What a great alternative to staying at a Residence Inn or other hotel! The quintessential way to stay in Seattle on a pristine houseboat in a great location. Very well equipped, the kitchen is loaded. It even has a pod coffee maker.
The Molly Brown is a wonderful place to relax! It is located in a condominium marina. You'll have a parking permit to guarantee you a parking place in the lot (quite a premium in Seattle!) and laundry facilities on the dock. There's a security code to open the gate and quiet hours overnight to guarantee you a restful night. This is a really lovely neighborhood with so much character and neighbors who are friendly and diverse!
Perfect for someone who enjoys fitness... a kayak, fitness trail, bike rental available... The trail is 14 miles long and will take you past the Ballard Locks and on to Golden Gardens Park and Shilshole beach to the west, or the University of Washington and all the way to Bothell Washington to the east!
You'll find Seattle tour books, Seattle jigsaw puzzles, Sleepless in Seattle DVD aboard the Molly Brown! All things Seattle! Every guest arrives to a basket of Seattle products and tourist information.
The high ceilings continue the cedar woodwork which covers the walls throughout the houseboat. The large ceiling fan works with a remote control, as does the electric fireplace which provides atmosphere and heat in the living room! Enjoy the deluxe mattress and luxury linens as the water gently sways the boat and rocks you to sleep.
Weekly housekeeping and linen service is available for an additional fee. (And always a surprise... think fresh baked cookies or ripe Washington State cherries). Also for additional fee, wireless internet connection.
Rental is by the week, with a FOUR WEEK MINIMUM.
And, of course.... location, location, location!!! You couldn't choose a more perfect location to enjoy all that Seattle has to offer. You're minutes from Seattle Center and the Space Needle, the monorail to downtown. There's a new streetcar from South Lake Union to downtown shopping, and the underground bus tunnels.
The Fremont Outdoor Sunday Market is the best - flowers, food, collectibles, arts and crafts... And in the summer, Outdoor Cinema in Fremont every Saturday night. The Marina is located right next to GasWorks Park, which is THE place to fly a kite or enjoy some awesome views of the lake!
The geese and ducks come to visit you at your front deck. This is the ultimate Seattle experience, and for less than a hotel room! Lucky you!! |
