Designed as a romantic getaway for two or a sanctuary for the solo traveler, surround yourself in the dreamy details of the farmhouse décor, mountain views facing sunset, designer kitchen, an open deck with fire bowl and gas grill, a covered deck off the master bedroom and a wall of windows in the great room. This remote location is ideal for those seeking a private place to escape from city life.

Highlights include a wall of windows facing the mountains and the sunset view, a cozy reading corner in the living room overlooking the mountains, full kitchen with gas stove/oven for cooking, farmhouse vintage décor, and plenty of space to stretch out and relax. Special features include:

Wonderful stay!

Well appointed home with all the details provided for! Very clean and beautifully decorated. Our visit was for work, clearing out our Mom's home, after her death, and it was a peaceful place to come back to after difficult days. We were so thankful we found this special home!

Amazing place to stay!!

This is the cleanest most comfortable place we have ever stayed! Saying a lot as we have traveled a lot. The only complaint is the pillows. They need new pillows that are comfortable for as nice a place as it was. Thank you!!

The perfect wedding weekend stay!

We stayed here while we celebrated our wedding weekend and it was so beautiful and quaint. A slight incline / narrow road for the final couple minutes of the drive, but worth it to get the views on the balconies outside. House was clean and the bed was very comfortable. We hope to stay here again in the future!

Wonderful weekend work trip

My husband and I had to work at the hospital in the area and wanted a place that allowed us to fully unwind and recharge from the day. This place was above and beyond our expectations. The pictures online did not do it justice. The host thought of everything that we needed for the stay. Cannot wait to come back for another weekend!

Perfect 40th Anniversary Retreat

Ahhhh….the perfect “40th Anniversary Retreat” to the NC mountains!! Up the mountain on a winding one-lane road to discover a cabin surrounded by nature looking out over a beautiful vista of the Smoky Mountains! We opened the cabin door and our four night stay in this lovely abode began… My husband & I have rarely experienced such a welcoming haven away from home. A quiet atmospere in shades and various textures of white and cream with natural accents of gray, tan, green…here and there a dash of black, silver, copper, glass and naturally antiqued metal surfaces. Vintage pieces of furniture adorned with ginger bread decoration are perfectly melded with sleek modern appliances, a glass walled roomy shower, and a memory foam mattress that carries you away to dreamland each night. We spent 2 afternoons on the enclosed porch reading & lounging on comfortable outdoor furniture. The most minute details were thought of….I was most impressed with the makeup removal washcloth and Tom was quite taken with the mini waffle maker…he created a quick breakfast for two one A.M. that was just right! Mary Ann has obviously put her heart and soul into the creation of this amazing cabin…thank you for making our 40th anniversary celebration perfect in every way! Enjoyed shopping in the cute shops in Dillsboro, Sylva and Highlands…picked up some early Christmas presents for family members. We had an anniversary dinner to remember @ BOOTS Steak House in Dillsboro. Great filet steaks with large house salads & tasty homemade dressings, potato choices, etc. Everytning was cooked to order.

Oustanding cabin, outstanding host

The cabin was exactly as wonderful, clean, and inviting as the photos show. The location was great - tucked away, quiet, private, and a great place to enjoy the mountains. The host's thoughtful and personal touches really made the stay even better than we could have expected. Can't recommend this place enough. My wife and I would love to come back again and again. I can't say enough about the care put into the house, communication and recommendations, and everything that made our stay so memorable.

Exceptional Everthing!

In my personal dictionary next to the words, COMFORT, MOUNTAIN VIEWS AND RELAXATION you would find the picture of this VRBO! Rarely do you find a rental that has every amenity you could think of ( and a few you wouldn't.... like the goodies to make personal waffles), great views outside and amazing electronics inside (TV, surround sound. books, state of the art appliances). Decks open and covered....it's all here! I plan to return and stay even longer next time. Just bring your clothes and a great bottle of wine, slip into one of the robes provided and put your feet up. ..... your host has done all the rest!

Most Excellent !!

Our three night stay at Mary Anne's beautiful farmhouse was perfect for day trips to Great Smoky Mtn NP and hiking to nearby waterfalls just north of Bryson City. Loved the decor and thoughtful touches in the farmhouse. The pumpkin shaped waffle maker and fixings were so cute ! The back porch with it's seating, fire-bowl, grill and amazing view made the end of the day to be looked forward to. So very comfortable king bed !! Extra clean and sparkling new made our three night stay perfect !! Highly recommend !!

Delightful Christmastime Trip

My husband and I had an outstanding stay at Mary Anne’s Farmhouse Cabin. As we entered, it literally took our breath away at how beautifully furnished the cabin was. We were surprised and tickled that she had decorated throughout for Christmas. What an unexpected and delightful treat. We stayed “in” more than we expected because we loved chilling by the fireplace listening to music or outside on the deck by the fire pit taking in the breathtaking views. We actually cooked and dined in during our trip except for venturing out for lunch one day and to cruise the countryside. The place was spotless as if we were the first visitors to have ever stepped through the door. Mary Anne has new state of the art appliances and absolutely anything you would need to make this an A+ stay. We plan to return again and again.

Perfect weekend getaway

My husband and I stayed for 3 nights with our 5 month old. The cabin was even better than the pictures - clean, bright, airy, and extremely well appointed with everything we could have needed (and more). There was documentation provided to answer any questions we may have had, and when I did have one question for the owner she was extremely responsive. I highly recommend and hope we get to return.

I am very passionate about the hospitality business and I love being a host. I have spent most of my career in the lodging business in SW Florida, and moved to the NC Smoky Mountains in 2011. I love that I can share my dream cabin with guests so they can enjoy this serene and beautiful area of the Smokies like I do. I currently work as the Executive Director of Tourism for Swain County, here in NC.

Varför värden valde detta boende

I hired a local builder in 2019 to build this cabin specifically to be a vacation rental property for short term stays. I designed the floor plan so that every room has a mountain view. I must have looked at over a thousand floor plans before I found this one. I thoroughly enjoyed watching this property come out of the ground all the way through designing and decorating this cabin in my favorite modern farmhouse design. Construction was completed in July 2020 and I have been welcoming guests from all over the country.
