About the property

Condo , King Bedroom + sofabed/liv. rm, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 2-4)

Lake Toxaway is known as 'The Land of Waterfalls'. Lake Toxaway has the largest number of waterfalls in the southeast. it's a hiker's paradise & a golfer's dream. . A great place to explore and much to do wither it's just sightseeing, fishing, tubing, zip lining, kayaking, antiquing, hiking, visit historic sites, etc.. We're approximately 45 minutes west of Asheville on Hwy 64. This location is close to the Biltmore Estate, Pisgah National Forest, Blue Ridge Parkway, Gorges State Park, Waterfalls, Cradle of Forestry, Allison-Denver House/Silvermont, Brevard Music Center, Horseback Riding, Street Dances, Fishing, Hiking, golf courses & many, many quaint towns. The surrounding area has about 50 golf courses, many specialty stores and antique malls galore plus arts & crafts throughout the small towns to purchase that unique gift. It's captivating waterfall from your back deck flows over solid granite 60 feet wide & 350 feet high. The cool fresh air, the lush green mountain peaks & the roaring mist from the waterfall is phenomenal from the back deck. Condo complete with that rustic, mountain decor with all the immenities including central H/A., 2 fireplaces, king bed, queen sofa bed w/topper, 2 lazy boys, furnished kitchen, 2 TV's, DVD, movies & local books. The porch is a fantastic place to grill out, watch & feed the birds, read a book, or just plain feast your eyes on the beauty of mother nature. At night you can see every star in the sky, enjoy watching the moon rise, catch a glimpse of lighting bugs & hear the sounds of wild life while sitting in the swing. Large pool is available to all guest who stay in the condo units. It's just around the bend but not in view from your condo.

I might add sliding down 'Sliding Rock 'is a must in the summer in Brevard (it's fun for the entire family) plus canoeing or kayaking, gem mining, horseback riding, go to Gorges State Park which is just up the rode to plunder the trails or have a picnic, ride the scenic Blue Ridge Parkway, tour the Builtmore Estate in Asheville, visit the Folk Art Center, go whitewater rafting, trout fishing, tour Cradle of Forestry or Botanical Gardens, Cherokee's zoo, Cherokee Indian Reservation & visit the quaint towns of Waynesville, Highlands, Brevard, Cashiers, Franklin, Sapphire Valley, Bryson City, Sylva & Maggie Valley to name just a few. It's excitement which ever way you turn and you'll be amazed of the beauty of mother nature.

About Paul or Shannon Strojny

My husband bought me this small piece of heaven for an engagement gift. We both fell in love with the area. We have been coming to Lake Toxaway ever since, but decided to include it in my vacation rental business at Tybee Island, Ga. where we live year round. It is so beautiful that we felt like sharing this place with others who could enjoy God's natural beauty. We both stay busy working, and love what we do. We look forward to coming to Lake Toxaway til this day - we just can't get enough of it. We take turns bringing two of our grandchildren each summer to share our time with them. My favorite saying is, 'Time is precious, waste it wisely'

Paul or Shannon Strojny purchased this condo in 1998

Why Paul or Shannon Strojny chose Smoky Mountains

It is simply a peaceful, beautiful, quite area full of natural beauty but with lots of adventure. It's approximately 3,000 ft. above sea level with a fantastic view of the mountains and waterfall. That's what drew us to this place. Any direction you take, you will find an abundance of things to do and discover beauty around every corner of these gorgeous Smoky Mountains.

What makes this condo unique

Having this captivating waterfall to look at 24-7 and the sound of flowing water cascading down the mountain side. I love the bird feeders - you can sit and watch various birds feed most all day including the humming birds. The air smells fantastic and the water is so clear and clean. Every season of the year is a joy to behold. I love the fireplace in the winter and the mountains crested with snow. Even though it doesn't snow alot, it's just enough to make everything look like a wonderland. The summers are pleasant with no humidity and the flowers are so plentiful everywhere you look especially in the spring and fall. The forest seems it's been untouched for hundreds of years; hiking trails and camping areas over a large part of the mountains makes it a great place to explore.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We stayed here to come to visit our son for his 18th birthday while at camp. Loved the view of the waterfalls and the convenience of the location. Bed was so comfy! Enjoyed our stay. Thank you and God Bless

We Fell Asleep Listening to the Waterfall!!

  • 5 of 5

If you're looking for a beautifully decorated condo that sits next to a breathtaking waterfall, look no further! We sat in the swing on the spacious veranda for hours just looking at and listening to the peaceful waterfall. Add to that the close proximity to nice restaurants, trails, more waterfalls, a state park and so many more fun activities, we will be back!!
