Minimum Stay 7 nights

About the property

Beautiful, newly updated private waterfront home

Directly on the lake with private beach and private dock access to the water!!

Come enjoy our four season lake front cabin located directly on Long Lake where Stevens Brooks meets the lake. This home has been in our family for several generations and is a very special place. The setting is very private, on over 1 private acre with only one direct neighbor. Walk out on the private peninsula and enjoy being surrounded by the water. The cabin boasts a large, 200 sq ft exterior deck with direct views to the lake. It's a great place for a BBQ after a day of boating, skiing or hiking.

This three bedroom family cabin has been recently renovated and has a brand new kitchen and all new bathrooms. The kitchen boasts an induction cooktop and full gourmet accessories (All-Clad, Henckels, Kenmore Elite...) as well as a 3-burner Weber gas grill on the brand new cedar deck. The home has three bedrooms - two with full beds and a children's room with two twin beds.

Bridgton, in Western Maine offers a lot to do regardless of the season. During the summer, rent a boat and enjoy the lake. Or jump in for a swim. Or simply launch a float and relax in the water. During the winter, the area boasts Shawnee Peak, a quick 15 minute drive or Sunday River, 30 minutes north for excellent skiing. Long Lake is over ten miles long for those who enjoy Nordic skiing or snowshoeing.

Easy access to downtown Bridgton for shopping and restaurants, North Conway is within 30 minutes for the tax free factory outlets, shops and more skiing, the Bridgton Drive-in Theater is a real treat during the summer, several 18 hole golf courses are close by, and the Fryeburg Fair in October is only minutes away.

Why Debra chose Bridgton

This 'camp' has been in my family since it was built by my great uncle in 1973. It has been entirely restored and modernized in 2009.

What makes this cabin unique

Direct lake access and a small private peninsula with a private dock and fire pit area.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We recently stayed at a lake house in Bridgton Maine. The house was very nice and was done over recently. The downstairs area was very open and had a beautiful view of the lake. It had its own private beach and dock which was very nice. We had a great time on the dock and enjoyed our vacation.

This lovingly maintained cabin is situated ideally among the trees & on Long Lake. It's an oasis of beauty & peace.

Among favorite moments was sitting solo on the cabin's dock in the early a.m. watching the sun & mists rise over the water while the ducks & loons harmonized in the distance.

Also, sitting on the living room couch, gazing out the window between the pines at the lake, its water sparkling in the sun.

A more ideal retreat you won't find; we look forward to returning!

Great Views

  • 5 of 5

We had a really nice stay and the house was clean and in great shape. Great views from the house/deck on a nice big lot, only a neighbor on one side. If you like to fish, there is a great spot just outside the white shallow marker almost in line with the dock, lots of white perch and a few small mouth bass caught each day. plenty to do in town, and Naples is not that far away, the big bonus is a Dunkin's in down town Bridgton :)

A lovely house in a beautiful location.

  • 5 of 5

Our family of five loved our time here. We especially enjoyed being able to walk just a few steps from the door to the lake. So many great options for activities without ever leaving the home - swimming, kayaking, hanging out in the dock watching wildlife, and so much more. We have both sun worshippers and shade seekers in our family. We were able to all hang out near each other since lots of shady nooks and sunny spots right next to each other. Very private location but only about 5 minutes from the amenity filled town of Bridgton. Wonderful spot for a family vacation!

Wonderful and relaxing stay!

  • 5 of 5

We had a great stay over Labor Day week-end. The house was very clean, well decorated and very comfortable. We loved the view out the the lake from the house as well as the deck. The master bedroom had beautiful windows with lake views on 2 sides.

We really enjoyed the town of Bridgton and found some nice shops and 2 grocery stores.

Great property!

  • 4 of 5

We really loved this place! It was the cleanest place, by far, that we've ever stayed in. I brought my own linens and towels, just in case, but never used mine as the ones on the beds were clean and fresh, as were the towels. Was expecting a "musty" smell as we've experienced in many in the past, but not the case! Appreciated the new grill on the large deck as well! The kitchen was modern and fully supplied! Proximity to grocery shopping and downtown Bridgton was very close! The only issue we had was the dock area! Being boating novices we had difficulty manuevering the boat that we rented because the water levels were too low (assume it had to do with the lack of rain and snow to fill the lake) We had to push the boat in and out to get into an area that was safe for the motor. Not able to swim because water was too shallow, but it was perfect for kayaking, which we did most days. On a positive note, there is a sandbar that you could walk to which would be perfect for families with small children. I would stay here again! Thank you Deb for sharing your beautiful home!

Owner's Response: Thank you Colleen ! thank you for the feedback. We are happy that you and your family enjoyed our home. I can confirm that the lake is unusually extremely low this summer. It is about a foot and a half below normal this year. I used to keep a 17 ft Boston Whaler here with no problem. But I can see for this summer, I would need to raise the prop to get in / out of the dock area. Hopefully we will get some rain and have a snowy winter this season ! thanks again

What a great week at Long Lake!

The weather cooperated and the fabulous home we rented for the week made it a 10 for sure.

Deb's house was very nicely located near Bridgton Center and some great restaurants and stores nearby. The house was updated, clean and had all the amenities needed for a great week's vacation, including nice sheets-towels-cookware, etc...Great place--would recommend for a nice vacation stay.

Bridgton Maine is located 40 minutes west of Portland Maine, and just 20 minutes east of North Conway, NH. This quiet, but vacation friendly community has several large lakes, views of the White Mountains, and access to the Saco River for a canoe trip off the beaten track. Plenty of shopping stores are close by, and there are several quality restaurants to choose from. There is a brand new Magic Latern theatre in downtown Bridgton for rainy days. And the outdoor drive-in is great summertime family fun. This part of Maine is definitely a well kept secret, so come and enjoy the best of Maine.
