The Nauhaus is a modern eco-hOMe, with prime natural setting in W AVL
Modern 2 Bedroom hOMe with private entrance in Eco-Fabulous Home called the Nauhaus ((website hidden)), which was designed as a model for urban sustainability.
It features passive solar energy, a living roof, and hemp-crete walls which make it naturally cool in the summer and warm in the winter, and keeps the space extra quiet.

The home has 2 bedrooms; one with a queen size bed and the other with a queen size organic futon bed, with decks off both bedrooms overlooking the backyard with fire pit, full of trees and wildlife such as birds, squirrels, rabbits, hawks, and occasional fox and deer. A year round creek with hobbit style bridge, connects to nature trail, leading to the Hominy Creek Greenway.
The home also has a beautiful tiled bathroom, with bathtub and shower, an open design large living room boasting a cathedral ceiling, with sitting area and fully equipped kitchen, also a dinner table, and an extra sleeping area in the loft in case you have children or additional guests, tall french doors opening outside that provide lots of sunlight and fresh air during the day, and a private front porch with table and chairs for outdoor dining and enjoying drinks of your choice.
Complete with all the amenities of home; all within a rustic setting, surrounded by nature, with a creek running through the backyard, as well as close access to the Greenway trail along the Hominy Creek (river) , and walking distance from Haywood Road / West Asheville Village, and 5 mi to both downtown Ashe-ville and the Biltmore Estate and Village.
We are on a very quiet street, just a few houses down from the West Asheville Park. and a fifteen minute walk to the Farmer's market, health food store, local bakery, coffee shop, music venues, yoga studios, and amazing restaurants all within a mile!

Sleeps up to 5, with 1 Queen size bed in the master bedroom, 1 queen size bed in the room downstairs, as well as sleeping area in the loft, or living room. Children and babies welcome, we have plenty of toddler gear to utilize during your stay.
We are a friendly and conscious young family with a baby who live closeby. We love hosting and providing brochures, ideas, and tips about local attractions.
Asheville loves LOCAL.. and so do we, so we provide local organic Silvermoon chocolates, a craft microbrew or two, and sometimes Buchi kombucha upon your arrival!
You may enjoy sitting on the front porch, walking to the neighborhood park, bustling Haywood Rd., or the adjoining walking trail.
We are here to support your travels and stay with us in case you need anything.

Guests have access to their fully furnished home, which is a unique and dynamic hemp-crete dwelling. The front porch is ideal for enjoying beautiful mountain weather. The parking area is off road in gravel area, and there are steps leading to the front porch. Also, there is a backyard, and bridge crossing the creek with connected walking path.
Interaction with Guests
I enjoy greeting our guests upon arrival.
And, will give a walkthrough of the home when available. I have many recommendations, and ideas of activities and restaurants in the area. I am then readily available via text or phone call, as needed. We live in a home close by, so are easily accessible.
Our neighborhood is very family friendly. There are often families walking with children and pets. The West Asheville Park is a short 3 minute walk at the end of our street. And, the bustling Haywood Rd is a convenient 15 minute walk through the park and down residential Vermont Ave.
There is public transit on Haywood Rd, and I believe Brevard Rd if needed. We offer off street parking close to our home. The Asheville Airport is only about a 15 minute drive from our place. There is a taxi service, and car rentals are available at the airport and in town if needed. I will also Be driving for Uber very soon, so may request my services if needed.
