly dispose of waste. Take care to ensure embers are not left to smolder in forest leaf pilings or other flammable surfaces, as drought conditions have created fire-ready tinder all around.

-Free WiFi is included. Do not unplug or alter the router or modem or any electronic devices in any way. Before checking out please remember to log out of streaming services if you used them with your account (Netflix, Disney, etc.).

-Guests routinely comment on the "sparkling" cleanliness achieved by our very hardworking cleaning team. Everyone is human, though, so please let us know if anything is amiss immediately upon check-in.

-No parties allowed! Parties are strictly banned across the entire Airbnb platform. Also, we are in a quiet residential community. Neighbors will not hesitate to report excessive noise to the police and to us. Immediate eviction with *no refund* will result if there is a party on the property.

-Before checking out, we ask guests to leave beds and towels messy, dishes clean, and doors/windows locked.

-To protect your vacation investment, we encourage you to purchase travel insurance. No refunds will be given due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

-Security device on premises: Ring Floodlight cam facing driveway
Pets (2 max) must be crated when left alone indoors and leashed when outside. Pets are not allowed on furniture or on the loft ladder.
Turn off interior and exterior lights when not in active use - light carries far in a dark forest
No smoking or vaping indoors. Smoking waste must be disposed of properly and not allowed to smolder on the ground; the cabin is in a high fire danger zone.
Please be respectful of the neighbors and reduce noise and light volume between 10pm and 8am
No parties
Never approach bears
Keep all doors locked
No climbing trees
Please remove shoes inside the house
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

Very cool, super clean and comfy!!! So close to all that Asheville has to offer, and yet you’re far enough into the woods that you feel a real sense of having gotten away from it all. The hosts could not have been nicer or more responsive. And the place is well-provisioned with everything you'll need to enjoy your stay, right down to the delicious cheesecake left for us in the retro mini-fridge… And yes, we needed that too!! Would book again for sure!! Oh, I’ll say it one more time…. SUPER CLEAN!
