The flat is comfortable, clean, quiet. The owners are helpful and easy to reach when needed (we had travel delays and it was no problem to change our arrival time). The beds are comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped, the bathrooms are modern and clean. Great location as well.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

My wife and I stayed here while in Paris for our anniversary over New Year's. The flat is very comfortable, impeccably clean and is located perfectly. The housekeeper who greets you is fabulous and the owners are extremely helpful and kind (bottle of champagne waiting for us!). The galley kitchen is more than adequate to cook breakfast or a quick meal. The water pressure in the bathroom is great. Totally quiet as on the inner courtyard. 1st floor (2nd in the US) means only one flight of stairs. Neighborhood is awesome with le Comptoir de Relais St Germain (must eat here) 20 mts down toward Blvd St Germain and lots of other good options close by. St Andre des Arts and Rue Buci are a five minute walk (grocer, bakery, etc all right there). Best vacation we have ever taken made better by staying in this fantastic flat. Merci, Mme B-D!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway.

I am the adult "daughter" who did the research to locate an area where my mother and I would stay during our visit to Paris. It took a lot of thought as to where we would most enjoy our stay and this location was perfect! My mother has not stopped talking about how much she loved St Germain Des Pres. We took the Metro from Aeroport Charles de Gaulle. (There are two RER stations in Charles de Gaulle airport: Aéroport Charles de Gaulle 1: Terminals 1 and 3 and Aéroport Charles de Gaulle 2: Terminal 2 and TGV train) Since it took a bit of research, I will add the following (public transportation, it is cheap and easy): •Metro: Odeon, lines 4 and 10 RER B: Saint-Michel IPhon •train station: Gare d`Austerlitz - or- Gare Montparnasse The Metro station is very close to the apartment, and my mother (who is a healthy 72 year old) and I were able to roll our luggage to the apartment . Women may have to ask a stranger for assistance on a stairway, but the locals are incredibly nice despite what some may say. A smile and thank you is all you need. :) Although Francine the owner was unable to meet us; her communication via telephone and email was amazing. Francine arranged for her housekeeper 'Luzia' to meet us on arrival and introduce us to the apartment and its amenities. (Be sure to have Luzia show you how to operate all doors and keys, because for this American it would have been tricky without her review of them). The apartment: The listing of amenities and photos are accurate. The property is clean and well-maintained. It has been noted by other travelers that the location of the shower is through the bedroom. This may cause problems among a mixed group of friends, but for my mother and I it worked out well. The beds were comfortable. We had asked for a two 'twin' bed setup, but when we arrived it was made as a 'Queen". We were able to break the bed apart, and dress the beds with the extra sheets available in the aparment. We didn't use the sofa bed, but we did pull it out and it looked and felt comfortable. We decided not to use the sofa bed so in the case one of us wanted to sleep in we could use the living room to lounge. We did use the kitchen to prepare some meals, and it had everything we needed as far as utensils, plates and cutlery. We did not use the washer because we did not see a dryer. It could have been an all-in-one, but my mom and I did not pursue the instructions. The wireless worked. The TV was French. Comfortable. We would stay again!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, girls getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: thanks for this positive opinion. I just want to say the TV is not only a French one, but you could get anyone in English, American, German, Italian, and so on. The washer is a dryer too (a notice in English is in the "welcome book". I hope to receive you again.

This was our first online vacation rental, so I would begin by saying we got exactly what the owners advertised. The photos are accurate and the description is in no way exaggerated. So, if you want to be steps from the Blvd SGDP and Jardins Luxembourg, this apartment is perfect. The location is really ideal as metro and RER stations are very close, bus lines run nearby and you can easily walk to the Ile de la Cite, Louvre, Odeon and Sorbonne. Cafes (both au courant and standard), boutiques, markets and even Starbucks are within blocks. In all, it is a very comfortable apartment. The bed is very satisfactory (for us, medium firm) and the furnishings all met our needs. Kitchen is bright and clean. Bathroom is very modern. The caretaker lives in the building and was very responsive when a circuit popped (fixed easily) and we needed extra towels. Wifi works, fridge is cold, water is hot, building is quiet. This is a place to which we look forward to returning!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, sightseeing, romantic getaway.
Owner response: Many thanks for your positive opinion. I hope to welcome you again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this charming apartment. The booking, logistics, directions, etc., were made so easy by Francine, the owner. She was available and quickly responsive to all of my questions leading up to the trip. When we arrived, we were greeted by the guardien, Luzia, who gave us a tour of the apartment and made sure everything was in working order. The apartment was very clean and ready for our use. The apartment's location was perfect...quiet street with easy walking access to restuarants, shopping, museums, and all the many wonderful sights of Paris (also conveniently located near a Metro stop)! There was also WiFi available in the apartment as well as a great guide of the city with restaurant recommendations, apartment instructions, bus schedules, metro schedules, etc. - very helpful throughout our stay! This was my first experience with VRBO, and it was very positive!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, romantic getaway.
Owner response: many thanks about this so positive review. We always try to do our best to make our guests feel "at home" and come back with pleasure for their next stay in Paris

We stayed at the apartment eight days. First of all the apartment was just like the photos on the internet - except it felt more spacious. And it was really nice having the separate dining room. The location was superb; easy for buses (we don't use the metro)and in a very active upscale area which felt safe and comfortable at all hours---yet the street the apartment is on is quiet. It's a treat to stay in an apatment - feels much nicer than staying at a hotel. Very nice working with the owners and dealing with them. We had no problems at all. Plus we had eight days of lovely weather!Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

Having stayed in many Parisian apartments, this one was by far the best. It is obvious that the owner (who is absolutely lovely) really cares about the place. It's beautifully decorated, has very comfortable furniture and was clean as a whistle. The Guardienne was extremely friendly, even though I got in very late and one day locked myself out of the apartment....that's another story! The owner has made a very informative booklet about the area, where to eat, etc. And I adore this area of Paris. Close to great restaurants and cafes and amazing shopping, yet tucked away on a quiet street. I will definitely return!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, girls getaway, sightseeing, romantic getaway.
Owner response: This apartment is our favorite place when we come in Paris, so it's very personnal and friendly as we like to be with all people coming in. The booklet seems to be useful: it was difficult to prepare it -in english- informative and complete : thanks for the compliments.

My daughter and I spent 6 nights in this lovely apartment, much too short of a stay! I can't say enough about the location, the apartment itself and of course, Paris. The apartment was comfortable, quiet and included everything you need for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. The location is magnificent, walking distance to most sights, great shopping and cafes. For my return trip to Paris, which is a must, I will be staying in this beautiful apartment. Life is too long not to! Au revoir!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, girls getaway, sightseeing, romantic getaway.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2006
About the owner: We are retired managers. We live in the South of France, close to Nice. We like to travel around the world, opera, classical music, theater, archeology. If our visitors come in the South of France, we will gladly meet Nous sommes des gestionnaires à la retraite.
Why the Owner Chose Paris Arrondissement 6:
This is where we lived when we were students. St Germain des Prés is the place most lively and the most 'fun' of Paris.
We bought this apartment, not to praise him, but to live when we come to Paris. It is therefore arranged for us, with all due care.
The Unique Benefits at this Apartment:
5 minutes to go to the theater or one of the 13 cinemas closed to, and then, even late at night, anywhere they can find restaurants open.
15 bus lines no more than 100m from the apartment to go everywhere in Paris (I give you the plans in thé 'welcome book' to find how to go where you want)
2 metro lines at 50m, à 3rd one (direct to Roissy AirPort) at 150m
Shopping, shopping, shopping ... and the place is so alive, at any time of day, even at night ... but the apartment is so quiet!
