Thoroughly enjoyed our time here. It was so relaxing! We had everything we needed and were so impressed with all the detailed maps in the green book when we ventured out for a drive. Definitely the most organized VRBO rental we have ever stayed in! (and we've stayed in quite a few!) Thanks so much for sharing your "slice of mountain heaven " with us.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
Owner response: We are fortunate to be in a area with so many beautiful places to see and enjoy. Whether it is hiking a trail, fishing one of our many streams, climbing a 14er, taking a car ride over Independence Pass or just watching the mountains change throughout the day from our deck. We want all our guests to be informed with what to do in our area and the green book helps them decide and return safely back to Timberline. We hope to see you again sometime in the future.

Thanks for letting us stay at your wonderful place. It was all as you described-so beautiful. I wish we could visit every season to see how the views change. Hiking and horseback riding are a must! Lots of scenic tours around the area. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
Owner response: Judy, it was a pleasure talking with you and having you stay with us. All of Colorado seasons are beautiful but fall is special. The cool days and cooler nights, the woodburning smell in the air, the changing of the aspen trees. We hope that you can come again sometime in September.

My husband and I spent two weeks here for our honeymoon, and it was exactly what we were wanting! It was very secluded and private, the views were gorgeous, and the weather was great! The cabin was just as beautiful, clean, and spacious as the pictures suggest. Brenda was so helpful--easy to contact and quick to answer all our questions. My husband and I will definitely be recommending this place to our friends, and we hope that we can return at some point!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, romantic getaway, age 55+.
Owner response: We spent our honeymoon in the mountains many, many, many years ago so honeymooners have a special place in our heart! Thank you for your kind words and spending this special time at Timberline.

Timberline Lodge and Alma is the perfect location-very secluded yet so close to many activities. Alma & Timberline make the absolute perfect “base camp”. Timberline Lodge is awesome-the little touches like the popcorn machine & board games, plus great deck, hot tub, and bird feeder make the cabin special. The location is superb! I only wish Timberline could sleep 8! We want to come back next summer and bring our 3 grown kids & their friends. Thanks so much for the exemplary hospitality!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.
Owner response: Gary, Your kind words are appreciated and we are very glad that you and Lynn had such a wonderful time in our area. We try to make Timberline your home away from home and like to add "little extra's" to make you smile when you stay with us. We look forward to having you visit again.

We are from Houston, met my brother & sister in law in Tulsa, Ok. where they live, then we flew to Denver & rented a car to Timberlline. The photos that Brenda (owner) have posted really does not do the place justice. It is the most beautiful place to stay & relax. We enjoyed just setting there in the morning, drinking coffee & looking out the windows at the beautiful mountains!! It snowed lightly one morning for about 30 to 45 min. & of course being from Houston, we got excited. But you can see that Brenda has put a lot of thought, love & energy into making the cabin a place that everyone can enjoy. We will always be grateful to her for sharing a part of her "heaven" with us. It makes you stop & realize what God had created for us & it is ashame that we do not slow down long enough to enjoy his creations. Again, Brenda, thank you for sharing with us. Hope to be back before too long. The Grimes & The JacobsRecommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, romantic getaway.
Owner response: Thanks so much for your wonderful review. We try very hard to make certain everyone enjoys their stay. It was our pleasure having you stay and we look forward to your possible return.

We live in Denver and because so, we have enjoyed access to a number of mountain places over many years, but this place is special. This little Alma house is absolutely spotless and beautifully decorated. The views, almost along the timberline, are positively stunning and you can enjoy them from the living room as well as from the hot tub on the deck. Wildlife viewing is absolutely incredible too! The owners have filled the house with charm and the beds are as comfortable as those you'd find in a 4 star Denver hotel. So very few mountain properties are as well maintained as this cabin and it shows the very second you enter the front door. Thanks Brenda and Doug, you have a terrific place that will create so many memories for those who are lucky enough to learn about this cabin and have the chance to stay at your little slice of heaven on the mountain!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
Owner response: Thank you for choosing to stay with us! I'm glad that our home met with your expectations and you enjoyed your stay. Whatever the season Timberline offers the beauty of Colorado. We have a Facebook page this year and I plan on posting area events and the ever changing scenery around Timberline. I hope you will consider staying with us again in the future.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2006
About the owner: We have lived, worked and raised two boys in the mountains of Colorado since 1977. We became empty-nesters and moved to downtown Denver and live across from Coors Field baseball park with our 10 year old chocolate lab Hunter. We built 'Timberline' in 2006 and rented it short term the summer of 2009 & 2011, With a few exceptions we decided to use our home for personal use in 2010 and would love to have you visit in 2012.
Why the Owner Chose Alma:
We have owned a 'cabin' in the mountains since 2000 and have many memories of hiking, skiing ,and taking 4-wheel drive trips etc. with friends and family over the years. Colorado has sunshine filled days year round and the outdoors of our area has much to offer. Every 'cabin' we have owned has been rented short term and enjoyed by many from all over the USA and foreign countries.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Our home 'Timberline' has been enjoyed by numerous honeymoon couples, families, and adults who want to experience the beauty of the Colorado mountains. We back to the National Forest, have drop dead gorgeous views, private yet not isolated, several 14's just outside our door, trout fishing area's close by, reservoir with huge 'jaw dropping' waterfall and old mine, close to Breckenridge with many year round events. Enjoy our hot tub while watching the sunset and sipping wine or your favorite cocktail. Feed the birds and watch the chipmunks. After you are settled check out our Welcome Book stuffed with things to do in our area. There is something to do for everyone. We would love to help you create the perfect Colorado vacation.
