Accommodations: Condo, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 2 Baths (Sleeps 6)
Keywords: Condominium on Playa Punta de Mita, water's edge
Our rates are the lowest for the nicest! Freshly remodeled with new furniture, we occupy an entire upper floor in the least crowded condominium complex at Playa Punta Mita. Only twelve units here! Its so quiet here, we hear only the waves all night long.
If you don't want dozens of units wrapped around a lawn or a pool, or a bridge over a loud street between you and the beach bars and beach, this place is for you. You won't be disappointed.
Our condo offers completely vast, unobstructed ocean views, with fresh breezes only available this high up. One step from the sixty foot lap pool area to the beach. The ocean in front stays shallow with a sandy bottom, perfect for swimming and kids' play. Bigger waves usually break just 100 yards out.
On the fifth floor we have no walkers-by, sunbathers, BBQers, or pool party out front. Leave the curtains open to the ocean all day and all night long! This unit is much more private, much more quiet, the air up here is much fresher, and yet our rates are the lowest. A private elevator can easily take you from inside our unit to any level.
Our view of Banderas Bay is really spectacular. In winter months, the tropical blue water offers daily sightings of whales courting and calving. You can watch the surfers out front tearing it up, pelicans diving, local marineros plying the reef, sailing yachts tacking into the anchorage, or simply the sea's changing pallete between Vallarta and the nearby Marietta Islands .
Children? We like 'em and are ready for yours. We have youth books, toy trucks, inflatable pool toys, boogie boards, and unbreakable dinnerware. Pak 'n Play, high chair on request.
Our condo is no smoking and no pets, please. Its very clean & sunny with an open floor plan and a modern Mexican, minimalist decor. There are top end stainless steel appliances, granite and marble throughout; the kitchen is fully equipped, with high end kitchenware, lots of stuff like a blender, coffee grinder, coffee maker, salad spinner, and citrus juicer, sharp knives. You can really cook here if you want to. Safe, drinkable, ultraviolet and ultra carbon filtered water is right at the kitchen tap.
Bedrooms have incense cedar bureaus topped with marble, the guest bedroom converts from king bed to twins if you desire; there is a full laundry room and high speed internet, with a loaded iMac on site. This two bedroom, two full bath condo is bigger than most comparable condos, 2300 square feet, and the two living room sofas are the size of twin beds.
The town has a nice cultural mix. Its very safe here. "Restaurant Row" is five minutes down the beach, including classic Mexican seafood palapa cuisine, Italian, plus a number of upscale, top end restaurants, even a couple of bluesy nightspots. A small Mexican grocery store across the street offers everything from tequila to local yogurt, and a fantastic local fisherman's cooperativa is close by.
Punta Mita is a surfers paradise: Seven surf breaks are within walking distance. Breaks range from beginner to expert level, The local surf shops can help you with your rental needs as well as provide lessons. Boats are available to take you to the ideal surf spots. and you can rent surfboards or stand-up paddle boards here. The surf magazines are calling this place one of the best SUP spots on the planet.
Sometimes we just walk down Playa Punta Mita for a couple of hours or more, often starting just before dawn, and take the six peso bus back. Check out the link to the slide show of the beach. Its fantastic.
If you are into sport-fishing this area is home to trophy-size black, blue, and striped marlin, yellow-fin tuna, sailfish, dorado, rooster fish, and more. Local charters are available and easily arranged. Charter a boat to the Marietas Islands where you can snorkel in the warm waters and see numerous species of colorful reef fish. These islands are also home to several species of endangered birds.?
For golfers, we are close to two tracts in the Four Seasons Resort, including the Nicklaus layout that Golf Digest rated #1 Resort course in the world! Two miles away is Litibu, a great new Greg Norman course. Also in the Vallarta area are seven other courses, some designed by Jack Nicklaus or Tom Weiskoff, and green fees are pretty reasonable.
Locally guided sport fishing pangas, whale watching excursions, surfing trips, sailing and snorkeling at the Marietta Islands can pick you up at the beach right in front. It’s common to see dolphins, turtles, and even giant manta rays in the sea nearby. Don't miss the sunset release of hundreds of baby sea turtles at the Nuevo Vallarta Sea Turtle Preserve.
Maybe you just want to relax, enjoy the simple life, hang out by the pool and palapa. That works pretty well around here. Muy Tranquilo!
Need to keep in touch with the outside world? We offer high-speed wireless internet service, unlimited free calls to the US & Canada with a California phone number for others to call you. There is a stereo with an iPod dock, and satellite television & music. Watch our DVDs or bring your own. We even have a land-based VHF radio to communicate with boats in the anchorage out front. Daily maid or cooking services are available at a small extra cost.
By the way, our El Faro Real Condos are right on the water, right ON Playa Punta Mita, not to be confused with some nearby projects that are across the road and behind the town and call themselves "beachfront". When you visit us, you will be right ON the water.

