Come south and stay in this beautiful new beachfront flat. Located directly on the beach in Punta de Mita (we’re just ten feet from the high water) it is 25 miles northwest of Puerto Vallarta at the northern tip of Banderas Bay. Our weather is consistently pleasant. Enjoy the spectacular, unrestricted south-facing views of Banderas Bay and the beautiful Marietta Islands from the spacious terrace. Just an elevator ride away is an infinity pool surrounded by lush landscaping, a shade palapa, Jacuzzi, and an outdoor barbecue area for your enjoyment. The 2300 square foot condominium offers all the amenities to make your stay memorable.
This flat is clean & sunny with an open floor plan. It has stainless steel appliances and granite and marble throughout. The kitchen is fully equipped to handle the needs of any chef. Safe, ultraviolet purified water is at the kitchen tap. Amenities include a private elevator opening directly into the living room, gourmet kitchen accessories, laundry room, high speed Internet, and air conditioning in a contemporary Mexican decor. This 2-bedroom/2-bath condo is one of only 12 units in two towers; it occupies an entire fifth floor and has expansive ocean views from every room.
The locality has a nice mix of both northern and Mexican culture. There is a small Mexican grocery store across the street that will meet your basic needs and a fantastic local Fisherman's Coop a short walk down the playa. Several wonderful oceanfront restaurants, ranging from upscale Cafe des Artiste to classic Italian to traditional palapa mexican/seafood fare. Sayulita, aka Surf City Mexico, is just down the road. Its a town really full of young folks, shops, live music, and constant goings-on.
A number of spectacular surf spots are within immediate proximity. In fact, you can often watch the action right from our lanai. Breaks range from beginner to expert level, and folks seem to always share the waves around here. Surfboard or paddle board rental and instruction are nearby. For golfers, we are close to two fabulous Jack Nicklaus tracts in the Four Seasons Resort. Golf Digest rated the first layout #1 Resort course in the world! Also in the area are seven others by Nicklaus, Tom Weiskoff, or Greg Norman with prices that make Cabo golf seem ridiculous. Bicycle rentals are available and you can ride them right down along the beach if you like.
There are also locally guided sport fishing pangas, whale watching, sailingand snorkeling trips just a short walk away. It’s common to see dolphins, turtles, and even giant manta rays in the sea nearby. J/World Sailing School can bring you to expert level in one week! Horseback riding excursions and jungle canopy tours are available.
If you prefer to just enjoy the simple life, you can walk for miles on Playa Punta Mita or sit by the pool, and get a tan. Muy Tranquilo!

Why the Owner Chose Punta de Mita (Punta Mita)
It so nice to get up at a normal hour in the states, get on a plane, and end up on a warm, Mexican beach in the afternoon. Its just so easy. Our family has traveled together to this region since the early 1980s and we love it. The community here is a nice mix of all cultures, and there's always someone to talk to, whether its in English or Spanish, or a bit of both. Some of us regularly get up early for a pre-dawn walk on the Playa, which can go literally for miles, if you wish, without crossing road or river. We meet others in the same daily routine.
We joined the group Amigos de Playa Punta Mita, amigosdeplayapuntamita@gmail.com, which part of a great organization called PEACE MEXICO. We're very proud to know these people and help support them. These cool folks bring the local school kids to regularly clean the beach, changing the basura culture from the bottom up. They promote recycling plastics, establish animal shelters and spay/neuter clinics, provide a women's shelter, and enhance the local culture and community culture in many different ways. The Unique Benefits at this Condominium
Take a bus or a taxi to us and you won't need a car at all. Lots of clean/simple/fancy restaurants within walking distance; its a very safe place and we walk the beach even at night without any problems. One step from the pool/BBQ area to the beach, which is gentle and low sloped so the kids just love it. We are the entire fifth floor of a six story tower; its more private and with much better views than lower units. We also charge a bit less, if you notice. El Faro Real I is a well managed, twelve unit project and its never very crowded here.
The large south-facing lanai gets dawn sun and is well sheltered from the prevailing afternoon winds. We very seldom use the air conditioning in the winter months; its very comfortable just by opening a north window a bit. I like watching the surfers from the lanai or the yachts sail up and drop anchor. On our our land-based VHF you can call to them or listen to whats happening with the sailors and ex-pats on the "net" every morning. We also get safe, clean water right at the tap in our kitchen from our private UV unit, so no worries there.

This unit is owned by a family. We are three generations from Lake Tahoe. We enjoy skiing, sailing, hiking, and cooking and eating together. Playa Punta Mita provides a wonderful balance with the snowy Tahoe winters and an opportunity to do all the things we love together.
