Heavenly Hideaway Cabin, Hot Tub, Lots of Privacy in the Woods

Bedrooms 1
Space 738 sq ft
Property type cabin
Minimum Stay 2 - 3 nights

About the property

Cabin, 1 Bedroom, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 2)

This is a 'Peace' of Cloud 9 Farm where the two of you will have secluded privacy and a hot tub facing the woods.

Close to the Biltmore Estate and Asheville (15 min. away), Heavenly Hideaway was created with romantic couples in mind...a 'peace of heaven' awaits you. It is a place to get away with privacy and adventure of the outdoors on Cloud 9 Farm. Yes, that's right, this cabin is on our Conservation Farm with the owner living on this 200 acres...mostly woods but a valley to see our cows, swimming hole, chickens and U-Pick blueberries. You are half way up the hill top in the woods.

Everything you need is in this cozy, 750 square foot cabin with cathedral ceilings plus a full length deck that leads to an under-the-stars hot tub. Wireless internet, HGTV and Blue Ray. And, yes, Uber comes here!

All is on one level, with one easy step inside from driveway door. 15 foot high cathedral ceilings, unique hand-carved timbers (find the massive hand-chiseled dove-tail), mountain laurel accents and specially milled red oak-paneled walls, surround you in luxurious cabin-style that smells of wood. Enjoy air conditioning or the cool mountain breezes that Blue Ridge Mountains can brag about in the heat of summer. Groceries are just 3.5 miles away as well as a cute 'Local Joint Cafe' for meals. Request a breakfast layout or stocking of the fridge for a small fee. Fresh, farm eggs come with every rental when the hens are laying.

Entering this 200 acres of invitation-only private estate, you will feel transported back in time, the way life should be. There are so many trails to explore, you could be entertained here without having to leave! 'Cocoon' right here ... tilt all the way back in the leather sofa in front of the big screen TV/fireplace. Bedroom and bath are separate rooms in this 750 sq ft cabin.

Need more room? Check out Cloud 9 Relaxation Home farther up the hill for 2 to 6 people. see VRBO #34641 If you are creative, you can do some internet research on the name of our Cloud 9 Farm, put it all together as one word with a dot net. There you could find out our contact information.

The Grove Park Inn, Biltmore Estate, Chimney Rock Park and the Blue Ridge Parkway are an easy daytime jaunt. Plus, lots of eclectic restaurants with fresh, locally grown food are here in Asheville. We have a list of favorites in the notebook on the desk.

Hike safe trails through the Cloud 9 woods, mountain bike, fish or swim in Peterson pond, pick blueberries on our U-Pick farm in season, watch cows lazily grazing in green valley pastures, feed the chickens, kick a few rocks down the road... just come!

Pet friendly $50/ Dogs only (one dog, call if more)

Dogs love exploring the farm!

About Janet Peterson

Janet, here, your hostess at Cloud 9 Properties, LLC. You'll find me in the Blueberry Patch most of the time, because in July we have a U-Pick farm but the rest of the time I'm tending the plants or working my bees. Our sing-a-long jingle on Cloud 9 Farm is 'Beds, Berries, Trees, Beef and Honey Bees' I guess you're most interested in the 'Beds' part, but the cows, chickens, pollination honey bees, and forestry management you might want to tour because it all makes Heavenly Hideaway a unique place. I live on the farm, too.

Janet Peterson purchased this cabin in 2007

Why Janet Peterson chose Fletcher

Cloud 9 Relaxation Home is my family home - now a vacation rental completely updated (but you'll see the retro touches) over-looking the Blue Ridge Mountain valleys of Fairview, just 15 miles SE of Asheville, NC. It is the premier hilltop location for views and gatherings up to 6 people. But the cozy cabin, Heavenly Hideaway, in the woods, with a hot tub off the main driveway is where you want to be for a private couples get-away. Silver Lining Cabin is our newest luxury cabin for 2-6. I put lots of love into caring for each one.

