Welcome to beautiful Santa Rosa Beach, Florida! Our traditional beach cottage is located in the Gulfview Heights beach community, south of Scenic 30A, just 200 steps from the beach access. No parking. issues when you stay with us. Our house has been our family vacation home for over 14 years, to say we love it would be an understatement. We have spent many memorable moments at Blue Parrot Cottage and are thrilled to extend an invitation to those travelers looking for a special place to visit. The minute you arrive, you will feel something unique. We can’t explain it, but it happens every time! We have been truly blessed with the most amazing guests whose children and grandchildren have grown up visiting with us. We have kindled beautiful friendships. Together each and everyone has helped to make this dream possible.

The House

Enjoy a relaxing family vacation in our two-bedroom, two-bathroom beach house with a private heated pool. Our beautiful cottage accommodates 6 guests comfortably and is a short two-minute stroll from the driveway to the dune walkover. You will never contend with parking issues. We are also adjacent to Draper Lake making this a perfect getaway for nature lovers. Our home offers a great location, peaceful surroundings, scenic beauty, and is close to all amenities. We have all the comforts of home sprinkled in with many extras! If you need some R&R please come visit us soon! Let the sound of the surf lull you to sleep, take a dip in the pool or sit quietly watching the sunset. No matter what your preference, we have wonderful outdoor and indoor spaces to enjoy. Are you a foodie? Whether you prep meals in the kitchen, grill outdoors, or dine out at some of 30A’s finest restaurants, you will discover a variety of culinary delights here!

Outdoor Space

Ours is a large corner 1/3 acre lot with a lush lawn, irrigation system, natural vegetation, and a sparkling 13' by 26' private heated pool. Outdoor furniture floats, and pool toys are included. Our pool is not shared with any other houses. Pool heating is an additional service and must be requested at the time of reservation. It is available during peak season, from March through to October. The fee is $50 a day. Pool heating is discretionary in the winter months.

Included with this rental: 1) 65" (2) 42" smart TVs, DVD player, movies, books, games, oversized sectional sofa, premium mattresses (1 king, 1 queen, 2 twins), down duvets, down alternative duvets, premium linens, oversized dining table, breakfast bar, coffee maker, Keurig machine, coffee bean grinder, 4 slice toaster, electric griddle, blender, emulsifier, food processor, slow cooker, large multi-use pot, portable Bluetooth speakers, hair dryers, clothes steamer, all linens, bath towels, beach towels, beach chairs, beach umbrella, beach toys, and pool floats, Broilmaster Premium Pro Gas Grill. Toiletries and TP are provisional. We provide hand soap, kitchen, and laundry supplies. We ask that you launder the towels separately. *Please use only dye-free laundry detergents, no laundry pods, no chlorine bleach, and no fabric softener or dryer sheets. Thanks!

Beach Access

Our beach house is a short two-minute walk from the house to the Gulfview Heights Beach Access (see aerial photo), with no traffic or busy roads to cross. Restrooms, outdoor showers, a covered picnic pavilion, and a BBQ grill are available for your convenience. We include beach towels, six lightweight aluminum beach chairs, and a beach umbrella for your use.

Dune Lakes/Draper Lake

Draper Lake is located at the end of Betty St. (access from the beach) and offers a unique experience with its diverse ecosystem. Walton County is home to 15 Coastal Dune Lakes along 26 miles of coastline. These lakes are a rare and unique geographical feature only found in Madagascar, Australia, New Zealand, Oregon, and Walton County. Please do not walk on the dunes.

Location
Santa Rosa Beach is a quiet community nestled beside the Gulf of Mexico located approximately 15 miles east of Destin, Florida. Our home offers easy access to shopping, restaurants, deep-sea fishing, family-friendly activities, golf courses, and airports. Grayton Beach, Seaside, Watercolor, and Rosemary Beach are just east of us.

Nearby Activities
Natural beauty abounds along scenic 30-A with miles of walking and biking trails, nature preserves, wildlife, Dune Lakes, sugary white sandy beaches, and crystal clear waters. Bring or rent your bikes nearby and explore the 20-mile-long bike/walking trail, nature preserves, and 15 Dune Lakes. Access the trail steps from the house and runs the entire length of Scenic 30-A. Dining/Shopping Several shops and restaurants are within walking or biking distance. Shunk Gulley, Local Catch, Stinky's, and Goatfeathers are local favorites. Goatfeathers Restaurant & Seafood Market is the oldest establishment along the corridor, a truly historic landmark! The shops, restaurants, and seasonal events of Gulf Place are just 1/4 mile to the west and accessible via the bike/walking trail. There are several upscale beach communities to explore along Scenic 30-A that includes, Seaside (6 miles), Alys Beach, Dune Allen, Gulf Place, Blue Mountain Beach, Grayton Beach, Watercolor, Seagrove Beach, Seacrest, and Rosemary Beach. The Santa Rosa Golf and Beach Club is located less than a mile from Blue Parrot Cottage.
