Secluded Cabin in Hidden Cove
Year Purchased: 2008
Why the Owner Chose Robbinsville
We love to go to our cabin to relax and just get away from everyday life. We especially enjoy our time during the Fourth of July. All of our family travels up and we cook out and go boat riding, tubing and knee boarding on Fontana Lake. The water is as clear as spring water and still refreshing in July and best of all is not crowded.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin
We love the seclusion of our cabin. We have the privacy and tranquility of sitting on the balcony, drinking our coffee and enjoying nature. Our kids also love to play in a creek located right across from our driveway.

I had a great time with my wife and two children. The cabin is very cozy. I love the fireplace and large wraparound porch. There’s enough room on the porch for a square dance! The location is very peaceful and private yet not too far out. We saw our first black bear in the wild near Lake Fontana. The Appalachian Trail is nearby and we enjoyed several day hikes. The hardwood floors and wood furniture are beautiful. I definitely recommend this cabin and the owners are very helpful and accomidating.

We spent 3 nights at the cabin on a guys motorcycle trip. From here we were able to hit all of our favorite are hot spots, The Dragon, Cherahala, NE Georgia and Smokey Mountain National Park. All of these areas are nearby and roads leading to them are awesome as well. Cabin is very comfortable and home like which is perfect for a laid back no worries getaway. The huge deck is awesome and a great place to unwind after a long day of riding. For the price Virginia charges for the cabin you really can not beat this deal. We will definately be back next year.

I stayed here in early October with two cousins. We ride our motorcycles to the mountains often and this is one of the nicest cabins we've found. The owners were very helpful with questions. The cabin is even nicer than the photos can depict. If you want a nice cabin that is spotlessly clean then this is the cabin for you. If you like being isolated away from the world, this is the cabin for you. It is isolated but nicely located for quick access to many mountain destination. I cannot say enough nice things about this cabin.

My family and I just returned from four wonderful nights at this great cabin. The property was just a described, clean and neat. I would like to add a special note to the motorcyclist considering this property. The cabin is only 0.7 miles off of "Moonshiner 28" which leads you to the famous 129 "Tail of the Dragon" at Deals Gap. It is possible for dualsport bikes and smaller bike owners to park their bikes in the dry and lockable basement when not out riding. The 0.7 miles of gravel to the cabin is well maintained and level. The driveway is also an easy drive for all types of motorcyles and as noted by other reviewers there is a large gravel parking area that will easily accomodate even a large trailer and SUV. Though the cabin is not close to anything, it is only 10-20 minutes from several area attractions such as Lake Fontana, Fontana Dam, Deals Gap, and the Appalachian Trail. I will be back!

We were pleasantly surprised at how nice this place is. The pictures do not do it justice. It is nice and cozy and nestled in the woods. It was spacious enough for 4 adults and 3 young kids. Very clean, well furnished. It fit our needs perfectly. We had a trailer with 2 motorcycles and an SUV and had plenty of parking. We were even able to get the bikes in out of the rain. It was perfectly placed between the areas we visited and everyone we met on our trip was pleasant. The owners were prompt to reply to any questions we had and were extremely nice. We would definitely return here again and recommend it to anyone. The price was fantastic for the cozy accomodations. We thank the Acords for sharing their beautiful home with us.

Everything was just perfect & completely exceeded our expectations. Thank you, David & Virginia! Our only regret was not staying longer. We took short hikes enjoying the beautiful nature scenes. The sunset was gorgeous atop the mountain.” A picture is only a picture, when we first walked into this cabin we were taken aback and completely surprised by how very nice this cabin is – both inside and out. Things here could not have been any better. We will cherish our memories, take them with us, and hope to one day come back again for more! Thanks again for your hospitality and generosity.” This was a much needed tranquil escape for us.”