What makes this cabin unique

Because I live on the farm, I'm available 24/7 to answer any concerns that may come up. You'll feel safe here. Besides the fun of watching the sun rise from the kitchen window or early morning hikes on Cloud 9 Farm where you can hear the cows crunching on the lush grass in the pasture, see wood ducks or a blue heron fly in to investigate Peterson pond or hike the mountain trails...besides all that, in 15 minutes you can be on the Biltmore Estate or in downtown Asheville going to an eclectic local foods restaurant or get to Chimney Rock Park and Lake Lure for the afternoon. I recommend the scenic boat ride/dinner tour. In Asheville, you must see the Grove Park Inn and Spa for a lunch on Sunset Terrace or splurge on the spa. (But I do know some day spas, too, just ask.) Waterfalls? Ah, yes, just 40 min. on the Blue Ridge Parkway...Looking Glass Falls, but Dupont State Park has 4 unique falls for a great day trip. And don't forget Sliding Rock, bring your oldest cut-off jeans to wear splashing.

Guestbook comments from the owner

This was our second stay at Heavenly Hideaway on Cloud 9. So we booked directly with Janet. And after the amazing time we once again had up here-we know it will not be the last! This trip was especially special for the two of us as this was our Honeymoon! We really enjoyed the time we spent out on the back deck, meeting the cows and turkeys and the private tour you gave us of your newest property, Silver Lining Cabin. We will certainly be recommending them to our friends and family back home. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful property for those who just need to get away.

Heaven is on Cloud Nine!

  • 5 of 5

Shhhhh.....don't tell anyone about Heavenly Hideaway! We hesitate giving this magical property an outstanding review for fear of not being able to rent it next time we need an escape from reality. Heavenly Hideaway is exactly as the name describes, heaven, hidden in the woods on Cloud Nine (Farm). A vacation, a real escape from life was overdue and the farm and this lovely cottage did the trick. This property offers quiet solace, with a well stocked, comfortable and very private cottage including a totally private hot tub. We only left the property twice during the entire week! After one week on Cloud Nine, we are refreshed, renewed, batteries recharged, and feel like we have made new friends. Janet is an incredible hostess and is committed to making her guests feel very welcome. We are not sure who enjoyed this vacation more but we think our black lab, Guinness did. Daily swims in Peterson Pond and the freedom to run free was a wonderful thing to witness. We are all looking forward to returning very soon for our next farmcation!

Owner's Response: You're right! If you want to get away from people and noise, Heavenly Hideaway Cabin is your place. I like how you said, "recharged" because it's always been our feeling, too, that just driving up the mountain laurel-lined step back in time and can "breathe" again!

Quiet Weekend, Still Close to Downtown

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I got exactly what we wanted out of the Heavenly Hideaway Cabin. We were looking for a quiet weekend in Asheville but still wanted to be close enough to go downtown to eat and do a little sight seeing. This place was perfect! The cabin was nicely decorated, the fireplace was a wonderful feature as we did have a cool weekend, and of course the hot tub on the enclosed back porch was absolutely delightful! We were able to enjoy the inside and outside with our dog while not having to worry. I would highly recommend this little cabin to anyone!

The Only Place I'll Stay in Asheville.

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I recenlty celebrated our one year anniversary at Heavenly Hideaway. The same cabin we honeymooned in the previous year. I cannot express enough that exactly everything you want in a cabin is here; so visit it for yourself! We have so many Asheville to do list items, but once we pulled back in the driveway, we only left once for dinner. Seriously, I searched endlessly on all the sites for a cabin a year ago...and I was fortunate to hit it perfect with Heavenly Hideaway. Janet, the property owner, is fantastic and will make your stay unforgettable.

A great cabin near Asheville!

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I spent 3 wonderful nights in Heavenly Hideaway Cabin. Everything is exactly as pictured. The cabin is well furnished and extremely comfortable, and Janet had everything ready for us: Christmas music playing, hot tub bubbling. It's a great place for walks--we climbed Buzzard's Roost twice. We were alone this time, but plan to bring kids and fur-babies back to the farm in the spring.

Owner's Response: So glad Cloud 9 Farm could provide a place for you to "breathe" in between holiday whirlwinds. Yes, if you tell me you are close, I can turn on the lights and heat for, too, because I live through the woods and can help you out, my pleasure.
