Dragon Fly = Relaxation
We loved everything about the Cabin, It's vert well appointed with everything you will need. The area has great hiking on the property and close by. We will hopefully be back next year.
My husband and I wanted a very laid back honeymoon after the stresses of planning our wedding and this house gave us exactly that! From the gas fireplace to a fully screened in porch, we had everything we needed to fully unwind and enjoy our first week as newlyweds. We would recommend this property to anyone and will definitely be back in the future.
Wonderful experience! Awesome layout and kitchen was wonderful to cook in and have relaxing evenings by the fire. Very clean and well stocked with utensils and household items.
Don’t let this rental go if it is available! I had never heard of this neighborhood before renting this property and we are so glad that we did. It was a perfect get away filled with fall leaves, no one around, fire pit s’mores and even mini golf. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us. It had everything we needed to cook in for the night and we slept so well! Can’t wait to return.

Very Nice Home with everything you might need.
We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful home. The beds were super comfortable and there was so many thoughtful touches from the host. I would definitely stay at this home again and I will recommend it to friends and family who might be visiting the area. We walked the neighborhood and hiking trails and took our dog to the dog park that is super close to the house. We spent most of our time on the very relaxing screen porch since the weather was so nice while we were there. Highly recommend this home as it has everything you would need and it is decorated so pretty. Also, it is in a very safe and friendly neighborhood.

Home Away From Home
Not enough word as can express how amazing this stay was. Of course the amount of things to do in the area was unbelievable! If you love hiking, you got it! Hiking trails on site or a little further out in Gorges State Park, and many others are just spectacular views. Some hikes were not the easiest, some tougher terrain. Then take a drive up to Highlands for a wonderful downtown experience with lots a cute stores. Our personal fave was the Christmas store. The cabin is just jaw dropping with vaulted ceilings making the spaces feel much bigger. There is an ensuite upstairs and a beautiful bed and bath down stairs. The kitchen had all supplies you could possibly need! And Ingles is a short little trip to pick up groceries. The biggest compliment of this stay was the outstanding communication from Rusty. Huge high five to you for your quick response on everything. So to wrap this up, it's a must stay!

Dragonfly Mountain Cabin is one of the top 5 rentals we've ever stayed at.
The owner is very communicative and you can immediately tell he wants his guest to have the best time. We spent all week playing the "I bet the cabin does NOT have _____ " but lost every time. They've literally thought of everything, including an outlet for a Level 2 EV charger.
We had the pleasure of staying here in December '22. We like vacations with a good mix of relaxation and activities and the Chinquapin neighbourhood has it all.
There are many walking/hiking trails and mountain bike trails to explore at varying difficulty levels. There are a number of waterfalls you can visit without leaving the neighbourhood. There are multiple fire pits but we opted to use the one at The Outpost (clubhouse) because it was fully stocked with 'Smores supplies and hot chocolate.
The Outpost has indoor and outdoor games, TV's and couches to relax in and the kids loved the popcorn machine. They're currently building a pizza oven area and the calendar shows live music and parties throughout the year.
The kids loved the remote control fireplace for instant warmth and we loved the well-stocked kitchen, making it easy to cook great meals after stocking up at the Ingles Supermarket, a short 20-minute drive away in Cashiers. Cashiers is a cool little town to explore in an afternoon.
During the summer, the neighbourhood has archery, fishing and other activities but even during the winter we took advantage of the BB gun range with tin cans to shoot at, the driving range, the batting cages and frisbee golf course.
We'll definitely be back to this fantastic cabin in the mountains.
Cottage was more than I expected. Everything was stocked from kitchen utensils to bath supplies. Location was great for walking, and if you have a dog, dog park just a few minute walk. Cool mornings could be enjoyed on the screened porch, plenty of room. I have booked for next year.
Had a wonderful time with wife and 2 kids! Owner was super responsive so e and helpful. Julie falls was amazing! House was super clean and my wife was in awe at how well-appointed it was! The owner really has thought of everything! Can’t wait to come back!
There are not enough characters in this review to describe how amazing this home is! It has everything you need! From the comfortable master bed to the options of bath salts for the master tub! Spacious and cozy! Rusty was very friendly and even provided directions to check out the neighborhood waterfalls!
If you’re a golfer, you’ll enjoy the driving range which provides all the golf balls and even some clubs and putters, free for visitors! The lodge has a fire pit and all the fixins to make s’mores, too!
Highly recommended! You won’t be disappointed! My family and I cannot wait to come back!
Big thanks to Rusty and Cindy for opening their home to visitors!
We enjoyed a few days hiking and exploring the area. This house was beautiful and in a wonderful neighborhood. It has everything we needed and more. It was decorated so cute. We loved it. We definitely want to go back soon!

Most well equipped home we’ve ever stayed in!
We absolutely loved staying in this beautiful cabin! It had absolutely everything we needed and more. The attention to detail to ensure our stay was enjoyable was top notch. The owners were wonderful! The power went out one morning in the neighborhood and before we could call them, they’d reached out to let us know what was going on. The community is amazing and full of so many amenities. We have two young boys. They enjoyed the hiking trails, batting cage, putt putt and driving range. Oh and fishing! We will most definitely be back!!
My husband and I stayed the week and had such an amazing time! The neighborhood is very quiet and so peaceful. The house had everything we could possibly need. We would go off walking trails and exploring the town during the day and would be home in time to watch the sun go down each evening as we sat on the screened porch. Just wonderful!
This delightful cottage sits near amenities and trails within the large Chinquapin property near Cashiers. The 4100 ft altitude keeps summer nights and mornings quite cool - we kept windows open throughout our two weeks. The house is almost new, with comfortable appointments.. A bit tight for four adults, but perfect for a family with 1 or 2 children.

Beautiful cozy cottage
The Dragonfly cottage has everything you would need for a carefree vacation. Rusty was super helpful and responded quickly with any questions we had! Everything was very clean and well taken care of. We loved sitting outside in the patio and listening to nature and watching the rain come in. Thanks again for a wonderful stay!
The house is absolutely beautiful, and will all of the amenities anyone would need! We especially loved the screened porch where we spent most of our time! The neighborhood is fantastic, and we were fortunate to meet several neighbors. The home is close to great hiking trails, and around the corner to Panther Town! We also enjoyed the pickleball courts!
Clean, charming, dog & child friendly mountain house
Lovely home with every amenity you could possibly need. Located in a safe, beautiful community with lots to do including fishing, hiking, putt putt and pickle ball.
