Located in the mountains of Marion NC quiet little area. We enjoyed some downtime and the BigFoot festival this past weekend. Everyone in the area is so nice. The house was clean and well updated. Check in and check out was a breeze and the hosts communicated well with us. Will definitely stay there again if or when we go back to the same area.
We enjoyed our stay in this clean, comfortable home. We went hiking, tubing, and shopping in several small towns. Communication with owner was excellent! Only suggestion is curtains in family room and in upstairs bedroom. We would definitely rent here again.

Thanks for the review and suggestions! We are actually on the way to install black out curtains this weekend! Updated photos to come! So glad you had a good stay!
Nice property. Good amenities. Large kitchen and bedrooms. Smart TV was nice as we could use our subscriptions. Driveway was a little steep and tight but that's to be expected in this part of NC. Overall we had a great experience just wished we could have stayed longer.
The property is just as described online. Very cozy and centrally located to many different activities. We had a great time and will visit again given the opportunity. Highly recommended!
Clean, as listed, and great location near to the North Cover Social Club where this year's Disc Golf National Championships were held, which is why we were in town.
My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Breakaway Bungalow! We were visiting friends in the area for five days and it was in the perfect location. There were so many things to see and do in the area. The home was neat and clean, was nicely decorated, and was well equipped with everything we needed. Even though access to the
home was up a steep, gravel driveway, it was easy to get to the house and we appreciated the solitude while still being close to the main road. We would definitely stay at this property again!
We loved the area and being surrounded by all of the beautiful trees. The home was very clean and well stocked. We truly enjoyed our stay.
We will come back.

About the host
Hosted by Carl W Dornan
We are a family of 5; 2 adults, 2 children, and one dog. Like most, we are busy with work, school, home, and multiple activities. But when we can, we escape to the mountains. We love to explore waterfalls, mountain bike, or hike, and enjoy new places to eat and drink.
Why they chose this property
Location, Location, Location! The Breakaway Bungalow provides us with so much. It's in a private location surrounded by trees where we can instantly unwind but our favorite places are at our finger tips (We are talking Black Mountain, Mount Mitchell, Asheville, Brevard). There are plenty of restaurants, breweries, and wineries within a short drive, as well as quick access to the Blue Ridge Parkway, with amazing waterfall hikes and bike trails nearby.
