About Michelle Linquist

We spent 3 years looking for the Skyline House. The view of Seattle and Mt. Rainier stole our hearts during our dating years and we just never tire of the area. It's heaven on earth for nature lovers! We hope to someday retire on BI and spend every minute here! In the meantime, we enjoy sharing this wonderful peaceful home with fellow vacationers.

Michelle,

We loved staying at your home. The unpredictable Northwest weather awarded us with sunrise views of Mt Rainier, Baker and Cascades, as well as reflections

of 🌅 sunsets. My guests and I had a superb visit and the Californians were amazed and astonished by your home, weather, views and gorgeous fall color. Thanks for your hospitality.

A gorgeous home with a stunning view-- a perfect vacation setting!

  • 5 of 5

This home took our breath away from the moment we set foot inside it. The sweeping views of Seattle and Mt. Rainier first caught our eye, but once we changed focus to our new, immaculate surroundings, we wished we could stay forever. Michelle and Todd have thought of everything down to the tiniest of details. We had our two year old with us, and it's really the perfect home for a family with kids of any age. (The bunk beds were a huge hit with him!) The kitchen had every appliance we could dream of, the bathrooms were fully stocked with wonderful amenities, including a towel warmer in the master bath! The king bed in the master bedroom is incredibly comfortable, and the high-end laundry room was so convenient. (We were particularly enthralled with the cabinet where you could store clean towels in the laundry room and access them in the bathroom! Brilliant!) We spent a lot of time playing in the huge backyard, and our son adored the play set back there. It was hard to ever leave the house; who would want to with views like that and such a level of comfort! But most of all, it's clear that this house is owned by people who truly care, a family filled with love, and one who desires each of their tenants to feel that warmth and love while they enjoy their vacation. Who could ask for more?

Owner's Response: Dear Lisa, Your review brought tears to my eyes...even my husband said "what a kind and touching review!" To hear that our efforts have helped make such a wonderful vacation for you and your family, the fact that you could tell that it's so important to us, is so rewarding. And the precious video of your little one saying goodbye to the carved bears out front is too adorable and priceless! You all were such wonderful guests...We can't wait for your return visit! Thank you so much for allowing us to host you all at the Skyline House! We wish you a wonderful year filled with even more unforgettable memories and blessings! Sincerely, Michelle Linquist P.S. Please tell your husband we loved his review too:) We know it takes time out of busy schedules to leave them and we greatly appreciate it!

Wonderful waterfront home

The minute we opened the front door and saw the amazing view, we were thrilled to stay in this lovely home. There’s lots of great outdoor space, and our granddaughter really enjoyed the slide.

Great property with all the amenities.

  • 5 of 5

Our group of 3 had a work trip in Seattle and decided to stay here rather than get stuffy hotel rooms in Seattle. Each day we looked forward to getting back to the house and relaxing. We saw black tail deer in the yard almost every morning. The weather was absolutely perfect and we really enjoyed use of the house. The owners were very attentive and it was a great experience; highly recommended!

Wonderful adventure and jam packed family fun trip!

  • 5 of 5

Perfect house, perfect location! We are a family of 5 and chose Bainbridge Island because it was right in the middle of all we wanted to accomplish during our adventure to the Pacific Northwest. We arrived at the house well past midnight and opening the front door and being greeted by the lit up Seattle skyline was amazing! I woke up early the next morning and took my coffee and a blanket out to the porch swing and watched the ferries come and go as Seattle woke up! With in minutes deer were walking past me and a bald eagle flew by!

Day 1- we took the ferry to Seattle which is free for pedestrians going to Seattle and a few buck to return. We did Pikes Market and just hung around the city for a few hours before taking the 30 min ferry back to Bainbridge.

Day 2- Drove to the Olympic National Park and did some hiking.

Day 3- We got up super early and drove to Port Angeles (1.5 hours) and took the ferry to Victoria BC for some whale watching! We left our car in Port Angeles and found Victoria to a very walkable city.

Day 4- Ferry back to Port Angeles and back to a different part of Olympic Park for more hiking.

Day 5- Let the kids sleep in. I read an entire book sitting in the lounge chair looking out at Seattle and did some day dreaming watching boats cruising and the birds flying over the sound. Then we went "downtown" BI which is less that 2 miles away and ate and drank and walked around exploring the cute shops.

Day 6- back to Seattle on the ferry. Toured U of W, Nordstrom, Lake Union, Amazon...

Day 7- We packed up and took the car on the ferry back to Seattle for the first time which was easy and fun! We drove 50 miles north to Franklin Falls and then hit Snoqualmie Falls as we made our way back to Seatac.

The house had everything we needed to cook dinners and stay warm by the fireplace. The upstairs bedrooms were very comfortable, plenty of hot water, towels, pillows and the internet connection was great. The downstairs bedroom had a sofa bed so my kids opted to all stay in the upstairs bedroom and there was plenty of room. The market is an amazing grocery store that also has plenty of prepared meals if cooking on vacation isn't your thing. Great wine too! Very comfortable home and EXCEPTIONAL CARE FROM THE OWNERS who take making you comfortable very seriously! Thank you for allowing us to experience your part of the world!! Looking out my back windows will never be the same knowing what you see looking out yours!

Unbelievable home and views!

  • 5 of 5

We loved the views from this amazing home. The living room, backyard, porch, kitchen, and nook, all provided for fabulous family time, with the amazing view of the sound and Seattle to constantly look at. We didn't turn on the TV once, or go out to dinner - because the view was so spectacular, we couldn't leave it!

Michelle was incredibly attentive too. We had a slight issue with the refrigerator when we got to the house, and we had someone to look at it within an hour. She kept in touch with us via email throughout the weekend to help address any questions, she was so helpful and gracious!

The only thing that would have been better is having a queen sized bed in the lower level. That would be a nice addition, but the pullout was comfortable as well. Overall a great Easter weekend on Bainbridge!

Well-appointed, comfortable home with unbeatable views of Downtown Seattle.

  • 5 of 5

We had a fantastic stay at the Skyline House! It was everything we could have hoped for in a vacation rental. An easy drive from the ferry, nice quiet area, and amazing views. The house itself had everything we needed. It was warm, cozy and inviting. Michelle was fantastic and very easy to work with. She truly cared about us and made sure she did everything to make our stay pleasant. I would only put one thing out for consideration. The house only has two "real" beds (the master king and bunk beds). The other two available beds in the house are sofa sleepers which were fine but true beds would have been preferred. Overall I would very highly recommend the Skyline House. We spent a very special Christmas there and it felt like home. Now we just need to figure out how we can get back for another vacation. If we can, we will book this house again in a heartbeat!

Enjoy the outdoor sport court with basketball goal, swing set in the backyard or just sit by the high bank water's edge under the cover of the peaceful belvedere. Guests can also enjoy seating on the back porch or porch swing that has breathtaking water and mountain views!

And, for the griller in your family the view while grilling on the 5 burner grill (includes sear and side burner options for cooking) placed just outside the kitchen for convenience will never disappoint!

Just minutes from the Bainbridge ferry and downtown Bainbridge, fine dinners, shopping, outings with little ones to the park or water are endless. Heart and Soul, a wonderful pottery shop that provides endless fun times of pottery painting or fusing glass with little ones, also provides a parent's night out opportunity on select Saturdays.

Our favorite restaurants include Cafe Nola, Hitchcock's and Streamliner Cafe. Westside Pizza is great for a pizza night delivery!
