Esta maravillosa vista al mar condominio es perfecto para escapadas románticas o vacaciones familiares llenas de diversión. Se encuentra a pocos pasos de la playa en el popular Kiahuna Plantation Resort en Poipu Beach en la costa sur de Kauai. Pase unos días tomando el sol en el césped, la construcción de castillos de arena en la playa, la lectura de su libro favorito o chapoteando en las cálidas aguas de Hawai. Esta unidad de esquina (# 177) tiene un dormitorio, un baño y está en la planta superior de un edificio de dos pisos. This was our second visit to Kauai. Our first visit was 15 years ago and we stayed in this exact condo. We liked this unit so much we seeked it out, and this visit was as memorable as our first. The unit was as we remember it, was clean and comfortable, with a great view of the property and good loction to see the sights.

Condo is in a perfect location. We really enjoyed the close beach and restaurants. Lots of storage room and extras like beach chairs and snorkels were great.Only negatives were limited shower water pressure which made it really hard for me to get hair clean and rinsed and lack of non stick pans. I really had a hard time making breakfast but still appreciated having so many kitchen amenities. Thank you

One of our favorite places in the world to stay

We have been to Kauai 6 times, and this is our third stay at Kiahuna. All of the units are pretty much the same; we have stayed on the second floor units for the privacy and some views. This is by far the best. It has been updated with a very nice bathroom and kitchen. As others have noted, there are no elevators, so you will be climbing 18 stairs each time you come back, with luggage or groceries. But the privacy and the view are worth it! Our only complaint is parking. The parking area has 10 regular slots and 2 handicap slots. Per the map this 12-slot parking area serves 28 units. We were lucky and only had to park up the hill away from our unit a few times. If you have load of luggage or groceries it's easy to drop off and come back. The sunsets from the beach and the beauty of the whole area would make up for about anything !

Lovely Condo at the Outrigger Poipu Resort

This condo worked perfectly for us during our recent one week stay. The view from the balcony was gorgeous. The unit was comfortable for the two of us. The king size bed was firm and terrific. We figured out how to setup the A/C (mini split) in the living room and two strategically placed fans to direct the cold air into the bedroom at night. It worked great. The igloo cooler was super handy for outings, as were the umbrella and chairs. The frig has a Brita filter so your drinking water will taste great. Thank you to our host, Karen, for a great stay.

As advertised

Our stay was everything we expected. We have stayed at Kiahuna and all the properties are different. Many have no views if the ocean and are a decent walk away. This was front and center- unobstructed view of the water and the main lawn area with a second level view. No surprises inside. I’m sure there are more modern and updated units but it was perfect for us with an adequate kitchen and some nice included amenities like outdoor chairs and umbrellas and boogie boards. Hope we can stay here again!

Beautiful place to stay

Beautiful and comfortable. Great view. Kiahuna Plantation is our favorite place to stay on Kauai, and this unit is now at the top of our list of favorite units. We especially appreciated the beach chairs and such in the closet as well as all the hooks throughout! That is a detail often overlooked in rentals, but much needed! We would happily stay in this unit again. Highly recommend!

Absolutely loved our stay! This condo is beautiful and had all the ammenties we needed! It's in a perfect location with an awesome view of the ocean and gets a wonderful breeze! We've stayed in Castle or Outrigger Plantation every year and this condo is a fave. 💞

Nice stay

The unit had beautiful ocean views and the location was a 1-2 minute walk to the beach and an easy walk to shops and restaurants. The larger property was very well maintained and had large grass lawns, BBQ's, and a beach hut, and never felt crowded. The only downsides were 2nd floor location with no elevators and no air-conditioning (however, the windows provided nice breezes during our stay). The owner Karen was very responsive.

Welcome to our Kiahuna property, unit #177. This unit is actually owned by parents, Bill and Carol McDade (This listing is managed by myself, their daughter, Karen). They are the original owners of the unit and have taken very special pride in their ownership over the years, and love sharing it with others.
The below information is from my parents heart and soul regarding this very special place.

"We have always lived in proximity to the ocean. First in Seattle, Washington and now for some 50 years in San Diego, California. Salt air and ocean breezes have been a part of our entire life and our children and grandchildren have embraced this love also.

We never tire of visiting Kauai and making 'first tracks' on the sandy beach in the morning, playing games with our family on the front lawn and swimming in the warm Hawaiian waters. Evenings are just as special as we watch the sunset from the lawn and beach with a special beverage or while eating by candlelight on our lanai as the moon beams shine on the neighboring palm trees.

Kiahuna means 'special place' and we think our unit will become a special place for you and your family too."

We first visited Poipu Beach, Kauai in the 1960s and fell in love with the beauty of the Island and the wonderful safe beaches for our children to play on and swim and most of all the relaxing family atmosphere that permeates throughout the Kiahuna Plantation. It has the beauty and ambience of 'old Hawaii', safe beaches and a relaxing family atmosphere unlike any place we had ever visited.

We purchased our unit #177 in 1980 and have been returning ever since with our children and now our grandchildren. We have celebrated many special family birthdays and weddings in this very special place.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

Our unit is an upstairs, corner unit cooled by the ever present trade winds, and fronts the large expanse of lawn just behind the beach. It has a full ocean view through the palm trees and is only 50 yards to the sandy beach. It is within walking distance to several restaurants and shops and the swimming pool and tennis court facilities.

Kiahuna is located on the South shore of Kauai on Poipu Beach. This side of the island has more sunshine and warm days than other parts of the Island. In fact the locals always say, 'It's always sunny on the South side!'

Poipu Beach consists of some 5 separate coves of beach each suited to different forms of water activity including body surfing and boogie boarding, snorkeling, and quiet shallow water for small children. The cove in front of Kiahuna Plantation is the largest and is great for swimming, snorkeling, jumping the waves and taking surfing lessons. Of course you can also just sit on the beach with a good book and work on your tan! There is something for everyone here.
