  • New Years Eve Vacation

"To anyone thinking of a vacation in Turks and Caicos, this property is highly recommended. The accommodations are extremely comfortable and the owner's thoughtful assistance was a fantastic bonus. The property is down the street from the most beautiful beach in the world, and a short walk from shopping, lots of dining options and a great harbor. I would recommend renting a scooter, you can see the whole island in a couple days, and taxis can get a little expensive. Bon Voyage!"

  • The perfect TCI vacation vill!

"Had a great week at Villa Tropidero. A melancholia usually colors that last day when you are on vacation, but this villa will make you downright sad to leave. The villa itself is nicely outfitted with everything you need for when you aren't enjoying the pool or beach. Delightful bedrooms, great views from the terraces, large spaces downstairs, DirecTV, a nice DVD library, beach books are there if you need/ want. The beach was peaceful beyond words. We saw other vacationers at a distance twice... Used the kayaks and explored the area and visited one of the cays. My daughters rented a pair of stand-up paddle boards and thoroughly enjoyed them ( used SUP PROVO , very convenient - they dropped off/ picked up). Be prepared for high grocery bills ( I can't fathom how the locals do it). I thought the restaurants were fairly priced, however,I'm used to New York tabs. Overall ...when I return to TCI ,I will stay here agin. Pam was outstanding. Excellent communications contribute to a positive experience. Highly recommended."

  • Great Location....so why didn't I love it?

"The location was great facing the ocean from the back of the complex. We could hear the waves of Grace Bay breaking on the beach. The unit itself was adequate bur seemed over priced for what it was. It needs a slight sprucing up and the bed was not comfortable comfortable but what the hell.....we didn't go there to sleep. The little cafe on the property was a plus and the kitchen and coffee maker were brand new and worked well. I guess the measure is: "would I book this unit again?" and my answer is maybe. TCI is a great Caribbean location but I have been all over the Caribbean and would give the TCI a "B","

Providenciales Travel Tips

Providenciales Vacation Rentals on 38 Square Miles of Bliss

Getting to Providenciales vacation rentals could not be easier. The island is home to the region’s only international airport. While it is the major resort area of the Turks and Caicos Islands, it is just 38 square miles. But those 38 square miles are a vacation paradise! Once you arrive for your Providenciales travel, venture to between the islands to discover each island’s unique characteristics. With a base in Providenciales, there are plenty of opportunities to take day trips out to explore the rest of this stunningly beautiful and tranquil area. It is close in distance to many major U.S. destinations, making it an ideal vacation for Americans. Temperatures here are constant throughout the year with averages between the 70s and 80s Fahrenheit, with little humidity and rain. Although the islands are British territory, the currency is the U.S. dollar.

As recently as the 1960s, there were no cars on the islands. Now, visitors can hire a 4x4 Jeep to make exploring all those out-of-the-way places easy. Another great option is to use the Gecko Shuttle, operating from Grace Bay. Be sure to buy your token before you board.

Stay at Providenciales Villas on the Beaches and Discover Paradise

Provo, as it is called locally, is the most developed of the islands, with resorts, golf courses and casinos. When asked, many visitors say they come for the pristine beaches and crystal-clear waters. The beaches are beautiful but there is much more to Provo that that! Such as the unique Caicos Banks, an undersea pillar that comes from the depths of the ocean to within 30 to 50 feet of the surface. This bank provides safe inshore waters, just perfect for snorkeling, swimming and boating. Outside of the bank is a treacherous reef notorious for wrecking ships which makes for great diving and deep sea fishing.

There are a few tips to be aware of when hitting the beaches here. All the beaches are free and public, including those by hotels and private homes. Most of the coastline is part of the national park, and fishing is not allowed from the beach. There are a huge variety of watersports for visitors, including jet skiing, jet boating, skiff boating, kayaking, glass-bottom boat trips, parasailing, banana boats, semi-submarine trips, kiteboarding, and windsurfing. If you're ready to try something more than snorkeling but not quite ready to try diving, try snuba!

Meet the World’s Only Performing Conch!

For the days when the beach doesn’t beckon, there are golf and miniature golf, horseback riding, tennis, bicycling, jogging and soccer; you can also wander the miles of beach searching for shells and driftwood. Beach-combing can be one of the most delightful ways to spend a leisurely morning at Northwest Point. Here, the pounding surf brings new treasures with every wave. Then, of course, there are a variety of sights and attractions scattered around Provo. Try a visit to the Cheshire Hall Plantation Ruins, explore the spectacular caves and rock carvings at Sapodilla Hill and West Harbor Bluff, and sample the local beer with a visit to Turks Head Microbrewery and the world’s only conch farm at Caicos Conch Farm. Make sure to see the live show featuring some trained conchs!
