We rented this house for a girl's weekend get away. We really enjoyed our stay here! The farm house was exactly like the photos. It was very clean and very charming. As an added bonus, we got to meet the owner and learned a little history about the house. Saturday morning we got to see deer in the field and the horses were always a welcoming site first thing in the morning as you can see them from the kitchen window. I wish I had that view at home!!! The farm house is a BEAUTIFUL PLACE and we will be staying there again soon!

It is an excellent place to go for a vacation or getaway. The cabin was located near everything that you needed, When we got to the cabin it looked just like the pictures, we were very pleased with the feel of home that we experienced. It was very clean. I would recommend this cabin to all of our friends. We went to the Biltmore Estate which was close enough and the Grove Park Inn.
Owner response:Thanks for the kind review. We really appreciate it!! We hope you have a Merry Christmas!! Julie and the gang @ O'Kelley's Farmhouse

7/24/10-8/02/10 Summer Vacation!!! 10 days in Asheville NC well spent with the O'Kelleys at their farm house! We go to the mountains every year and this is the best place my family has stayed. I thank the O’Kelley family for putting so much love into this beautiful farm so my family and I could enjoy all the antiques and history that came with it. The air smelled so sweet and clean! Every morning we were blessed with 2 wonderful horses Nisa and Rose. Every evening the Fire-flies literally lit up the sky! The deer greeted us at a distance under the apple tree! And the bunny's loved to run the corn field and what wonderful sweet corn it was. My two teenage girls loved the swing in front of the farmhouse! We went crawdad fishing in the creek and I would have to say they do taste like lobster. Went hiking near the farmhouse and saw some unique rock formations that previous people made. There was so much to do just around the farmhouse. But we did adventure to Asheville especially to Bele Chere Festival. We also visited Mt. Pisgah and had dinner at Mt. Pisgah inn. We visited sliding rock, the 60’ natural rock slide with a 8 foot natural deep pool at the base. Looking glass falls, Maggie Valley, Brevard and Transylvania county, and last but not least Gatlinburg, TN. I can not wait until our next family vacation we have found our home away from home…

We love the O'Kelley Farm. Spent Valentine's Day weekend at the farmhouse surrounded by snow. The house is so comfortable, the property beautiful, and the owners are very gracious hosts. We'll be back soon!

Thank you so much for providing us with the perfect getaway. Chris celebrated his 35th birthday this weekend and it will certainly be one of his most memorable to date. The house is so charming and I love the decor! Chris loved the front porch and rocking chairs, as well as the swing out by the grills. We loved getting to see the horse. Our only disappointment was not getting to meet "Peck". ( But it was nice to sleep in!) Asheville has long been our favorite weekend getaway, and now we have a favortie place to stay. We will be back soon! Ann & Chris , Charlotte, N.C.

We loved the old Farmhouse. It has a unique charm like no other place we have ever seen. It was a refreshing change from the hustle and bustle that we are used to. We enjoyed the horses and the rooster "Peck" . Thank you so much for allowing us this memorable experience and sharing your family's homeplace with us. The Martins

Our family stayed at the farm house during the 2008 Christmas Holiday. We can not begin to express our delight as we walked into the house. Every room was warmly and invitingly decorated! There was even a fully decorated Christmas tree! We were in need of nothing, except to enjoy the house and land. Our children enjoyed the nearby horses and rooster. I and my husband relaxed and just enjoyed being a family and time to be with our family. Thank you so much for the most wonderful Christmas...... we have voted,as a family, as being the BEST CHRISTMAS we have ever had....Thank you for the experience of staying at your cabin, we would recommend it to anyone.
