Bring along your favorite bottle of wine to share with that special someone as the amazing ocean sunsets will inspire romance in even the most cynical of hearts. The trail to the beach is just a short downhill walk from the cabin, with a fresh water pond along the way. Make sure you check for wild strawberries—they are delicious in June! Did you know that Kalaloch is famous for its razor clams? Our cabin is a great place to set up your clam-digging headquarters during the October-May clamming season! For you outdoor enthusiasts and avid hikers, you will find plenty of trails to hike in the area--check out the Olympic National Parks website for trail guides ( In the nearby vicinity of the cabin, a short hike north takes you to the Olympic National Park boundary near South Beach Campground, or hike over to Kalaloch Lodge at low tide for some yummy hot cocoa and a delicious meal.

So come visit us and get away from it all…and don’t forget to bring your camera—the scenery will knock your socks off!!

The best cabin we have ever rented. The roar of the ocean was non-stop & wonderful. The cabin was well equipped & comfortable. We did not see ONE person during our week, either on the beach or the property - utter seclusion. There were no lights off the ocean due to it being a Marine Exclusionary Zone. But there were whales. A lot of grey whales that could be seen from the cabin. The beach (with it's own little path from the cabin) was extraordinary. It was not for swimming, but had other charms. There is at least a 15 ft tide, which made every hour a different experience. We walked for miles & never saw a soul. And though the cabin is in a rain forest, the weather was perfect. There was even one night that was crystal clear full of northern stars. Dining, stores, & hiking trails are not near; but who cares. The cabin & beach are all one needs.

Beautiful property and cabin - a great family getaway!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time at the cabin and exploring the shoreline from the property. We spotted a few whales over morning coffee, enjoyed some campfires, and had a great time exploring Olympic National Park with this property as a launching point. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and private - it was perfect!

Seacrest Cabins was absolutely perfect for our family.

  • 5 of 5

We are a family of 5 (3 teenagers) traveling from Tennessee to visit Olympic National Park, and these cabins were a wonderful place to stay. Qualities that stood out were: Private, and quiet - there is one other cabin on the property (it appears to me that the owners may build more over time), but the hedge rows and spacing between the buildings gives each cabin some privacy (totally different from the cabins at Kalaloch Lodge, which would have driven me crazy); I hope the owners continue the current development pattern if they do build more. Beautiful setting - a direct view of the ocean, settled amongst the trees, just gorgeous. Great beds and linens - may seem silly, but we are frequent users of VRBO, and have come to expect the beds to be somewhere between bad and just okay; but the beds and linens here were excellent and we slept wonderfully. Cute and clean - the pictures are an accurate representation.

We used these cabins as the home base for visiting and hiking at Hurricane Ridge (about 2 hours), Sol Duc (about an hour and a half,) and Hoh (about an hour), along w/ the beaches of Olympic, which are very close. Anyone doing the same should be prepared for those distances.

If we come back to this part of the country, we definitely will look to see if this place is available. Tip of the cap to the owners of this property. Thanks so much for your hospitality in sharing your home with us.

wonderful cabin!

  • 5 of 5

We so enjoyed this cabin we did not want to leave. Perfect location to Hoh Rainforest and Quinault Rainforest, in addition to Forks and all of the beaches along the way. Very clean, well stocked kitchen. So relaxing and peaceful. If we are ever in the area again, we know where we are staying!

Great cabin BUT you can't safely access the beach...

  • 3 of 5

We enjoyed our trip BUT - we had a 2 year old and a very old dog. We wish we would have known - #1: the walk down to the beach is fairly steep, not horrible but definitely worth mentioning. This is a bluff house situation. #2: you can't safely access the beach! This was probably the biggest surprise and letdown to us as we really were looking forward to the privacy of "our own beach", there is a jaw-dropping amount of drift wood - awesome to look at but blocks the access point. Maybe at one point it was easily accessible but there was no safe way to get the dog and child down there... we packed up the car and drove up to the busy beach at Kalaloch lodge. Not exactly what we splurged for. The house was nice and clean and we enjoyed bumping into the caretakers (we were early), they were very friendly! 5 stars for the house and fire pit, 2 stars for the lack of beach access.

Owner's Response: Yes, Seacrest is a high bluff property. We are sorry you experienced a unexpected walk on the beach as we take much pride in giving our guests a wonderful relaxing getaway. As you state, it is a short trek down the road and difficult to cross the massive span of driftwood( gaint logs) that are constantly washed ashore. Maintaining an ocean walkway is a constant problem and always a work in progress as Mother Nature is having her way. Since your visit, our walkway through the driftwood has once again been repaired and hopefully will remain doable for awhile, until the next storm. Then again, we will be repairing the damage of the Seas. The Staff of Seacrest Coastal Cabins

Great view, Clean, well stocked, comfortable beds, fire pit and short walk to driftwood beach.

  • 5 of 5

This cabin was super comfortable for 4 adults and 2 teenagers. Kitchen was well stocked with basic items. Loved the firepit and chopping wood was fun for the kids. The beach isn't sandy, it is a driftwood beach that might be harder for older people to navigate, but super fun for kids/adults. Location is only a couple of miles away from Beach 1, which is lovely, sandy, burl spruce trail is pretty and lots of eagles soaring overhead. Only 3.7 miles away is Kalaloch beach which is our usual place we stay, but this cozy cabin held our whole family with more than enough room. Beds were super comfortable but the loft futon and sofa were not. Plenty of blankets/pillows. The view of the beach from the porch was pretty. There was an area for a tent and another smaller cabin next door if you have a larger party. Would definitely stay here again!
