Pisgah Paws - This mountain cabin has its own little perch upon the mountain, nestled in the midst of the Pisgah National Forest. This cabin is named after Mt Pisgah which is the Third tallest mountain east of the Mississippi. The Mt Pisgah tower lights can be seen while sitting in the hot tub, epecially in the winter. The secluded porch ensures your privacy while allowing you to enjoy the mountain views from your hot tub. The Pisgah Paws has a wooded view you can sneak peeks of the distant mountains and have long range views in the winter. It looks away from the other cabins above the bank of rhododendrons. The Pisgah Paws faces Mount Pisgah with views of the giant mountain in the winter. Enjoy the breezy afternoons of summer and the excellent colors of fall and spring. The fall views of the leaves and mountains turning orange, yellow, and red are particularly nice. Spring flowers greet you on your drive in and while you stay. A pet is by no means required to stay in this cabin, but if you do bring your pet, please bring your portable kennel with you so your pet will be happy, should you go exploring the city or the woods. The Pisgah Paws is pet-friendly!
My boyfriend and I walked into the cabin and loved it the first moment we saw it. It was clean, very well maintained, nicely furnished, cozy, and relaxing. The kitchen had all the utensils and appliances that we needed. The bed and futon were very comfortable, and all the channels on the TV were great. The best part was the large hot tub. A 6 person hot tub for the two of us was so relaxing, and the grill was well maintained and clean. I would def. recommend this cabin. We plan on going back...we wish we didn't have to leave in the first place
My boyfriend and I chose to spend his birthday at Pisgah Paws and when we walked in, the mood was set--the TV was on and set to a nice Christmas music station, the fireplace was burning, and the hot tub was heating! You really can't get any better than this. Pisgah Paws was clean, comfy, cozy, and affordable. I really couldn't ask for more. On arrival I was very impressed with the privacy and overall set up. The 20 minute drive to Asheville was not an issue for us and we visited Downtown Asheville and The Biltmore Estate during our stay. We also found time to hike. I would definitely stay at Pisgah Paws again and am looking forward to it.
The cabins were very quaint and had everything you need. My only issue was It says cabins of Asheville and the drive is quite far but we extremely close to hiking and other great activities. We only went to Asheville twice during our week stay. We enjoyed the propane fireplace and the hotter in the evening which after hiking was very relaxing. What we loved most was we had our 2 dogs with us.
Great log cabin architecture in a very private setting. Great location with a short drive up to The Pisqah Inn where we enjoyed fresh mountain trout and a spectacular view!. Only 20 minutes from Asheville but a world away. We highly recommend Pisqah Paws and will be back next summer!
Hope to get away from it all, and we did. Very Private and Quiet , well except for the cicadas , they were amazing sounding and LOAD. Air conditioning was a pleasant surprise. Everything else was just right.
My husband and I had an excellent time staying in Pisgah Paws (dog friendly cabin) with our two pups. We felt that it met all of our needs and felt very private, even though there are other cottages within view from the front of the cabin. The cell service was patchy up in the mountains, but that was expected and didn't affect our stay. We would definitely come back if we visit Asheville again.
We are only 4 mile from the entrance of the Blue Ridge Parkway and a short 20 minute drive into Downtown Asheville. Our property touches the Pisgah National Forest. When you are in your cabin it feels like you are 100 miles away from all the troubles and Stresses of the world.
