Relax and recharge in the natural beauty of this quiet haven which offers 3 private bedrooms (2 downstairs and 1 upstairs) with queen size beds, a full kitchen, 1-1/2 bathrooms, and additional sleeping accommodations in the upstairs loft (a double hide-a-bed and an extra mattress for the kids). It’s an ideal vacation home for families as the cabin can sleep up to 10 people. (*Please see our other listing, Property #740405 to view our smaller 2-bedroom cabin which sleeps up to 8 people—perfect for a couples’ getaway, or rent both cabins for your next family reunion!)
Upstairs you will find a small balcony for you to pop outside for a quick breath of fresh air or savor your morning coffee. The kitchen has all the modern conveniences of home including a dishwasher, electric oven and gas stovetop, microwave oven, and plenty of counter space and cabinets. There is even a washer and dryer in the unit for your convenience. A comfortable sitting area by the free standing propane fireplace is the perfect place to sit and read your favorite book, write a poem or play some board games. Open the sliding door to hear the soothing sounds of the waves in the distance. There is a yard out front to play in, so bring a ball, frisbee, or whatever your favorite outdoor game is! And after your day’s adventures, relax and enjoy an outdoor evening meal on the covered deck.
If you are an explorer at heart, you will not be disappointed! There are so many interesting places to discover on the property. The pristine wilderness surrounding the cabin is an endless playground and the driftwood-lined beach alone is worth the entire trip out here. Stunning and ever changing, you will be captivated by the wild beauty of Washington’s rugged coastline. Bring along your favorite bottle of wine to share with that special someone as the amazing ocean sunsets will inspire romance in even the most cynical of hearts. The trail to the beach is just a short downhill walk from the cabin, with a fresh water pond along the way. Make sure you check for wild strawberries—they are delicious in June! Did you know that Kalaloch is famous for its razor clams? Our cabin is a great place to set up your clam-digging headquarters during the October-May clamming season! For you outdoor enthusiasts and avid hikers, you will find plenty of trails to hike in the area--check out the Olympic National Parks website for trail guides (http://www.nps.gov/olym/planyourvisit/trail-guide.htm). In the nearby vicinity of the cabin, a short hike north takes you to the Olympic National Park boundary near South Beach Campground, or hike over to Kalaloch Lodge at low tide for some yummy hot cocoa and a delicious meal.
So come visit us and get away from it all…and don’t forget to bring your camera—the scenery will knock your socks off!!
