Misty’s Oz is a beautiful three bedroom, two bath carriage home with central air conditioning, located on a small, private cul-de-sac on the original land where Misty once roamed. Quiet, peaceful yet convenient and accessible. Just one and a half miles to downtown shops and an easy three and a half mile bike ride to Asseteaque Island, where the ponies and beaches are.
Walk to crabbing/fishing piers, a deepwater marina (Captain Bob's) on Chincoteague Channel and the trolley stop at Beebe and Ridge Roads (summers only).
While relaxing at home enjoy a beautifully appointed open floor plan, a screened-in porch and rear deck, all perfect for entertaining or relaxing with your friends and family. The kitchen is filled with just about any utensil or gadget a chief could ever want. An extension for the table allows seating for eight or more.

The first floor master bedroom hosts an impressive queens size canapé bed and a 20” television. The room has a French sliding door which opens to the rear deck. Across the hall is the master bath and a laundry closet with a full-size washer and dryer.
Upstairs the large front bedroom is furnished in hip sabby chic décor with a king size bed. The backroom is more traditional with two wooden twin slay beds. Both rooms feature vaulted ceilings, large windows, ceiling fans and cable television. The upstairs bath is located between the two rooms with access from the hallway and directly from the front bedroom.
Outside the large driveway allows for plenty of parking. The yard is beautifully landscaped. The screened porch is furnished with a table perfect for outdoor dining in the cool summers night breeze or you can make your own breeze with the over head ceiling fan. The porch also is furnished with an outdoor bar and stools, a nice place to relax with a cool liquid refreshment. In the back deck area there is a gas grill, a small breakfast table and two chairs as well as an outdoor shower.
Weekly rentals available year round. Daily rental rates are only available off season with a few exceptions. Rentals are from Saturday to Saturday. House is reserved with a signed rental agreement and deposit of half the grand total. Final Payment due 14 days before your stay. This was our first stay at Misty's Oz but won't be our last. We loved the screened porch and looking at all the stars at night from the back deck. The mosiqtoes were bad but I guess that is to be expected on an island. Really loved the jet ski tour around the lsland. The house is furnished beautifully. Looks as if someone has stock in Bed Bath and Beyone. The kitchen has everything you'd need to make a meal. Actually better equiped than my kitchen at home. Can't wait to go back.

We love this place and can't wait to go back. The island is so peaceful and Marsh Point Lane is so quiet just what we wanted. Misty's Oz is all that Chip and Heath said it was. The kitchen is better equiped than my home kitchen and has top of the line cookware a big suprise for a rental home. The screened porch is beautiful. Can't wait to come back during warm weather so we can hang there. The beaches took a hit during the fall storms but they are making headway on restoring them. We'll be back very soon.

My husband and I stayed at Misty's Oz for a month (June 4-July 4, 2009). It was just about the most peaceful vacation we have ever had. The house itself is situated on a quiet, shady lane. We (and our two cats) spent almost all of our time on the large screened-in porch, watching the wildlife--enjoying the birds and the quiet. But it was great to have the central air conditioning on those days when it got really warm. Assateague Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in the US, is an easy 15-minute drive away. There are plenty of good restaurants on the island, and you can be as busy or as lazy as you want to be. The house is very attractively furnished, and the kitchen is almost better equipped than our one at home! Our laptop worked great with the wireless connection. Chip and Heath were always easily acessible by e-mail or phone, and really seemed to care that we had a successful vacation. (We did!!) We are on our way to our next assignment with the US Department of State Foreign Service, to the American Embassy in Rome, and I told my husband I'd rather stay at Misty's Oz! We will return......

Chincoteague, a fabulous place to spend a long relaxing weekend in the fall. Sport loved lying in the sun on the deck. Chip and Heath have painstakingly thought of every detail in furnishing this beautiful home and in fully supplying the kitchen. We felt like we had walked into a Bed Bath and Beyond. Can't wait to come back next year, guys!

We have just returned from a week spent on Chincoteague, staying at Misty's Oz. This was our second visit to Chincoteague, our first at Misty's Oz and it was even better than last year. We had a great time. VERY RELAXING. Just what we wanted. And Misty's Oz was a wonderful place to stay!!! My wife will tell you that the home was nicely decorated. I will tell you that the layout and efficiency of this home are inspiring. Perfect for four people. The great room on the lower level was easy to use. The upstairs bedrooms were roomy, plus there was one bedroom on the first floor which my father-in-law used two nights. EXCELLENT! I would HIGHLY recommend a stay at Misty's Oz and Chincoteague. Pristine beaches, magnificent scenery, laid back atmosphere and fantastic lodging. You really couldn't ask for anything more.

Dear Chip and Heath, We had a lovely, peaceful and restful week at Misty's Oz. Such a lovely house with everything one could ask for in the way of comfort. Neither Russ or I are 'campers", we like the comforts of home away from home. We especially enjoyed the screened in porch. Paris (our bichon) absolutely loved it. He wanted to stay out there all the time. We arrived at exactly 3:00 PM on June 24th. The house was very clean.....The weather was great.....just wanted to drop you a line to say thank you for sharing your home with us and for allowing our Paris to enjoy it as also....Thanks again-we really enjoyed our week there and hated to leave....

Misty's Oz is a beautiful home on a beautiful Island. We really enjoyed our Long weekend and wish we had booked for the week. I also wish we had known sooner how great fall is on the island and what a blast the Oyster festival is. We loved all of the yard sales and flee markets in the area and our time at the beach. Who would have thought the water was so warm in October. We had the beach to ourselves one afternoon. The mo-peds we rented we so much fun. We rode them all over Chincoteague and Asseteague. We will definitely return to Chincoteague and will certainly stay at Misty's Oz again. Chip and Heath the house is everything you described and more. The website pictures truly do not do it justice. Merci!

We have stayed at Misty's Oz twice. The house is beautiful and very welcoming. Chip and Heath could not be more gracious hosts. If you are looking for a spectacular place to relax and enjoy all that Chincoteague has to offer, this indeed is THEE place to stay. Our dog, Sarah, gives it four paws up!!!