My husband and I stayed at Jim's condo March-26 through April 2nd. The condo is beautiful and clean. Spacious and comfortable. Big kitchen--we made delicious meals almost everyday. The building was very secure--we had a big deck overlooking the ocean. Big and comfortable couches in the living room--Big bathroom with lots of closet space. There are a few small grocery stores within walking distance and restaurant row is only a 5 minute walk. We recommend Rosa Mexicano, Tinos and Margaritas. Great place for fishermen---only a five minute walk to the Marina. My husband went fishing 3 days with Capt. Lora Vasquez of Fortuna Sport Fishing. The condo is beautiful and well kept--perfect location close to everything. Jim was very nice and helpful answering our questions before and after we arrived. He made sure we had everything to make our stay pleasant and enjoyable. We are looking forward to going back to Punta Mita and staying at Jim's condo.

My family had such a great experience at this condo that we are returning this April! The condo itself is gorgeous-it's clean, spacious and comfortable. The views from pretty much every window in the place are incredible-we spent several afternoons whale watching from the balcony. I loved waking up to the sound of the waves crashing. I also loved that it was kid friendly...it really made traveling easy and smooth since I didn't have to bring so much stuff! We spent our time lounging by the pool, making delicious meals and exploring Punta de Mita, Sayulita and other surrounding towns. It was quite the perfect vacation for an amazing price. I highly recommend this place!!

We stayed in the luxury condo for one week when we decided to extend our trip. We came from staying in Sayulita area for 10 days and this was a welcome change, very quite, right on the ocean, and a very comfortable spacious condo. Having an elevator to go up and down was also very nice after walking the stairs a few times and moving groceries and luggage in and out. Being able to walk right out onto the beach or sit in the infinity pool and watch the sunset was such a treat, we definately got spoiled. The condo had everything we needed to cook and the couches and beds were more comfortable than we expected. As we were just learning to surf, this spot was perfect. On a couple days we surfed right out in front of the condo and probably the best beginner surf break in the entire area is a 5 minute walk up the beach. There is also another very fun break about a 1 mike walk down the beach (or 5 minute boat ride) which we did several times and was our favorite surf spot. All in all it was the best part of our trip and probably the best week in Mexico I have had out of the 15 times we have been to Mexico.

I have just returned from a nine day stay at this condo! I graciously write this review as we were truly in paradise and felt the genuine comforts of home south of the border. I never know what to expect from photos on hotel websites and this was my first time renting accommodations on VRBO.com. Needless to say, I was a bit weary. As soon as we set foot into the condo, my jaw dropped in joyful surprise! The azure sea is a primary focal point upon walking in. It is a full floor flat with all rooms opening onto the veranda. The condo is appointed with high end finishings and the wood used for the cabinetry is beautiful! The furniture is very modern and extremely comfortable. In fact, my husband and two friends that stayed with us, want to buy couches just like the ones shown. They were perfect for curling up and watching one of the many top-notch Dvd’s in the owners' collection. I especially appreciate the built-in water filter, as it nearly eliminated the need for us to purchase bottled water for almost the entire nine days. Think of the plastic waste we avoided! The fully stocked kitchen made it a real pleasure to cook nearly every meal we ate in Punta Mita! Not to mention, we dined al fresco on the veranda every occasion! We sourced ingredients from many of the nearby markets in the traditional Mexican village within 2 minutes walk. We found fresh chicken and eggs that would top any Whole Foods purchase for just a few dollars. Fresh mango, papaya, and avocados abound! Even though it did take a bit of searching to find the right markets, they were all very close to the condo. We felt very safe walking around the village and into town, just 5 minutes away. No car was necessary for our stay, although we did use a car service to and from the airport. We got good use out of the pool and appreciated having the option of the ocean so close. Literally, we just walked out of the gate onto the beach! The surfing is perfect for all levels within a stone’s throw away. All of these items made for the most relaxing holiday and we will be sure to return. Jim's condo is exactly the kind of place my husband and I would like to own someday!
