About Vacasa, CA - Lake Tahoe Office
Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

To be clear it's not a condo, it's a hotel room at a resort
I travel a lot for races and I've used every booking service out there that you can think of. So I am not new to this and I've stayed in every kind of accommodation you can think of.
The location is great. It's near the nature path that you can take a right over to the ski resort. Great big pool with beautiful views from the deck. For those that care there is a coffee shop and places to get some food.
This is not a condo in any way this is a hotel room. Unfortunately you have to deal with the resorts nonsense rigid policies which just make life a bit harder. Parking is a nightmare. You may use VRBO but then you're actually dealing with a third party rental company and then you're actually dealing with the resort - it is so confusing as to who and what you're dealing with. The hotel itself and the room are OK, but nothing special. Two of the hot tub Spas didn't work properly. The fan in the bathroom doesn't work. No matter if you pick low medium or high fan in the room it never changes the speed and I got the most ridiculous reasoning from maintenance it was laughable. You can't get any access to the outlets near the bed to plug in your phone and what not because the headboards and beds are mounted to the wall and covering the outlets. There is a $25 per day Resort fee on top of your price that I only saw in tiny little print on the ad after I booked which just increases the cost.
I try to be honest about this stuff and I know I wouldn't come back to this resort or condo or hotel or whatever it actually is.
Ps - someone tried to break into my car overnight and I know for a fact because they're were hand prints on the door and windows in the morning. I didn't feel like my vehicle was safe in that parking lot.
We are disappointed to read this guest would not be interested in returning. We will share this review with the owner for their consideration.
Indoor hydro garden, outside roof top garden. fresh herbs, spring salad and spices .Very cool
Great Summer Getaway!
Nice, family friendly, clean place and great unit! Happy with the property and amenities, great family weekend.
Only caution is that we were under the impression that all the "fees" are covered in the payment to Vacasa, then they hit you with a Homeaway $ 40,- fee after check out (Vaasa's parent company). It seems like a great nightly rate - but after all the fees- the average nightly rate went up $ 100.- (just hotel fees tax etc/ not valet, food, extras). Make sure you preview itemized total cost before hitting the book button. It may make more sense to book through hotel.
It’s excellent to hear your family enjoyed your time at the resort! We apologize for any confusion with the booking fees. Just to clarify, HomeAway is a separate company from Vacasa that we use to advertise and book our properties. They do charge a separate booking fee for using their website. If you would like to avoid the extra booking fee in the future, we invite you to book directly through our website. We appreciate you taking the time to give feedback about your stay, and we hope to host you again next time.
Great location...only regret is not having time to use the sauna/steam room or workout in the fit...
Great location...only regret is not having time to use the sauna/steam room or workout in the fitness center. Would definitely recommend this property!
Horrible time for renovation
My father and I booked a room for 3 nights and after our 1st night's rest we opened our door to find workers tearing apart the entire floor that we were staying. There was excessive noise all day (starting very early in the mornings), lots of dust and trash and piles of furniture blocking our paths. The thing that upset me the most was that often we couldn't even get to our room - the renovators put furniture up against our door barring exit or entry and we had to continuously move things. When I tried to calmly ask them not to do this, they either ignored me and walked away or they grunted, clearly incapable of decent human interaction. This was overall upsetting because I liked most of the property.
My father and I should have been treated better. We booked this place 6 months in advance, paid on time, kept our room tidy, paid our dues.
Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We sincerely apologize that the resort's work interfered with your stay and that there was difficulty with the workers. We will follow-up with the resort regarding the matter in the hopes that we can avoid anything like this in the future. We are glad to see that you otherwise enjoyed the property. It's a great spot in the winter for winter sports enthusiasts!
