We rented the last week of July/ first week of August 2012. Very busy time in Seaside of course, Which was great for the 6 teenagers we took. Plenty of room for everyone. Lemon Tree is approx 100 ft. away from town center and I could see part of the movie screen and hear the concerts from the front porch. The sweeping lawns of the Lyceum are directly across the street to run around in, Soooooo convenient to everything. I would agree with the other comments that is it showing a little wear but these properties are VERY popular and get a lot of use FOR GOOD REASON. The kitchens are usually not stocked with much so you will need a supply of paper towels, dish soap, and some basic cooking supplies if you plan to travel with 6 teenagers. That seems pretty common in this area though. You MUST use the cones to maintain your front row parking space during the peak times. That being said, I would definitely recommend the Lemon Tree Resort for an awesome vacation.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children.

This house was great and is located in a perfect spot for a vacation getaway in Seaside. Walking distance to everything. Plenty of room and all of our needs were met. The only con to the entire house was that if you have a 4th or 5th couple with you on your vacation, the upstairs bedroom on the left is more suitable for children and not couples because it lacks privacy, isnt' very spacious, and you have to share a bathroom with the other bedroom. Overall though, this place was awesome and we had no complaints about it whatsoever! I would refer the Lemon Tree to a friend and would stay there again most definitely!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers.

We stayed at Lemon Tree for a long weekend and it was just as described. The inside of the home was very spacious and cozy at the same time, with lots of whimsical touches. Everything we needed was there, including lots of clean, fluffy towels. The master bed was beautiful and very comfortable and master shower was huge. The kids loved staying in the double beds upstairs and particularly loved having their own little TV cubby. The location was so perfect. We didn't use our car the whole time we were there since we were close to everything. We really enjoyed riding bikes throughout Seaside and just meandering. We loved sitting on the front porch with coffee in the morning and playing Trivial Pursuit in the evening while watching other guests stroll by. We would definitely recommend this home to our friends and family and anyone who wants a relaxed but upscale getaway.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children.

There were a few problems at the cottage when we arrived. There was a hole in the chair arm. The oven light would not turn off. I thought that the house should have been provided with more garbage bags and dishwasher tabs, as well as towels. We also did not have the pool & fitness room codes when we arrived. The house was great as far as rooms for the families staying there. The shower on the back porch was a definite plus! We also liked the location. We didn't feel the need to rent bikes for this stay because it was so close to everything.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children.
Owner response: Thank you for your comments. We have since replaced the worn furniture and now provide more disposables(garbage bags, etc...). The amenity passes are available upon request as indicated in check-in instructions. Should you wish to have access to the pools, tennis courts, etc.. just let us know and we will provide you with the necessary pass/code information.

The property is clean and is in a great location as you are just seconds to the ampitheatre and shops of seaside. The beach is just a few more steps away. The kitchen is small and the dining room table has to be pushed against a wall when you are not eating, but both are functional. Beds are comfortable. House is starting to show wear and tear and there are several lingering maintenance issues that i noticed in prior reviews. Oh - and you have to be aggressive in using the cones to save your parking spots when you are gone.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with young children.

Nice Cottage. GREAT loaction, but a little worn. Master shower needs repairs. There are cracks in the shower that will cause owner problems down the line if not corrected. Shower door in master bath does not open/close unless you pull up on it? The kitchen couls be stocked a little better......Recommended for: Tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children.

You can't beat the location. Only a few steps to the square and a few more steps to the beach, not to mention a large school yard across the street to play outdoor games, plus kids could ride bikes all over town safely all day. The house was great....well stocked utensils in the kitchen made cooking for a big family easy rather than the cost of eating out a lot. The house was very comfortable for hanging out, playing games, working puzzles or just chill'n with the tv or a book. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because of the struggle we had to heat it downstairs with the unusually cold weather we had at night.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers.

Clean, comfortable house. Very well decorated. Plenty of parking (if not during the busy time of the day when employees or guest came to visit the square). Great location. Quiet, peaceful. Great back porch area. Front porch was large and nice chairs for sitting. Yard was clean and orderly. Kitchen worked fine. Refrigerator is very nice. Small, very small issues that should be addressed as to continue the high standard of Seaside. 1. Toilet handle sticks in "flushed" position in down stair master bath. 2. Shower door will not close fully, master bath. 3. Living room furniture torn and worn, holes in two chairs. 4. Dining table awkward to walk around, almost seems the house plan forgot to put in a good place for a dinning room table. Constant chock point was the table chairs and kitchen counter. 5. Master bedroom down stairs - fire alarm beeped in the middle of the night. 6. Master bedroom closets are clutter with cans of paint, old tv (or something) wadded up blankets.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

The Lemon Tree worked great for us. We had two families, each with two kids, 9 and 14. The room upstairs with the bigger bed worked great for the two 14 year-old girls and the room with the built-in beds worked great for the nine-year olds - one a boy and one a girl. Loved the porches. We spent a lot of time on the front porch, but the back porch is a nice, more private spot. The kitchen is great size. A previous lodger had complained about the air- conditioning - but it worked great for us during relatively warm temperatures. Great artwork. We would come back to the Lemon Tree.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children.
