  • Fantastic Location!

"My husband and I recently stayed in this condo with our 6 month old son. It was absolutely perfect for our vacation in Maui! The location is fantastic. There is a great beach right across the street and it is within walking distance from many great shops and restaurants. I think what we liked best about the condo is that it is on the ground level over looking the pool. Every morning we had our breakfast and coffee on the lanai while our little guy played on the grass. We had a great vacation in Maui...unfortunately it was too short!! Mahalo!"

  • We love Kamole Sands

"This is our second trip to Kamole Sands, first time in this unit, It won't be our last. The location is perfect with beaches and pools all within walking distance. No loud party scene so you can sleep well at night, the birds start singing at 6am so bring your earplugs if you want to sleep in. This condo is very much as advertised and we felt it was priced fairly for what you got. It was very clean and well appointed - there were no surprises. Cupboards were well stocked with seasons/spices/condiments and all the "little" things that you usually forget to bring. The closet on the (large) lanai was full of beach toys/chairs/loungers/boogie boards so you don't have to buy that stuff for just a weeks worth of use. There were even 4 tennis rackets with a sleeve of balls so the kids and I could play tennis at the Kam Sands courts. Communication with the owners was easy and strait forward. We appreciate that the resort fee and cleaning fees were pre-paid so that we didn't have to mess with that at check-in. Some of the best snorkeling is right at Kamole 3 beach across the road. We rented bikes one day from South Maui bikes in "downtown" Kihei and got a drop off at teh top of Haleakala for a great ride down. Advice: skip the sunrise to avoid traffic on the road to Haleakala. There were very few cars on the winding mountain road on a weekday between 8am and noon. The AC unit is functional, if not a little noisy. We are from Alaska, so we ran it most nights to keep the temp down a few degrees. If you are from the lower-48 you probably wouldn't use it at all. There was a nice TV that we never used. We would definitely recommend this unit and consider it for a return trip in the future."

  • Outstanding for the Price

"Oh Maui…how I miss you and I've only been back on the mainland for a week. Al’s unit is very equipped for all your needs. Coolers, snorkel/fins, lots of towels etc. All the little items are a plus. It still sucks that cleaning crews can’t leave mustard & ketchup in the fridges, but I’m getting off track. The unit is updated vs. others I have stayed in at Maui Sunset. Tile throughout is great! Location right next to parking on A side is great. People will complain about the loudness of the AC units, but that is pretty normal. Bring your ear plugs if you don’t like white noise. You’re not in the rain forest. Only complaint I have is that the bed frame is squeaky. Any movement for two people can be a little disruptive if you’re a light sleeper. The bed itself is very comfortable and it’s a Queen. If you like Kings, you’re in trouble. I haven’t found one yet at Maui Sunset. For the price, it’s a 5 out of 5. It’s not the Grand Wailea and don’t bitch because you don’t have fresh towels every day. It’s a Condo with a great manicured lawn and central to everywhere on the island. Mahalo!"

  • A little piece of paradise

"It's Maui and this condo is in pristine condition, very well maintained complex, very convenient location. This was my first vacation in hawaii and I am very happy to have found this place. I think I will rent again if I visit Maui again. The condo is light years better than the so-called "condos" in the nearby hotels which cost the same at best. Highly recommended and please keep the place in good shape, I will rent it again someday :)"
