Very comfortable home

  • 5 of 5

This house was perfect. Well situated near downtown Highlands and close to Cashiers. Great restaurants nearby. We did a lot of hiking, which was also very close. Enjoyed the wonderful bathtub in the masterbath following our hikes. Wish it had been cool enough to use the fireplace but instead we had breakfast/sipped wine in the evening on the lovely porch. Quiet neighborhood. Well equiped kitchen. House was spotless. Hope to return!

House very adequate, clean and homey making for a very pleasant stay.

  • 4 of 5

My sister, her husband, his sister and I all spent a very pleasant week at this home but the driveway and walkway to the house was a challenge for us as we are all senior citizens. If the driveway was level rather than slanted and if there was a handrail on the walkway our stay would have been almost perfect. Terry could not have been nicer and was a joy to work with and she has the housekeeper and a neighbor who are "Johnny-on-the-spot" if you need any "on the property" assistance. The screened porch was a wonderful amenity. We had our coffee out there every morning!!! Kitchen was very well equipped and we could easily have had all our meals there but we chose most of the time to enjoy some of the many fine restaurants - like Madison's, Paoletti's, On the Veranda in Highlands and we had a delightful lunch at Cornucopia in Cashiers. Highlands is a wonderful place to vacation!!

Owner's Response: I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay at our mountain cottage! We did discuss the angled drive before confirming your booking, so hopefully that came as no surprise! Hope to have you again. The screened porch is our favorite too.

Amazing Mountain Getaway Not to be Missed

  • 5 of 5

This place is hard to beat. The drive to the house itself is breathtaking. The back porch is unbeatable- screened in with the peaceful sounds of a nearby creek. The interior is so cozy. In the week we spent there it was hard to convince ourselves to leave the house but the nearby hikes and shopping cannot be missed.

In all, you cannot miss with this place. Be sure to check out the owner's recommendations as they are spot on. Highlands is a great place with wonderful activities and this home is the perfect way to take it all in.

Quiet, Romantic Retreat

  • 5 of 5

After renting this cabin for a quiet get away my boyfriend and I came home relaxed and re-fueled. This cabin is in a quiet neighborhood with a waterfall towards the back of the property you can hear from the gorgeous deck. We took full advantage of the trails around the area and although we had to drive to a few the hikes around the area were phenomenal and perfect for adventure seekers. There area also some great hikes around the area for families with young kids!

Shopping and eating at some of the different restaurants in town was also incredible! We enjoyed coming home to this cabin at the end of a long day and we were able to cook one night with the fully equipped kitchen and updated appliances.

We will be renting this cabin again! Thank you for an incredible stay!

Fabulous Mountain Retreat in HIghlands

  • 5 of 5

Spent a glorious 4 days here - ideal location - close to Highlands with great shops and wonderful restaurants; many hiking trails and waterfalls nearby; perfect place from which to explore the entire area. House is so, so comfortable. Absolutely meticulous. Well stocked kitchen and bathrooms. And, we just loved the screened porch - you feel like you are in the woods with a waterfall in the background. A robin even built a nest and laid 2 beautiful blue eggs while we were there. Would highly recommend for up to 6 people. You do need a car.
