Anna Maria Island: Rare Historic Beachfront Cottage (Duplex) - parfait pour 2-4

Bienvenue dans notre chalet! Si vous cherchez un endroit simple, calme et sans stress pour profiter de la plage, c'est tout. Ce n'est pas un condo de luxe - pas de longs couloirs, un parking éloigné, des ascenseurs ou des foules - et il n'y a pas de rues à traverser pour atteindre la plage. Le chalet est un duplex, et cette liste est pour le plus grand côté. VRBO # 327896 vous montrera le petit côté. Les deux côtés partagent un porche grillagé face à la plage.

Le chalet a été construit en 1912 ou plus, comme maison de gardien pour une maison plus grande qui a maintenant disparu. Il a été soigneusement entretenu et mis à jour, mais a conservé le charme d'une époque révolue.

Les murs intérieurs sont en pin cœur, tout comme les sols, remis à la main. Le mobilier a été choisi pour le confort: un fauteuil inclinable en rotin et un canapé-lit assorti dans le salon, une table à manger avec des feuilles (au cas où vous souhaiteriez avoir un invité ou deux pour le dîner) et un lit king-size dans la chambre.

Le chalet est ombragé par d'anciens pins australiens et dispose d'un porche grillagé partagé confortable pour une vue au premier rang des couchers de soleil et des étoiles. Avec les fenêtres ouvertes la nuit, vous pouvez entendre le surf!

Sortez directement de la porte de la véranda et descendez jusqu'à la plage - pas de rues à traverser. Ou, asseyez-vous sur la terrasse et savourez votre café et votre journal, ou vos cocktails. Nos clients nous disent que la meilleure partie de la terrasse (en plus de la vue) est sa taille - beaucoup d'espace pour s'étendre.

Nous sommes situés à un pâté de maisons du Cafe on the Beach, pratique pour les petits-déjeuners de crêpes à volonté, les déjeuners rapides et les dîners relaxants. L'aire de jeux en bord de mer est à un pâté de maisons et demi. Prenez le chariot gratuit et découvrez le reste de l'île.

Excellent location with a fantastic host! My son and his friend and I had a wonderful stay at Alice’s bungalow. It’s not big or fancy but very practical and lots of personal touches - all the pots and pans and plates etc, comfortable bed, good hot shower, plenty of bath and beach towels, beach equipment and the sunsets! It’s also about a 3 minute walk to the public beach area that has a cafe and a huge parking lot and other amenities. We would stay again in a heartbeat. Don’t forget your own olive oil, salt and coffee if you plan to cook and make your own coffee.

The property is right on the beach on Anna Marie Island. The bed was comfortable and the sunsets were beautiful. We really enjoyed our stay.

Hi! Our family has owned this property since 1971. My grandparents built it as their retirement home, and now it belongs to us. My mom, Gladys, is on the left in this photo, and that's me, Alice, on the right. Mom passed away in 2014, but her spirit of hospitality continues. I live up in Tampa, and visit during the week with my husband and family.

Our family chose to purchase the Cottage because there was no way we could resist! The property is huge, and has the most magnificent view of the beach, especially at sunset, and of course, we loved the neighbors (my grandparents). We live in Tampa, but visit the Island every weekend, and it is a quick trip, about an hour. The Island has an unspoiled small-town charm--like Mayberry but with sand and sun! No matter how short your stay on the Island, it will refresh your spirit.

Our cottage offers simple peace and quiet, with sunny or shady spots on the patios facing the beach. The patios are nestled in a native Florida meadow, complete with blanket flowers, railroad vine, and sea oats-- it's a trip to the past, when life was much simpler. When families visit, the patio area is a favorite of the older crowd, since it offers a mix of sun and shade, with a magnificent view of the beach.

The screened porch is a great place for morning coffee and the newspaper, afternoon snacks, or evening refreshments.
